We are a locally and privately owned, five doctor veterinary practice in the heart of beautiful Charleswood, located at the corner of Roblin Boulevard and Alcrest Drive. We have been practicing high quality care and service since 1977.
We offer quality, personalized pet care services for dogs and cats such as annual physical exams and vaccinations, diagnostic laboratory, basic ultrasound, radiology, dentistry, as well as perform general surgical procedures which include spays, neuters, soft-tissue surgeries and orthopaedic surgeries.

Very happy with Charleswood Vet clinic. Dr Leclair is fantastic with both of my dogs. She hasn't ever tried to talk us into anything that isn't required for the health of my dogs.

After calling several vet clinics, asking to have them take a look at my cat after he had eaten a poisonous plant.... they all turned me down before committing to a "minimal 72 hour, $600 visit". I fe...
After calling several vet clinics, asking to have them take a look at my cat after he had eaten a poisonous plant.... they all turned me down before committing to a "minimal 72 hour, $600 visit". I felt like none of them had my pets well being as 1st priority. Then I called charleswood location. 1st question I was asked was "how is he/she doing?" And they got me in to check my fur baby right away. They kept me calm and positive (which was the complete opposite I had felt after speaking to any other vet)
They took care of my fur baby with not only great care, but they kept my financial situation in mind. I have NEVER been to a vet that has been willing to work with me on payment!
More vets...ALL vets should take notes!!

First Impression:New building with separate Surgical building.Clean, lots of parking and easy to locateInitial Experience upon entering:I have visited this clinic 3 x now for my dog, everytime the floors looked to have been freshly mopped and sanitized.Non porous floors with a fresh take/image on a Veterinary clinic.Tidy and clean waiting room with more than ample seating to wait.Displays of products recommended and available against the west wall of the waiting room.Every visit have been greeted with friendliness and a smile.Always had multiple staff to help me at the front desk promptlyNo files flying about, they are very organized.The staff made my dog feel welcome at at ease. Calmed his puppy anxiety even while being weighed.Quickly accommodates depending on the situation (Infections/Sickness/Etc)Vet experience:Very first visit saw Dr.Julie Whelen; Talk about experience.2 immunization injections with the puppy hardly even flinching.Super quick, Knows what she's doing, and made my dog not even notice he was getting injections completed. Made my dog feel really comfortable for his first vet visit. Was able to keep him calm on the table the whole time.Very friendly and relates her own experiences/advise as a vet and a pet owner.Came back for a ear infection, knew what it was instantly. Called about an ill cat. I have a severe allergy to latex and asked if I could go there without reacting. They said they would call back and not only never did, my cat was diagnosed with FIP by a clinic that actually cared. As for the allergy, they said they would try which shows they know nothing about it. Go here if you hate your pet and want it to suffer.
