Dr. Schild saw our beloved Budgie for the 2nd time in as many years. Through assessing and successfully treating our little girl's crop infection, in the past, to sadly telling us yesterday that she now had an abdominal tumour, with no hope of removing it successfully, Dr. Schild was compassionate, caring, and thorough with her explanations. Her staff is amazing, and they were so gentle with us as we said goodbye to our beautiful Peepers. We would not hesitate to recommend this amazing Avian Vet. Brought my sick bird in last month to see a doctor as she appeared to be ill. She saw Dr. Doslov, someone who didnt appear to have the knowledge to assess a sick budgie. She started off by telling me my bird looked normal during her physical examination. Later she put the bird back in her cage and started recommending all sorts of pricy examinations and medication. At this point she started telling me that the bird may be distressed and possibly suffering from head trauma. I was confused as the details of the medication for my budgie begun being discussed (as I was just told my bird appeared normal). She also recommended some tests that would potentially determine if anything else was wrong with my bird but since the doctor seemed super confident in the medications I opted out of the additional $300 worth of tests (which would take a few days to process aswell). The clinic would be closed sunday and the results wouldn't be in till monday. At this point I left the clinic slightly less worried that the budgie would be okay as the doctor didn't refer us to the ER. Well, I was wrong...my budgie died 2 days after being assessed by Dr. Doslov. Not only was I furious to know that this doctor not only incorrectly assessed the severity of my birds illness, but a week later I was also promised a call back from the manager so I could further discuss my experience...a month later that phone call is yet to come. For those who plan on ever taking your birds here, I would advise to strongly consider other specialty avian vets as this place definitely didn't seem to have the appropriate resources . Read Less

Hands down, the best animal hospital I have ever been to. Dr. Schild is so compassionate and kind, the staff follow up frequently, and I have always been treated with absolute respect and understanding. I love bringing my bird Chiko here! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming to both of us :) It’s a nice atmosphere to walk into! My poor girl got hit by a car. They took her in right away and gave her the care she needed. My dog has bad anxiety as it is and the staff made sure to keep her happy and as calm as possible. I could see they really did care and did their best to help her. She is recovering and will be ok. I can't thank everyone who helped enough for helping me and my baby in our time of need. About a week ago I panicked about my budgie being sick and decided to take her to the vet. I had to decide between going to Kennedy heights or King George. While King George appeared to be more in my price range, I decided on going to Kennedy Heights, and I'm really happy I did! They seemed more focused on birds there than King George, and treated my feathered baby with so much care, like taking breaks so she could calm down and handling her carefully, despite her holding the world record for wiggliest bird. And they treated me, the panicked bird owner, with equal care! They were never pushy and I never got the impression that they just wanted my money, and were super patient with me when I took ages to decide if I wanted to go ahead with the test I got done. When I called to make an appointment they were helpful and ready to take me in that day, and have called back twice asking if the medication is going well and saying I can call any time if I have any questions. Just great people! If I had one complaint it would be how expensive it is (I spent around ten times as much on the physical exam/test/medicine than I did when I bought my bird!), but I can't complain that much as I believe I got my money's worth with such a caring place! I have been a client here since 1997, when my dog was hit by a car. I have never felt the need to look for another vet. They feel the same way about my fur and feather babies as I do, and I never worry when they have to stay for any length of time. In the past I had very bad luck with vets, some I'm sure learned their anatomy off a butcher's chart. But this clinic and the people in it are the best. And my chickies agree. Read Less

Took my rabbit here a few weeks ago, he was suffering from some pretty bad tummy issues. Got an appointment the same day I called in. No wait time when we got there, they gave him a thorough check and gave him a few shots and some take home medication. We were there past closing time, so thank you to the staff for all your help! My little man has made a full recovery. Reccomend this clinic if you have small or exotic pets. I used to take my pet mice here a few years ago lol. Read Less

Take your pet anywhere but here. They make way too many mistakes and for some reason my negative reviews keep being deleted! I will keep posting to let people know how terrible this clinic is. They gave him his rabies shot, asked me to come in a few months later for another shot, after I brought him home I find out they gave him another rabies shot. 2 rabies shots in one year. When I confronted them and told them they screwed up they said that the next time I bring my dog in for annual shots I won't have to pay for the rabies shot. March rolled around and I tried to make another appointment for dental cleansing, once again I was told they wouldn't do it because of his cough. Turns out my dog has a collapsed trachea.  April rolls around and his cough still hasn't cleared up. I called to make a dental appointment for July (I'll be off work and I can take him in, he still has a cough). I was informed today that I was no longer allowed to take my dog to this clinic. They said they would pass my file on to a new clinic. How rude and so unprofessional. Not only do they screw up often, but they have no courtesy, nor do they know how to handle upset customers. I've been coming to Kennedy Heights animal hospital for over 4 years now and they have definitely earned my trust and respect. I have never had a bad experience and I leave happy everytime. Never felt like I've been overcharged or that my dogs well being is not their first priority. All the girls up front and doctors in the back have gone out of there way everytime I have been there and i could not be happier with them all. The friday staff are awesome!!! Read Less

I brought my almost 16 year old black lab in to be euthanized for obvious reasons almost 1month ago and they made me feel that it was doing this to soon.....they proceeded to ( "give me the option" ) Talk me into blood tests, xrays change of food, pain killers and vitamins and i left with my dog and a $700 debt....its now almost a month later and my dog is now suffering and they offered to wave the $60 examination fee and a slight discount on euthanasia. Im disgusted at how they operate and find it ridiculous that the AAHA has them representing there name. Read Less

Had an emergency with my dog today - got here randomly because it was the closest one and the vet was already there.The staff and the vet took care of my dog  quickly, efficiently and professionally. All while explaining what is being done and getting my approval before making further tests.This is a fantastic hospital, got an x-Ray right there and they performed the blood test right there too.I will de finely be coming back for regular shots as well as this was a horrifying experience for me but the staff and the vet were so comforting, calm and professional that I feel confident recommending this place to any other pet owner.5 stars indeed. From the booking of the appointment over the phone to the visit, everyone there actually seemed to care about Ellie's well being. Caring, friendly staff and good quality care for my pets has kept me coming back for almost 10yrs.  They are amazing.  The dr's always take the time to answer all of my questions and no matter how busy they are I always feel they are giving me their full attention. I prefer some of the vets more than the others so I call in advance to find out who's working but all of them seem to know what they're doing in my experiences here.  Not the cheapest place by any means but I love my pets and want the best for them so I don't take them to those other places.  Not all vet clinics are the same and this place has proved to me over and over again that they care for my pets properly. This is the best place to bring your beloved pets.  The staff are consistently friendly and genuinly love animals.  This place not only cares for cats and dogs, but they are also very knowledgeable about exotic pets from parrots, hedgehogs, and even sugar gliders.I wouldn't take my pet anywhere else.
