He killed our dog. My dog was hit by a car and was in distress. He probably had a broken rib that collapsed his lung- a dangerous but viable emergency situation. We called the closest vet and told them the situation and asked if they were equipped to handle the situation. They said yes, but they were lying. Either that or the guy had no clue. We went there and he should have given artificial respiration with a handheld ventilator, but either he did not have one or he had no idea. He instead inserted an IV needle and injected saline and put on an oxygen face mask- which was totally the wrong treatment- the problem was our dog's lung was punctured. Our dog slowly died in front of our eyes and only later, after we asked a veterinary surgeon at the animal specialist clinic that he told us that the proper treatment would have been to maintain respiration using a handheld device and to re-establish the seal between the lung and the membrane around it by draining with a large syringe. Instead we were given a massive bill for oxygen use and IV. This was really a devastating loss for us, especially knowing that our dog could easily have been saved if we had brought him to a knowledgeable vet. This clinic is guilty not just because of negligence or lack of knowledgeability, but because this fellow took our case knowing that he either did not have the knowledge to deal with it, and/or did not have the equipment. He should have referred us to a clinic that was able to handle the case. Instead he probably only saw this as a business opportunity to swindle a family in need. Read Less
