Very affordable, and extremely compassionate staff members. This morning i had to make a very difficult phone call to Glenview Animal Hospital, to have a beloved pet put to rest. The receptionist was very polite and kind over the phone, she quoted me for the procedure (which was a fifth of the price of some other animal hospitals) I asked how they performed the procedure and she took the time to describe to me it in detail. I was referred to their sister clinic called Eagle Rise who had an open appointment today. The vet visit was very difficult for my partner and I; however, the experience was exactly as it was represented over the phone, and somehow the best vet experience we've both ever had. My boyfriend took our cat in to get spayed yesterday morning while I was at work. Him and I were both wrecks as this is our first animal that is truly ours, and the girls over at Glenview called him to let her know she was doing well after surgery, when to pick her up, etc, instead of just leaving us guessing. When I got there to pick her up, the vet had given me a bunch of information on her medication as well as how to administer it, which helped a lot for me being a first time cat owner. They even were nice enough to call a cab for us as I walked down, and it was snowing. Very refreshing to have informative staff, as well as friendly staff. Do not come here. We had a terrible experience with Dr. Watson. I agree with previous reviews. Dr. Watson seems to be more interested in running unnecessary tests to make money. She isn't friendly and she gets her vet techs to do the work for her. In 10 years ive never had such an aweful experience. She didnt even seem to care when I voiced I was upset. Not to mention I never received a follow up call asking if my dog was ok. I clearly left upset after being in the vet office for 2 hours after this aweful experience. Luckily I went else where for a second opinion and they were sweet and helpful and my dog is on the mend. On that note, the receptionist was really sweet. I take my Moluccan Cockatoo to Dr Collis and he’s absolutely incredible with Cuddles! I get so much knowledge from him as a new mom to a 31 year old bird. I heard he was the best, and he certainly is. I’m so happy to have found her the best care early In our journey together. We apparently have the next 30 years. I want to say thank you so much to Dr. Michelle Martin, Dr. Christie MacIntyre and all of the staff for their 8 years of care that they provided Maestro and I. Undeniably the 'gold star' treatment, always. Caring and compassionate through and through. And if anyone reading this questions whether or not vet insurance is worth it, Maestro was a 13.5 year old springer spaniel. I had vet insurance on him from the time he was 4 months old. This is the best place to purchase your pet's food. I have tried the Brand names from pet stores and Glenview. There is no comparison. The stuff sold here is far superior to the same brand names sold in pet stores. The difference is amazing. My 3 dogs have been a patient at Glenview for 5 years now, thus we have gotten to know the practice well. ALL of the staff there are fantastic. I love to see the teamwork and sense of camaraderie amongst the staff. While I can call out a few stars, Vanessa at the front, Dr. Collis and Dr. Jenkins, truly everyone there is wonderful. My dog Lucy is highly anxious and Dr. Jenkins was ever so patient, getting on the floor, moving slowly etc. I have been pleased with their management of my dogs every day care and when there have been emergencies they never let me down. From the moment I call, the people on the phones are knowledgeable and either rush me in or calm me down, depending on how they assess what I have described. I bring all my dogs here. A week ago I brought my elderly dog Sunday into Glenview Animal Hospital for a wellness check, she was having issues breathing, had several sizable lumps on her and wasn't eating or drinking. The compassion and caring and love from the staff here - specifically Dr. Jenkins in helping me make a very difficult decision to let her be at rest was beyond anything I could expect.. I lost a pet a few years ago, and another one was sick. They called to follow up on my sick boy, and he had passed away. The staff at Glenview sent me a card in the mail, sending their condolences for the passing of both. They referred to them by name. The personal touch at this clinic was very special, and I still have that card. I've since moved away, but I miss having people I trust in charge of my pet's health. Dr. Macintyre was great with my parents' and sister's dog's, but doesn't appear to work here anymore. Dr. Martin and the tech that were treating my dog seemed to have no understanding of vet-related anxiety in dogs and no patience for my dog. It was suggested by Dr. Martin that I looked in to obedience training for my dog-- while I was trying to practice positive training techniques on a fearful/overstimulated dog. Three people attempted to hold my dog and clip her nails and they got about half of them done. I left feeling like a bad owner and like my dog was a bad dog. Under recommendation of a trainer, I went to Saseenos. Dr. Booth was incredibly understanding and good with my dog. They had no problem clipping her nails and drawing blood from her. They took the time with her and calmed her. The drive from Langford to Saseenos is worth it, especially if your dog is anxious or fearful. I wouldn't recommend Glenview to people. Read Less

Overpriced & quoted an exorbitant amount for 'necessary surgery'. When surgery declined for second opinion they called the SPCA & reported animal cruelty.  Case dismissed with proof of visit to another vet stating no surgery required. Lovely staff who really care about animals. We took our dog here when she had terminal cancer, they were so good with us through such a horrible time and even gave us a paw print and sent a sweet card after her passing. I came in to get a trifexis for my puppy dog today and found out she needed her check up to get one, so we had a spontaneous vet visit today... They got us in in 20 minutes so she could get her itchy medicine today....I loved glen view before but I love it more now, my puppy dog can be difficult with new people, and Brandi was able to make best friends with her by the end of the visit and I loved how she made me feel ok about my puppy dog being nervous and growly, and took the time to make sure she left the vet office full of treats and snuggles so she might not be upset to go back again. And even suggested we come in once a month or so for treats and pets from the ladies at the desk to make her more comfortable for the next time when it's the real thing... I know some people complain about cost and stuff but really these are our babies why wouldn't we want to pay for our babies to get great vet care, thank you glen view, see you in a months time for treats pets and another trifexis.....Read Less

Well they lied to us about performing a x-Ray which resulted in an unneeded surgery on my dog that's not even mentioning the false diagnostic and botching blood work on my dog which resulted in her being in so much pain all week we had to constantly drug her up with meds that they obviously charged an arm and leg for. (again from their error) Really hope nobody else has to go through this as its been a very bad week having to watch my dog be in constant pain and be so drugged up she can't even move, and now I have to wait for her to recover from a surgery that she didn't even need, Thanks GlenView! I had to take my male cat in last week and the staff were amazing with him. Dr. Collis was gentle with the examination and gave me the answers I needed. He explained everything very well so I understood what was going on and the assistant was also very thorough in explaining what I needed to know. She gave me options for funding assistance if I needed it and they were willing to wait on the procedure so I could make sure I could afford it. I was given the price of anything that was necessary up front and was also given treatment options. There were no surprises at the end and they were all so nice. They took amazing care of my hedgehog while he was suffering from a tumor in his foot. His leg amputation went amazing and he healed well! I highly recommend Dr Collis for hedgehog care (he was the vet that I worked with) but his whole staff is just as amazing! Read Less

All of the staff here are absolutely amazing! They are caring, patient and above all knowledgeable about my fur babies. Not once have I felt as if they are rushing me when I have a million questions and I always feel like they will give the utmost care to my animals. They always phone me after a couple of days to check in with whatever is going on and you can tell they truly are passionate about their jobs.
