We loved the clinic at our first couple visits. However, the receptionists’ attitude started to change. I am not ashamed to say that I think it is sometimes very expensive for medicines and treatments. When we were deciding between two types of medicines, the receptionist ladies started to laugh and mock at us because they think we are too poor to afford. Also other places charge $20 for consultation, this vet charges $70 and the doctor did not even come up with a clear answer. Very disappointing.

After a rather disappointing experience with a different vet in Richmond, the Steveston Vet was recommended to us by a friend. We had our first appointment for a check up and vaccinations for our dog today.
The clinic was very clean, the staff and doctor was very friendly and helpful. There was also no waiting time and the price for an exam and 3 shots was perfectly reasonable.
What I liked best was that the doctor made sure our dog was healthy and she properly gave him his vaccinations. However she did NOT AT ALL try to find something unnecessary to do just to charge us more. She was very professional and focused on our dog and his well-being, asking us questions and offering advice.
The other vet that we previously visited recommended and made us pay for stool exams, prostate exams and even tried to sign us up for teeth cleaning on our then 3 year old dog. At first I thought they were just thorough, now I know that they just tried to shoot up the price and none of these things were necessary on a perfectly healthy dog.
I recommend the Steveston vet and this is where we are going to go to from now on!

A few weeks ago, it was Saturday when we were visiting Richmond, B.C. from Oregon, my dog fell when he tried to get out of the vehicle. We noticed him could not walk properly right away, and thought he might break his leg or something like that. We were very worried about him and thought we should visit a vet. We searched the google and found this vet clinic has a very high rating, we drove to the office. The clinic receptionist and assistant Stephanie gave us a very warm welcome and we told our story. Though the clinic was fulled booked, Stephanie told us we could leave our dog at the clinic, and they would find time to check him. She might notice we were very worried, she eventually talked to Dr. Galloway at work and had her gave our dog a quick check to make us feel comfortable before we left our beloved dog there.
When we came back to pick up our dog, we got in the traffic and was late at the scheduled time, Dr. Galloway and Stephanie waited us so that they could explain what happened to our dog even though it was after the office hour. When we listened to Dr. Galloway, we felt she loves the pets with her whole heart and would provide any help whenever she could. She was patient with us and very knowledgeable, she explained what the issue our dog had and what we could do to improve. We just want to say thanks again and will rate this clinic 5 star.

Sophie, my 10 month old puppy needed bilateral patella surgery and Dr. Galloway came highly recommended by the Vancouver SPCA. The Hospital was very clean, absent of the smell that is so prevalent in other vet clinics. Dr. Galloway was very kind and explained everything to me before the surgery, about the surgery, and what to expect post-surgery. I found him super gentle with Sophie and wonderfully kind and uber-patient and very, very skilled. Sophie still has to have her stitches out, she is recovering so nicely. Dr. Galloway's staff are all very nice and understanding the stress that both parent and pet are experiencing when they visit the hospital. Thank you, Dr. Galloway for being there for our 4-legged kids......

Dr. Galloway and his staff at Steveston Veterinary Hospital gave our dog Minnie exceptional care for her ligament surgery. Dr. G has terrific bedside manner. In the initial consultation, he was able to provide a very clear description of the problem and the available treatments while making both Minnie and myself relaxed and confident. The staff showed great gentleness and concern for Minnie's comfort and peace of mind. There's a long healing process ahead, but we're more that satisfied that we made the right choice, and that she'll be much better off as a result of this surgery.

We loved the clinic at our first couple visits. However, the receptionists’ attitude started to change. I am not ashamed to say that I think it is sometimes very expensive for medicines and treatments. When we were deciding between two types of medicines, the receptionist ladies started to laugh and mock at us because they think we are too poor to afford. After a rather disappointing experience with a different vet in Richmond, the Steveston Vet was recommended to us by a friend. We had our first appointment for a check up and vaccinations for our dog today.

A few weeks ago, it was Saturday when we were visiting Richmond, B.C. from Oregon, my dog fell when he tried to get out of the vehicle. We noticed him could not walk properly right away, and thought he might break his leg or something like that. We were very worried about him and thought we should visit a vet. Thankfully my little dog Molly has been under the care for all of her life with Dr. Millar at the practice Dr. Millar is a wonderful vet and I cannot say more than when I hand the care of my most treasured possession my Molly to her I know she will always give my dog her absolute best care. Sophie, my 10 month old puppy needed bilateral patella surgery and Dr. Galloway came highly recommended by the Vancouver SPCA.
