Attention Management....we arrived at the scheduled time for our appointment on Tuesday and called from your parking lot to advise your receptionist that we had arrived. On her call back we were informed that they would come and get our dog. We were also informed that we were not allowed into the building and the Vet would contact us by phone while we waited in our car. Our Senior dog gets very stressed in the car and we had driven from New Westminster as we wanted to continue our rapport with Dr. Ubi. At the time we booked our appointment there was ZERO mention of not being able to accompany our pet during the examination and have a dialogue about some of our dog's ailments. As all the information was being exchanged regarding a new patient we should have been advised of this change in policy. Needless to say, had we known about this policy we would not of stressed our dog unnecessarily and wasted two hours of our day.

The staff here always try and make our animals more comfortable and work well with what info we bring in. They provided us with information that our previous vet (at another clinic) did not provide and put it in terms that we could understand. They eased fears by providing clear and understandable diagnoses and things to do for our senior pets.

Just got my first puppy and thought I’d give this place a chance since I live really close. Dr. Chipperfield went beyond what I expected of her. She was amazing and answered every single question I had for her and I asked her quite a bit. She was enthusiastic and was happy to answer all of them. She showed my puppy Rocky to everyone including their own dogs and sent me home with some goodies. Great place and will continue to come back for all my pets needs.

I was recommended here by BCSPCA when I adopted my cat. The vets have always been very kind and informative when it comes to caring for my kitty. I'll always receive follow-up calls to check in on my cat, whether she's already home or still at the vet. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly whenever I have any questions or concerns. They've allowed me to return food that my cat refused to eat without any problems. They are also very helpful and cooperative when you are trying to process pet insurance claims.

Every single one of the staff truly cares about the well being of you and your animal, I’ve never met such an incredible bunch of people than those at the Richmond Animal Hospital. Especially Dr. Michael Schaufle, our family considers him a god sent when it comes to sick or injured animals. He will do everything in his power to try and get your beloved family member back home to you. He has come to our aid many times over the past 20-30 years, and given us a one of a kind veterinary experience. We consider the staff family, and look forward to seeing everyone again over the many more years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, the Nelson family.

I have been to a few vets in Richmond and I really appreciate the staff here. One year on thanksgiving, my dog was attacked by another dog and bit on the neck. We originally thought it was okay because she didn't really bleed but my dog had a lot of fur so we did not notice the severity of it. Later in the day, we noticed that my dog was in pain, and the vets at dear animal hospital gave me consulting on what to do on a holiday and answered his cell phone at 8pm which pretty much saved my dog. I was able to get an emergency appointment the next day. Really really thankful of them.

I just got a puppy and brought her to Richmond Animal Hospital where Dr. Schaufele gave her her first check up. He was amazing with her. He took his time going over some of the basics to keep her healthy and happy. At one point she fell asleep in his arms. I’m so grateful to have such a knowledgeable and caring vet for my little Lola. The office staff as well were exceptional. It’s such a relief having found the perfect vet.

The staff here are very caring and take the time to get to know you and your pet. Never felt like they were trying to rush us out to get to the next pet patient and never tried selling us anything extra. Dr. Chipperfield spent a lot of time trying to gain the trust of our very timid dog which we were delighted by.

I usually never write google reviews, but I just have to say this place is amazing! The people here are so easy to talk to and accepting. I always look forward to coming here with my puppy Coco. Even though it may not be my dogs favorite place to visit, I swear, the people here make it worth it for her. They're so friendly and loving towards animal, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. They will love ur animals as if it were their own!! Just had to put this out there!!

Brought in my senior long-haired stranger-shy cat for wash and trim. He's needed sedation in the past to get it done but was happily surprised to pick him up and find he didn't need it this time. Will definitely go back in a few months when he needs another trim. Drop-off, payment and pick-up handled smoothly by friendly staff.

Attention Management....we arrived at the scheduled time for our appointment on Tuesday and called from your parking lot to advise your receptionist that we had arrived. On her call back we were informed that they would come and get our dog. Just got my first puppy and thought I’d give this place a chance since I live really close. Dr. Chipperfield went beyond what I expected of her. She was amazing and answered every single question I had for her and I asked her quite a bit. She was enthusiastic and was happy to answer all of them. I just got a puppy and brought her to Richmond Animal Hospital where Dr. Schaufele gave her her first check up. He was amazing with her.
