We took our newly adopted VOKRA kitty to get checked out by Dr. Chan. I found his approach to be very practical, honest and ethical. He comes across more like an actual medical professional who sincerely cares about animals, rather some other Veterinarians who clearly are only interested in soaking you for as much money as possible. The advice he gives is realistic, smart and thoughtful. My only qualm is that he seems so passionate about his work that he talks quite a lot and doesn't always let you get a word in edgewise, lol.... Brandon has been caring for my K9 kids since birth and I wouldn't have it any other way....He has a way with the k9 kids and his attention to detail is second to non. It's good and it's bad for Brandon as my kids live to 15+ in age so the emotion he feels when one passes away as if it were his own. Dr Chan still takes time to review emails, pictures, bloodwork, and go over Raezers medications with me. I have nothing bad to say about Dr Chan and his team because in all the years my family and I have been very pleased with the services provided and we will continue to refer friends and family if their pets need care, there is no better veterinarian around. I highly recommend Dr. Chan. He is extremely knowledgable and does his research. Our Pug has seizures and was suffering from side effects from medication we had been prescribed previously. Under Dr. Chan's care she has improved and her quality of life been enhanced dramatically. He doesn't push tests and expensive procedures like many vets, and he was very upfront and proactive in helping us find many options to manage Olive's chronic condition. We have been taking our VOKRA cats there since we adopted them. Dr. Chan always takes the time to explain everything he is doing. He also is realistic with expected outcomes and won't try and automatically go for high cost diagnostics unless he feels that it is really necessary. I would highly recommend Dr. Chan and the lovely staff at this clinic. Our little dog was found chewing on a rat poison box, and we didn't know if he had ingested any. My own vet said she was too busy to see him! So my friend phoned Dr. Chan's office and they saw him asap. He had the best of care with compassionate helpful staff. We decided to switch from our vet in Vancouver (due to a bad experience) and take the one-hour drive from Vancouver to see Dr. Chan at BC Animal Hospital. We had an excellent first visit for the wellness exam. And then Casie recently had her spay surgery done last week, who is recovering very well. Dr Chan and Noreen has both been incredibly patient in answering all questions and concerns that crossed my mind. Despite it being a little far, I have already recommended this clinic to a couple friends who also have Yorkies because I feel that this clinic is very honest on treatments, compassionate about animals, and just truly care! Dr Chan is a fantastic vet with a very compassionate nature. If he doesn't understand what's going on he's always willing to do the research to resolve it. He was even able to tackle a problem with one of my ducks! Healed her and she never had the issue again. Now that's what I call going the distance! This is a small, lovely, family vet clinic owned and operated by Dr. Chan and his wife, Noreen.  Both are incredibly welcoming, and passionate about helping animals.  If I could give them 6 stars, I would.  Every time I need to go down, whether for simple shots, or if my dog is sick/hurt, they would take the time to explain everything thoroughly to me, and I ask a lot of questions!Another thing I'd like to add is that I live in East Vancouver, so it's a pretty far drive to get there, but there's no other vet clinic I'd trust!  I always felt that they've been up front with me on costs and everything else.  If anyone is in the Surrey or Cloverdale area, I suggest you give them a try. Even spent his own time to research for my baby's tumor cancer. Sometimes I just call him to ask questions, he never reply to me the next day.
