I would like to state to the negative comment below about the dr screeming at the client. First of all don’t put it all on the doctor because you were not in the room and could not hear what was being said or done. The client you are referring too brought an animal in with a huge wound. After surgery the dog began to irratacaly bite it’s self and the dr intervened to save the dog from self harm. During This time the dog attacked the doctor causing him to have injury to his hands and need stitches. This owner was screaming at the doctor because she was upset the dog had bit and she acted irrational even tho doctor didn’t take action towards her or the dog. He simply was explaining what occurred. No owner should grab or touch the doctor at any time out of anger! So please don’t slander the doctor or clinic without correct information. You are more then welcome to go elsewhere for treatment. Read Less

I wish I could select 0 stars.. My experience was so awful I didn’t even let them take a look at my dog. The first person we spoke with was the receptionist who was very rude and who made us feel very unwelcome. First thing they did was weigh him then she told us we could head into the room and wait for the vet in there. All of the sudden we hear shouting. Like I’m talking shouting... a lady is yelling at the veterinarian in the room next to us. All we heard was that it was a service dog and they didn’t follow her instructions and they could’ve prevented something. We didn’t catch everything we just heard her scream at him and how angry she was. Now I’m in customer service... I get angry customers from time to time, but what happened next I couldn’t believe. The vet starts yelling back at her and yells even louder.. All I could hear him say was he didn’t do anything and she shouldn’t be yelling at him. I looked over at my boyfriend and we got up and left. I don’t care how angry a customer makes you, you are never allowed to yell at someone like that. dr.om was away and they had another vet look at my cat, he pushed and pushed to get me to say yes to a rabbies vaccine for my 100% indoor cat, he administered it in the wrong area (between shoulders, protocal has been back right leg since 2010) and she had an adverse reaction and a hard growing lump at the vaccine site. they do not use proper vaccines or proper protocol, do your animal a favour and find a better vet. My partner and I are looking to adopt a puppy and discovered from the breeder all the puppies from the litter we were interested in had something called an open fontanel (where the skulls plates are not completely joined leaving a open vulnerable spot on a puppies head). We didn't know much on the matter so after calling multiple; and I mean MULTIPLE vets, we finally discovered an answer from Cloverdale veterinary hospital. Every other veterinary clinic wouldn't even answer our questions without asking us to book an appointment or have the vet see the puppy itself (we haven't even bought the puppy so how are we going to do that). Not only did the super sweet receptionist take the time to listen to our question, she didn't even ask to see if we had been to her clinic before(my partner has but it's nice to know the clinic cares more about the well being of animals rather than getting a new client), and she literally went to go ask the veterinarian our question while he was in the middle of surgery. It was such a relief after chasing a simple question around all day one that even MY OWN veterinarian couldn't be bothered to answer. They should give that girl a raise. this vet is the best vet you could ever go to. they dont try to run you down with a million different costs and take every step necessary to diagnose your pet. i have been taking my dogs here for years and drive all the way from east maple ridge just to go there. would highly recommend them to anyone i know. all staff are so kind and exceptional. This vet was recommended to me by a Cloverdale local. I brought my cat here for shots and to be spayed after my sister passed away and I inherited the cat from her. Turned out she was pregnant so the surgery was far more extensive and would have been way more costly than a normal spay. The vet heard about my situation and mitigated the costs significantly for me. I was very impressed with everything this clinic has done. :) Read Less

Thank you to Dr. Om and his staff for taking such good care of our dogs over many years. Dr. Om saved our Mickey's life by removing a cancerous tumour. He recently removed a mammary tumour from our dog Nelly. Dr. Om and his staff treat us like family, not clients. This practise has always been fair and compassionate. Avoid this place, Dr Om and all his staff are a bunch of idiots. Botched one of my dogs euthanasia so bad I had to literally watch my dog suffering in horror and pain while he fucked up the injection. Our other dogs surgery was completely fucked up, confirmed with 2 other vets this was absolutely not needed and was the wrong surgery for her issue. When we picked her up she was laying on the floor covered in blood and feces and next to a dead cat laying on the floor. Not only did we find out we were charged double the cost it should have, that particular surgery should have required two days of in vet aftercare. I am now seriously considering contacting a lawyer and charging this guy with malpractice. Read Less

We've had great experiences with this clinic. Their prices are very reasonable for both regular visits (like shots, etc) and specialty visits. We recently had to make an emergency trip there for our cat and they were able to look at him and do the necessary surgery the same day, without charging an arm and a leg. Read Less

My experience with Dr. Ohm over the last 7 years of treating our 2 Shih Tzu is that Dr. Ohm and all his staff are most concerned with our pet's health first and with finding economical solutions second. I have always been very pleased with his veterinary skills and his advice. They have always listened to our concerns and observations before examining our pets. When I raised concerns about my dog's condition as he is an older dog, I was told that he cannot tell me anything until I pay $175 for a blood test. He refused to even listen to my concerns and kept emphasizing that I need to pay more for a blood test to get more information about my dog's health. Then he proceeded to yell at me when I asked him some questions about my dog's medical conditions. I left the hospital feeling very upset and angry about how he handled the examination. I love Dr. Om.  Yesterday we had to put our beloved dog down.  We were devastated.  He was a gentle caring man. While we were in the room crying... There was 4 of us.  He suddenly started to cry remembering his own dog.   In that moment I had such compassion for him. Knowing this was the ugly part of his job.  Such a vulnerable situation.  Such a beautiful Dr.....we will be back. We have brought our other dog there for care. I've been trying out different vets in my area (north surrey) and in Vancouver and none of them was as fair, honest, efficient and friendly as the vet and his staff at Cloverdale animal hospital.I got a recommendation from a friend about this clinic and although it's about 30min away from my house (and I've got numerous vets much much closer to my house) - I decided to try that vet.My dog is 4 and had a wart and a bump growing on his side and the vet recommended to remove them both.I got a very very reasonable quote right on the spot with no hidden fees and we even managed to schedule the surgery for the same day.The vet and his staff were unbelievably friendly, accommodating and knowledgable and they answered with patience all my questions and showed lots of compassion and care towards my pup.All was done that day, my pup is now healing and i cannot be more grateful to the vet and his staff for the amazing care and generally a great business practice.I would absolutely recommend anyone to visit this clinic if needed even if it's not that close to where you live - it's worth to deal with an honest and carrying vet especially when taking care of a beloved pet.Great job!
