The worst clinic you could take your pet to.These people had their licence suspended a few years ago, and are now being investigated by the College of Veterinarians again for our complaint.Check out the entire reviews, some are rather disgusting.An owners deceased German Sheppard was tossed into their dumpster at the rear of their premise.Another involves an allegation that in return for treating their special pet the Veterinarian wanted sexual favours as a trade off.If you value your pet, AVOID this clinic. I have been bringing my rescue dogs here for years they are very accommodating really treat my babies as they would their own they understand our pets are our family. I come all the way from Blaine Washington to have my animals cared for here.Both Dr Dhaliwal and Dr Peter very professionals and honest. We highly recommended Dr Harpreet Dhaliwal . He is so impressionable, caring , available any time of the day and will try everything to get your pet back to normal . If he feels that he can't do any more he will get or suggest a specialist for you .Prices are reasonable , and the hospital is open 24/7 . I would suggest calling first before you take your pet in , as they can be busy in the waiting area and the care rooms . I am so glad to have Dr. Peter and his staff back again. He has always been good with our pets, available 24/7, and reasonably priced, compared to most other Clinics in the area. When he quotes you a price, he honors it, and does not inflate the bill with extra costs that are not needed. Most people can not afford to pay thousands of dollars to heal their pets when they get sick, and pet insurance, is not the answer, as they raise their premiums once a claim is made. If you want good old fashion caring service for your pets, at prices you can afford, this is the Clinic to go to. Read Less

They took our money for the cremation of our Chow Chow, did not provide us with a proper invoice. We only received the credit card receipt that described the amount paid. The point I am making is it could have been for dog food and not proof of cremation. We had asked for blood to be drawn as we wanted to pay and test it for toxicity. My niece is a Dr. Vet at the Singapore Zoo and said the blood could be drawn from our Chow Chow for up to 10 hours. After her passing we were at hour five hours into the timeline for drawing a blood sample for toxic screening. A beautiful "Pooch" that was always dearly loved with a wonderful disposition and a rascal. We are left with no proof of how our special family member was disposed of, or a simple vial of blood. AVOID THESE PEOPLE ...... if you truly love your special family member. ps: It seems someone else in the past few months had their German Shepard not cremated by reading the review but cruely tossed into a dumpster for disposal. Their Review: 7 months ago- OUR BEAUTIFUL GERMAN SHEPHERD is DEAD! even though we asked for cremation. . I had to call to find out they threw him away. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE. It is unsafe, unsanitary, and will scare your pet. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. I promise they do NOT care about your animal. I brought my cat here not realizing what I was getting her into. She was acting unusual and peeing outside her litter box so the vet said he needed to do one test, which lead to another and some more because he supposedly couldn't figure it out. Then he said they need to keep her for a week to monitor her. Hesitantly, my sister and I said okay thinking this vet knew what he was doing. When we came to visit her the next day, she was laying in her own pee, terrified, and clearly in more pain then when we left. That was the last straw. We ended up paying $1,200 running tests on her before we finally decided this place was hell. The other animals were crying and were clearly not cared for. The vets behavior towards the animals is ridiculous, he doesn't seem to be fond of animals at all. We took her to a different hospital which was 100x better, unfortunately we found out she had cancer and according to them, the vet at the previous hospital should've known she had cancer after all the tests we had done. I feel so guilty for allowing my cat to spend that much time at this hell hole. I am however thankful she was able to spend her last days in the care of her new hospital where they showed us how to care for her at home so she wouldn't need to be hospitalized. there was this amazing, knowledgable, compassionate persian or iranian Dr. that wrkd there, but then lft to become a surgeon or something. Anyway, he was an amazing Dr.! Too bad he's gone. The rest are so-so but I am personally not too fond of any of the vets. Frnt desk staff are sweet. I concur it's not a spotless clinic, u got pay seperate costs for tests and dictation etc., however the injection prices and revolution etc., are very reasonable conpared to other vets. Read Less

I have gone to this very quite a few times. I even have put one of my dogs down here quite a few years ago. The vet who was putting my dog down showed no compassion at all. Recently I took my dog here after him having issues with his back leg. They told me it would cost a certain amount. When I go to pick him up they added over $150 in charges for things that came up when they did the xray. They also added another $50 because they can not read xrays there and had to send it out to someone else. They then told me my dogs leg was broken and the surgery would cost over $1500. I wanted to see the report in from where they sent the xray. They did not want to give it to me. When I finally got the report over 5 days later, it said my had swelling in his leg. Took my dog here at 10pm after he was acting extremely weird (shaking & peeing uncontrollably, unable to walk straight, falling). The doctor took one look at him and said that he was leaving for the night and there would be a nurse over night to look after him until the morning but DID NOT bother to assess him or even tell us what he thought could be wrong. He then started listing off all the costs for the overnight stay. At this point my dogs' symptoms had worsened and I was extremely scared as he was clearly in serious condition. I quickly searched for the next closest animal hopsital and told the doctor I was leaving. He looked at my dog and did not even care and said "goodluck". At the other clinic, they immediately took him in and put him on IV. He had ingested something toxic on his walk earlier that night and needed charcoal and his stomach pumped along with other medication. Moral of story, DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. If you love your pet at all, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE! This practice should be shut down. They are super unsanitary, unprofessional and the vet seems to know nothing about animal health. I brought my baby kitten here for her first checkup, shots and deworming. The doctor had no sympathy towards her, didn’t even thoroughly do a check up on her and just gave her a shot and left. I was really worried about my baby’s health and had many questions but the vet didn’t even TRY to answer my questions. I even brought up points that indicated that my cat was sick but he completely disregarded them and asked for money. This place doesn’t love animals and only cares about your money. I brought my sick cat here and was concerned he needed immediate help they took my cat for observation? I came back late that night and there was a man there claiming to be the brother of a male veterinarian I thought I would stick around ask questions when he told me he was only helping out he let me into the back where my cat was I assume he was caring for the animals feeding them only god knows what. Multiple animals had seizures while I was there I'll be honest this man admitted he had no skills or education relating to the care of animals and there was no one there that could do anything to help he was the only one there and didn't seem phased by the fact this was happening and never called for help then my cat had a seizure it all seemed like to much of a coincidence all these animals were having similar symptoms at the same time. I cannot speak highly enough about this place. My little pup required emergency surgery late at night and they took great care of her. The staff was fantastic and took me through things step by step and ensured I knew what was going on at all times. As a bonus, the price was really affordable. I strongly recommend this place if your pet needs emergency care. The staff even remembered my name on the subsequent visits, a rarity in today's world. Read Less

They were so insincere with us, he ripped us off told us that my dog needed a surgery. We were scared my dog would pass so he convinced us to get surgery. There were miscommunications within the workers. The receptionist told us to come back in 3 weeks to get the stitches removed but when we got there the vet told us that he had dissolvable stitches. By this time we were so fed up that we took our dog to another vet to get checked, the vet told us that we didn't need the surgery done he would've survived. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I had a horrible experience there. The place is dirty the equipment they use is not cleaned well and they are also very rude. My poor chihuahua had to experience that place. They diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis, made him stay over night.. Kept a muzzle on the poor boy. The tubes they use are disgusting, all the dogs are just laying in their own crap. My dog did not have pancreatitis and they charged me $500.. The lady at the counter would not let me talk and kept interrupting they kept trying to keep him for an extra night trying to diagnose him with more things.. I had to demand my dog back and just take him and pay up the $500 eventually.. This place makes me so angry I cannot even gather my thoughts. Read Less

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! EVER! This is literally the worst clinic in the lower mainland. Awful, rude staff members. Horrible vets as well. Wouldn't give straight answers, kept telling us to come get our dog, then would cancel last minute and say oh no one more day and would make excuses and get different answers from both veterinarians. One would say my girl was still on IV and the other would say no she hasn't been on IV for days she can go home...this happened for a week straight before i finally snapped and went in and got my dog! They may have cheaper prices, but good care comes at a cost. Pay a reputable veterinarian for your pets medical needs. Do not go to this sham of an establishment that should be closed down. After the absolute nightmare I experienced with them, I will never let anyone I know go here - nor will I ever again either. I have made reports to the BBB, and the veterinary association of BC. This clinic should not be in operation. They have poor medical practices, a dirty establishment and have no care or respect for animals. Just the dollar value they can make off you. DO NOT GO HERE! Overall had as good an experience as possible for an emergency situation. The vet was a little bit gruff at first but for what he lacked in customer service skills he made up for in knowledge. You just have to make sure you ask questions. The assistants were very kind with me and my dog they allowed me to come visit her when I needed to. The admin staff made life super easy for my pet insurance. They are overall a great but not quite five stars since they could have kept the place tidier. Read Less

Dear Facebook friends and fellow pet owners, today I was to take my dog in to get spay. Our appointment was for 10 o'clock, when we called in to make an appointment no one told us she had to have an empty stomach, they said just bring her at 10. Then we were told we'd have to wait till 3 pm and I could pick her up around 8 or just in the morning. They kept pushing me to pick her up tomorrow morning but I refused. They finally said it was okay and she can go home at 8 and to just call at 6 pm to see how things are going. I phoned them at 6 pm to see how things were, they told me well but to pick her up at 9 pm. I asked how the surgery went and they told me the doctor is currently doing it. I received a call an hour later telling me that the doctor would like to speak with me. Right away I thought something horrible had happened. He told me they just feed her and they won't be able to do the surgery. They told me to pick her up tomorrow. I refused and lost it on him telling him about all the bs they been telling me. I told him I'm on my way to pick her up and will never bring my dog back. He said okay that's fine. I picked up my dog and no one apologized to me or took responsibility. Yeah this place is a joke. I know it's rare to find a vet that will help with a payment plan but was suggested to try before having to surrender my dog because he was peeing blood and now has a blockage and his bladder may rupture over night. Who ever the lady was that answered should be fired. Not a single ounce of compassion in her voice as I'm crying my eyes out. In the middle of me explaining to her what's wrong she cuts me of and says how much money you have now. While I'm still crying I explain to her everything and cuts me off again and says we don't do payment plans. She was extremely rude and not an ounce of compassion in her voice at all. Bought a puppy from a girl who works here. We were greatly lied to about our puppy from her "clean bill of health" that took a month to get her better to being told she was a german shepherd lab cross and at six months only being 30 pounds they are running a puppy mill sceme out of this place and the vet did not lool after these dogs or even weigh them as the paperwork said they were 5 pounds and at our vet she was 3. Wouldn't trust my dog to them again. Newton Animal Hospital is Eons ahead in knowledge, service, cleanliness, and care for my dog. Dr. Pavitar wounded the inside of my dog's ear cleaning it out with a metal scraper, and made her yelp and cry. Two weeks later she still has a scape deep inside her ear canal that bothers her. I got my cat 4 years ago from a rescue center. He became ill so I phoned the center and they referred me Dr. Pete atSurrey Animal hospital. He was diagnosed with Pancreatitis which is very serious and often fatal. Dr. Pete wasted no time diagnosing him and giving the proper treatment. He then prescribeda proper diet. I was told by the center that my cat would need steroid shots for his eyes but Dr. Pete gave him an antihistamine that cleared them up. All this was done with great compassion. My cat goes in every six months for his allergy shot and we are always greeted with warm smiles and an extremely low bill! Thank you Dr. Pete and thank you to your wonderful staff. Read Less

Dr.Peter and Ricky @ Surrey Animal Hospital Dr Peter and Ricky have helped my animals for the last 13 years. They do what I ask,and never had a problem that couldn't be resolved.They are kind and know what they are doing. I'ts nice to be able to call, and get advice and pick up things I need without having to bring the pet. They trust me, and I trust them. I have to say that everyone has a right to their own opinion and that owning an animal can be expensive when there are health issue. Dr. Peter and his staff were all very friendly, informative, understanding and Profesional with me. I felt that they were more worried about helping my dog then getting paid. I didn't have to pay in full in order to take your dog home and Dr. Peter went out for his way to call me 2 days after surgery to check on my dog. That is after one of his staff called the day after surgery to see how she was doing and I told her she was fine. He also gave me his cell number and said I could call any time if anything changes and he gave me a number for society to help with the costs not that they were astronomical or anything. But I'm a single working mom with 1 income and it can be hard to come up with a lump sum of money.Read Less

Staff are Careless Unprofessional Feckless. Took my 16 year old dog here to have a perineal mass removed deemed the biggest threat to his health = cancer. Without my consent or knowledge performed a completely unrelated surgery charged me for it and when confronted with the issue never once did I receive an explanation but lame excuses. The "doctor" (Dr Mon?) was rude unprofessional and deflected stating "come back in a few weeks if you want the other surgery done." My dog is almost 17. Every surgery could be his last. After tearfully imploring me to give them the chance to do the correct surgery the manager tearfully stated she cared about my dog like a child but never once did she, the "doctors" or front desk staff follow up with a call post surgery (going on 5 days now) despite the negligence. Bed side manner is tantamount to treating my pet like a piece of meat. I am now paying another vet to correct the mess they have caused, have filed a complaint with the CVBC BBB and will take them to small claims court for costs associated with cleaning up the mess. The CVBC states, "Veterinarians are required to meet the standard of care, skill, knowledge and conduct expected of a competent and ethical professional in every aspect of the handling of a patient. They are also required to provide clients with a complete and understandable explanation of the treatment recommended and seek client consent for the treatment... They fall tragically short of all these expectations. My dog is traumatized and I intend to do everything I can to have their licence revoked. Ironically, they post favorable reviews here but vetratingz is far more accurate with a score of 2.2 / 5 out of 67 reviews and very similar experiences as mine. Too many awful details of the experience to list here and clients may be lured by lower prices but DON'T EVER trust these people with your pet. I grew up on a farm and have experienced great care by many vets. These people are only interested in your money and do not deserve to care for your pet. It appears many have had similar experiences and I would encourage all to speak out and hold them accountable.Read Less

I've got mixed feelings about this vet clinic/animal hospital; the staff was impersonal and only provided information when I really pressed them for it, but they're open overnight and reasonably priced. My little Papillion broke her leg at night when my regular vet was closed. We rushed piper here very frantically, Dr "V" was great. We got ahold of our regular vet so we were more comfortable picking her back up that night and taking her to him but when we arrived Dr "V" already had her x-rays done and her leg in a splint and an IV started. When I picked her up she didn't even yelp in pain. She seemed very comfortable. I would recommend Dr V to anyone. Read Less

June 30th 2015. 5 Star Service We brought our intact 9.5 yr old male dog in and had a checkup and xrays on his abodomen, chest, shoulder and paw. We came from Kamloops, had superb service, in an efficient manner and Dr. Peter Bajwa was tremendously professional and kind to my dog and us. We were so worried about cancer and got the answers immediately. The price for the visit and xrays were extremely cheaper than any other clinic. 3 dogs from Kamloops were neutered for a price that cost 1/3 of 1 neutering. Thank you very much for your service. After visiting two different vet offices and leaving hopeless with $600 less in my wallet I still had a very very sick puppy. At the verge of dying in my arms, I decided to take her to this place. It was two blocks away from home and maybe just maybe they might help save her. She was tested positive for parvo. A puppies worse nightmare. They provided her with IV fluids, medication, 24hr monitoring in an isolated area and they tolerated a crazy furmom calling and visiting daily. They are very reasonably priced and affordable compared to the other vets that were not helpful. Honestly, Dr. Abby and all of the staff here are angels. My puppy is happy, healthy and ALIVE. I can't express how thankful I am for this place. From now on this is where I'll take my animals. Read Less

Horrendous. This is a profit mill with complete disregard for the best interest of your pet. They see your pet as a dollar sign and will rely on your love for your pet to take advantage. Or at least do your research before you enter this place so you can call their bluff. The vet here told me my dog needed surgery when she didn't (in complete health) he told me my German shepherd needed blood test just to tell me he has arthritis and charged me $300. He wanted $1600 to do surgery on my dogs joints... which I said no to, changed her diet and she is find again. He is the devil. This place should be shut down. Read Less

Horrible service, rude people and staff. Over charged us for a crop , told us the dog was sick the first time when we went in made us spend $200 on meds we turned out NOT needing, then had to go back for the crop at a later date and charged us more cause the dog was 2 weeks older. said they used laser an charged us for it over $500 then found out they never used a laser and lied about it. Got a better quality crop at another vet on our other dogs for half the price and they turned out even better and healed faster then the one at surrey animal hospital. Read Less
