We were visiting the area from Seattle when our cat got one of her chronic URIs. It's always the same drill- get checked out, no fever, get a 5-7 day prescription of Clavamox. While driving from Tofino to Victoria, we stopped at 7+ vets and all were booked and couldn't squeeze us in. FINALLY, we stopped at Burnside. The doctor (I can't remember her name) overheard us talking to the receptionist and came over and said she could see us right then! The doctor did a thorough examination, gave recommendations and treatment options for our Persian, answered all of our questions about her URI, allergies, etc...She also gave us detailed notes for us to take back to our original vet in Seattle. She is fantastic. Unfortunately, we heard she is moving to Colorado to attend school for a specialty in dentistry so she won't be around much longer, but definitely visit her before she leaves! All the other staff were friendly as well. And the prices weren't too high. I think the examination was $75 or so, which is on the low end compared to other places we called. Also, we found the building itself to be very nice. It was very clean, and there were 2 separate waiting areas. I am used to going to clinics that could always use a deep cleaning or there's always a smell lingering.... Perhaps we arrived right after they cleaned, but nonetheless, the place was in fantastic shape. Cleanest clinic I have ever been to! Overall, this was one of the best experiences I have had seeing a vet. I couldn't have asked for anything different- great doctor, nice building, clean, knowledgeable, inexpensive, accurate, friendly, warm, caring...etc. I highly recommend. Read Less
