I just love Glanford animal hospital. They helped me so much with my baby bella before she passed away. She loved our vet. Now I bring in baby tikka there and we are happy to have found an amazing vet. Before here I had been going to a local vet in Sooke and decided to make a change as the I wasn’t happy there. My experience was not a positive one, Dr, Klein treated my cat for only one problem and when I finally took my cat to another vet, it was found that she had other health problems and the one that she was been treated by Dr. Klein was the least of the problems, luckily for us we found a much more experience Vet, that was able to provide care and guidance for caring for a senior cat. My experience here was unfortunately the worst experience I have had with a vet and I think the worst I will ever have. I had seen a lovely vet in Langford prior to my visit as not a lot of vets in Victoria can treat reptiles, but this vet was closest to me and had the most convenient hours so i decided to go. So sadly i had made the painful decision to have my sweet chameleon euthanized. I had taken my chameleon to the other pet hospital in Langford and they had suggested the idea to me about a month and a half before, I had thought about it constantly for that time. When i made the appt i explained the situation with the receptionist and she was very friendly and said that i could come and drop my little lizard off for the scheduled time and I would not need to see the vet, i could just come and pick up the body the next day. Well the sad and terrible day came, and i dropped her off, said my goodbyes, and left. about an hour later i get a voicemail from the vet asking me to call back and my animal was still alive. I called the vet and he proceeded to tell me that he would not euthanize her and couldn't believe i would want to. Obviously no one wants to euthanize their pet... If i wasn't in enough anguish, he then spent about 45 minutes on the phone trying to rationalize with me why he wouldn't do the procedure, while i am balling, he never once sounded sympathetic for the heartache he was causing me and also let me know he would be keeping my money as a "wellness exam" fee which was $75. He also made me pay for medicine when I came to pick her up at the same time the receptionist suggested that our other vet never had a quality of life talk with my. The whole office made me feel like a terrible person for doing something it took me so much courage to do in the first place. He says he loves animals but he really doesn't care about people at all I wish i knew his name so i could warn others of his negligence. I did go back to my original vet later to have the procedure done but not before she had hurt herself badly after bringing her home from Glanford Animal Clinic. She could have avoided so much pain and suffering if he could have only shown more compassion.. :'( Read Less

Dr. Rolfe ia awesome! My dog Zeus loves going to see him, my cat Carl feels so at ease in his office. Animals are best at judging characters ;) His staff are so polite and professional, would recommend his practice to all furry kid parents. Read Less
