We had an Amazing experience here. I am pretty certain that Dr Aulakh saved our cat's life. We had been seeing another vet prior to this and they told us that there was nothing else that they could do for our cat and our only option was a major surgery. But after taking her here, after one visit, she recovered completely. Dr Aulakh gave us a thorough explanation of what he was doing. And why it was being done. We also received a few follow up calls to make sure she was ok. I live this vet! Read Less

We are so delighted with the results of our puppy's spay surgery. The girls at reception were polite and helpful. They were reassuring and knowledgable. After our puppy was examined the vet discovered two baby teeth that shouldn't have been there and were causing problems. They called us immediately and told us the problem and the price. They also trimmed her nails(believe me, it's hard to clip puppy nails) as part of the service. When we picked her up we were given clear instructions and her incision was hardly visible. We were also given pain medication for her if necessary. The next day she was completely back to normal and has been healing fantastically since. Thank you so much for your great work and reasonable honest prices! We are impressed Read Less

First and foremost, as a pet owner, I would like to say I have confidence in the Drs. at this clinic.  I think they are caring and genuinely have the best interest of their pet patients at heart.Where this clinic, in my opinion, falls extremely short is the front end staff.  There is one younger girl who is a shining example of what customer service should be but there are also two other women who would benefit with some customer service skills. The last two times I was at the clinic, as soon as I reported to the front desk I was told there was going to be a wait as they're behind.   The first time I was there, it was the big snow fall we had and the Dr. was caught in traffic - no problem and understandable.  My issue was, if they know they're running behind and patients haven't arrived, why not give the patient a call and say, "hey, we're running about 30 minutes behind", and give them an option to either leave their house later or reschedule.  Tonight, similar scenario, the front end knew they were running late and informed me of the wait.  I reiterated to them about maybe calling the patient to provide some options but instead, both of these women became very defensive, especially the older one and very argumentative. The only interest they had was defending their position so I politely told them that I'm finished talking to them and sat down.I work in the customer service industry and quite honestly, if I was the owner of this clinic, I would seriously look at his front line and either help them improve to reflect a more positive image or make some changes.  These people have the ability to make or break a business and when I'm asked about my experience here, I would say, reception is awful and cannot accept criticism - even if it's a recommendation to improve the clinic, they don't smile, make you feel welcome  - nothing. This is by far the WORST vet I've been to. The staff are rude and show no compassion towards the animals. Their dog boarding/isolation room is located in the same room as the laundry machines. The room reeks of chemicals (bleach, laundry detergent, etc). If a dog's nose is more sensitive than humans, how are they supposed to stay over night let alone weeks in there when I couldn't stand being in there for even a minute?! Not to mention they'll be stuck listening to the loud laundry machine banging right in front of them. One of their vets show no affection towards animals and has no work ethics as well. He gives me the impression that he has no passion for his job, he's just going through the motions for the money. Would not recommend.Read Less

I was pretty nervous in bringing my fur baby here as I am pretty protective when it comes to him. But there was something off with him and I really didn't want to take him all the way where we used to since we have moved and it's far! He wasn't eating his food and seemed depressed and lethargic. My first impression was like "oh fu$!?" as we were waiting to be seen because I heard a conversation between the two reception/vet assistants where one of them referred to another person's dog as "that lady with that disgusting dog." I was shocked, I wasn't sure if I should have left but I figured whatever, improfessional but shouldn't reflect directly to the Vet himself. We were led into one of the examination rooms shortly and this is when my dog really got nervous. He's an 80 pound Husky/lab/collie and who knows what else mix. A rescue and quite a nervous dog in unfamiliar situations. I was very pleased with how the Vet interacted with him!! Gave him time to gain trust, lick his hand and pet him. I've been to a different place in the past where the Vet got nervous and pretty much half assed the whole examination.  Anywhos. He figured that my dog might have an ear infection and couldn't really find anything else wrong with him externally as to why he won't eat his regular food. He was VERY throuough and made suggestions before actually doing them which I found super helpful and nice. He asked before doing any sort of tests. We figured that it might just be the ear infection that had him acting weird and to try that first before anything else. It was pretty expensive. It came to $100 for checkup, ear swab, ear cleaner and an ear drop. I was expecting maybe around $75 range. I would still come back if I had to though! Read Less

I got the recommendation for them from the Richmond Animal Protection Society where I volunteer at on most Sundays. The Dr. was fabulous. I know that this vet does all of Richmond Animal Protection Society's care. I now have two cats from that shelter and both were cared for by 2 road animal hospital with their spays, neuters, and other treatments. he must be trusted to take care of all their animals and they praise him.MY LIKES: -he got me to sign an agreement before he took my pet to the back room to agree to the tests and the fees. I love that because I felt that we were both protected-he only charged $25 to look at my pet which is at least 50% off from other vets-he did NOT try to play my emotions and force multiple tests on my pet at one time which saved my pet from being poked and prodded continuously and it kept some cash in my wallet.-he was knowledgeable. he definitely knew what test to run first and where to go from there. -I called and they told me I could come right away-no wait time at allMY DISLIKES-front counter staff didn't smile once and seemed lethargic-i didnt feel that he explained why we were running certain tests so that made me feel worried about my pets treatment (in the end it was fine but I wish he would have spent more time discussing my questions without rushing my pet to the back to start the tests)With all that being said, I will take my pet here again as my secondary vet.
