Overpriced as all the veterinary clinics in Vernon are. I wish something could be done about veterinary costs. However, staff is always very helpful and friendly. They have helped with follow up information on the telephone and texting. I have found the 2 vets I've been to, considerate of high costs and sensitive to this. It would be nice if there were some lower cost vets in Vernon to help those who aren't millionaires but still adore their beloved pets. However, I find the setting attractive here and clean and the people caring. Read Less

Vernon vet clinic has been fabulous. We  have 3 dogs, one being kinda special needs. Dr. David Leminski has been fabulous with our collie husky who has come a long way. If there was a way to give a lower rating then one star I would. I am absolutely appalled at how my cat was mistreated. While the vet was very attentive, kind and thoughtful the service at this clinic was just atrocious! When I went to pick up my kitten who had gone in to be spade she was covered in her own urine shaking and mortified. When I brought this to their attention they simply asked if I'd like some paper towel. I then asked why there was no take home sheet to which she replied "oh that's weird". Confused and extremely upset I then asked kindly if I should purchase a cone as I was worried she may rip out her own stitches. Their response to this was "well is she a licker?" She then followed with "her IV may still be in her arm so you might have to pull that out later." My cat is now recovering ok but as you can imagine we are both very stressed after such an awful experience. If you care about your animal at all you may think twice before visiting this clinic! ...and in response to their reply below: While I appreciate your response it does not change the fact that I was not given a form with instructions of how to care for her when she returned home. I was told there "may" be an IV left in her arm which I'd have to remove myself. Most of my questions and concerns were answered extremely unprofessionally and I now must take her to her vet Yaletown Pet Hospital as soon as we return to Vancouver for a thorough check up as I'm not confident she is in fact ok after this procedure. Bella is well cared for at home ..her ear mites as the vet and I had agreed upon and concluded were most likely from when she had been rescued from Armstrong. I left your clinic crying yesterday and this has been a traumatic experience for Bella.Read Less

Thank you to Vernon Veterinary for providing compassionate service to all of our pets. We lost our four legged friend, Rio, today but appreciate the extra year we had with her after receiving an honest opinion from Dr. Latwat. We could have easily spent thousands on tests and surgeries but chose instead to give our friend a year of love and adventure. Read Less

Absolutely terrible .. called around to get my dog fixed . I received quotes from 3 different places . This clinic originally quoted me 230 dollars plus an extra 165 to staple my dogs stomach. That is 395 dollars last I checked . Once I agreed and made the appointment drove in to the clinic day of from out of town where I live . The new quote came up and it was over 100 dollars more . Without me getting anything done yet . At this point I have come all this way made the appointment etc . So frustrated I agreed . They promised that was them just being honest and giving me a quote with no hidden fees. The end of the day I came to get my dog and the new quote was again 100 dollars more !! 600 dollars I ended up having to pay for them to give me my pup back! Absolutely terrible I will never go back here . Please don't fall for the friendly attitude this clinic doesn't stand by anything but how to line their pocket book .Read Less

As part of moving to Canada from England one of our big concerns was finding a quality vet for our companions. Due to a chance meeting whilst on a walk we were recommended to this practice. From the initial conversation booking our first visit, then the greeting when we walked in and through the consultation the service was so professional, informative and friendly. The vet even took the time to go into detail about an existing condition to make sure we fully understood it. It really came across that the main priority was the welfare of the pet, not as with our previous vets which was "what can I sell them today" The level of care was shown when we walked through the door. The people on reception knew our names without asking. To be fair there aren't many people with two Greyhounds so it wasn't too difficult but it shows how thorough they are. We have been blown away by these wonderful people. Our only issue is that we can't give them 10 stars as they are that good.Read Less

Brought my kitten in for a neutering and while discussing a strange situation with my 6yo male the night before the Doc figured it may be urine crystal formations. Rushed him down to get a test done and it was confirmed. Very impressed with the quick action and procedure done in the same day to ensure my boy didn't get a blockage. He's good as new and the kitten came home same day as well. Wouldn't even know he's had any surgery done at all. Thanks again for all your help and catching a situation before it became dire! Your "office manager" is severely lacking compassion and professionalism. This clinic took my file for a dog registered in my name and transferred the file WITHOUT my consent during a domestic dispute. They assisted in transferring legal information on my pure bred microchipped dog all because they knew the family of my abusive ex. When I spoke with Eileen (not 100% on how to spell her name) she was rude, lied, refused to give me the owners information so I could speak to someone about these issues further. I would not suggest leaving any of your original paperwork with this vet for safe keeping in your pets file because apparently anyone can come take that information without your consent even when it's someone who has a proven track record of tormenting you or your family. I've had other pets taken care of here as well and the waits have always been lengthy, and scheduled appointments feel rushed. Otherwise the vets seem knowledgeable. It's just too bad they don't take care of you or your pets information and treat you like shit when you catch them in the act.Read Less

Thank you so much for your kindness in sending a condolence card to us for my autistic brother Glyn's cat Pumpkin with the paw print inside. I thought this was such a wonderful and simple way to memorialize Pumpkin and it gave Glyn something to show people when he told them how much he missed that miserable old cuss of a cat LOL. At first after Pumpkin was put down my Mother was not going to get another cat but has since changed her mind as Glyn really enjoys the company being such a solitary person so I am sure you will be seeing him with his new pet sometime soon.
