I am a huge worry wart when it comes to my cat, Leanne.She is 15 and getting older so I was very worried about bringing her in for a check up.Dr Sarah MacNaughton, is a wonderful vet!!!! She was extremely patient (with me and my cat) and gave over the top care explaining everything quite thoroughly.When the time came for me to bring my cat in for dental cleaning and surgery she highly recommended Dr Diane Cruickshank.My Leanne, ended up having a terrible mouth condition and needed quite a few teeth removed.Dr Cruickshank called me and explained everything thoroughly before starting anything.My sweet little Leanne is now home healing and her after care is easy. Worst experience ever! After two surgeries and I paid 1000 dollar, My dog’s eye is still not fixed and the doctor said I have to pay another 1000 redo the eye surgery for third times, is totally a torture for my dog. Never recommend！By the way, the doctor is dr. Rae. Read Less

Terrible experience; overcharged and undervalued as a customer. New puppy had multiple small illnesses and they wanted to charge me a full exam fee every time I had to return (even though some illnesses were noticed on original exam fee, not treated and later escalated). One receptionist was incredibly rude. Told me repeatedly she would be very happy to transfer my file to another vet clinic (in a tone that suggested my business was not valued). Most of the time I call I get put on hold till it tells me to try again later. This has happened at least five times. Every time I get through they want me to bring my cat or dog in to see the vet, even for things like flea medication renewal. The vets are good but you really can tell they're maximising billings. I hate the animal hospital and was relieved that McKenzie vet was both open and able to fit me in on a busy Saturday. Muffin can be very shy and hasn't had many vet experiences, but Dr Hockley was so good with him. He has made a full recovery and then some and we will most definitely be back for future checkups. After years of thinking it was easiest to just stay at the same vet I was very unhappy. My rescue dog was never treated very great here. They came across extremely opinionated and made me feel like me and my dog weren't good enough for them. We were made out to be a nuisance. Never felt welcome in the lobby and there was zero respect or patience for my girl who isn't yet socialized. Being a rescue who's afraid of other dogs and freaks out of can't have her in a lobby full of dogs, they didn't like this. They were rude when I wanted to stand outside to wait to be called in. Even though we were right there at the window. They also ignored all my emails with complaints and continue to send me reminders even though I've told them. She was always kind and gentle with our dog Molly. During our recent end-of-life decision Dr. Signorella was right there to support us to the end. Dr Nicole is amazing!! My kitty had to have surgery 2 weeks ago for bladder stones and she was amazing!!! She calls you personally to check how things are going. My cats incision is healing amazingly... Dr Nicole should do plastic surgery! The scarring looks so minimal already. Read Less

I came home after work (7:30pm) to find my cat, not acting like my cat. I knew something was wrong. I knew there were few options at this hour. After a call at 8 to the clinic, we came in for emergency walk-in. The care and compassion Chai and I received was way more than I expected. The Vet was honest with his condition and what could or could not happen and gave me several options with his well being at heart. Never mind that Dr.Michelle and her assistant stayed well past 10pm saving my cat. We are not out of the woods yet but tonight showed me that some people really do care about the animals and the gift they have and it showed tonight. Read Less

Have been going to Mackenzie vet for years with our family dog and now with my own dog...have been 3 times in the last 2 years and have to say I'm not impressed. Vet staff are great and friendly but the front desk staff are rude and unwelcoming. Phone calls are answered with short one word answers and sound irritated with any questions asked. In the store the staff at the desk don't welcome you through the door and are abrupt and rude when asking questions. On all 3 occasions the last two years I have been disappointed as a long term customer. I will be removing both pets from Mackenzie and finding a different vet that values their customers! Vet visits are always expensive and I will be taking my money where I feel valued as a customer! Read Less

I like this place; Vets are nice and knowledgeable. I always feel like my dog is well treated there. It is more expensive then other vets Ive seen One area they could work on is reception. Certain receptionists ( Definitely not all of them ) need to learn some manners! I'm almost at a point that I may consider switching vets because every time I called I hang up a little upset! Don't be angry if I call to ask about how long a certain surgery is expected to last! It's a legitimate question. Oh and please don't start humming on the phone when I ask questions! I used to love this place but the last few visits have really shown me they care more about money than my pets. They also have an "emergency" fee that is double what a regular vet visit is if you bring your pet in last minute. This is the only vet that is not an emergency vet clinic that has done this. They are no better than central who also takes advantage of the fact that you love your pet and will pay what needs to be paid. I will not be going back. Read Less

I started coming a few weeks ago. I am happy with the vet Malcolm but have to say I am disappointed by the support staff. Customer service is key in this role and there is a lack of empathy, friendliness and listening skills. Vet visits can be stressful for people with fur babies that are going through things they cannot tell us what's wrong!I do however want to point out one person in particular that I was super impressed with. Jessica was not only sweet and understanding she went out of her way to help me out when I was dealing with a stressful situation. If it wasn't for her I would have probably found another vet!
