I took my rabbit here for a spay and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful! After she woke up from the anesthetic they called me to let me know how the procedure went and how she was doing. When I went to pick my rabbit up, a vet tech very thoroughly went through the procedure and after care with me. The next day they called again to check up on her to see how she was doing and they advised me that she wasn’t eating enough and that I should come in to get a dietary supplement for her and encouraged me to call back to follow up. When I did so, the receptionist was very helpful, putting me on hold to double check with the doctor. I will continue to bring my pet bunny back to Corydon Animal Hospital and I encourage anyone else who has pet rabbits to do so also! Read Less

I was there for the first time last Fall to have an exotic pet euthanized. When I came in, one of the receptionists brought me and my pet into an empty room and had me fill out some papers. She sounded half-asleep, like she didn't want to be there and was very cut and dry. When I inquired about the procedure, she said that the doctor would "gas him" in reference to my pet. I asked additional questions about the procedure; she continued to use the same terminology. It was jarring, unempathetic, and left a bad taste in my mouth. It's too bad, because the doctor himself was absolutely fantastic. If I would have had a better experience, I'd be bringing my exotics there regularly. Read Less

This guy was found wandering my neighbourhood for several months. I took him to my vet for a health check and to help find his owners. His tattoo was traced many kilometers away at Corydon A.H. Owners will not return calls to come get him. I offered to adopt him and asked what his name is. CAH won't tell me his name because they feel it could somehow be used to identify the previous owner, and that I need their permission despite the fact they won't return calls. I'm just trying to help this guy who was abandoned, and out of respect for him I wanted to call him by his name. Thanks to Corydon Animal Hospital, that won't happen. A big "Thumbs Down" to them for trying to hide behind Privacy Legislation that does not apply to an abandoned cat. Read Less

I came in with a sick cat not knowing what to expect as my regular vet didn't have anything available on short notice. Prices were really great and the staff were so friendly. They don't charge you for things that you don't necessarily need like a lot of the other animal hospitals that I have visited. The Vet (Amber Ly) talked me through the process and explained step-by-step what she would do during the exam and how much everything would cost. My cat had a UTI which had cleared up and came back so she decided to try a different kind of antibiotic. Happy to report it seems to be working. Also my cat is usually 10x more annoyed to be at the vet but he seemed to be more at ease at this facility. Read Less

Maybe one star because I am not impressed with this animal hospital at all.. My wife brought our precious pup there today for one shot, and it turned into several items with a vet bill higher than we had planned possible. Even worse, the Dr had my wife in tears, listing issues with our dog that has never been major problems before. She listed several issues, which in turn my wife finally had enough and broke down. She has never felt so little, and to be made of a terrible pet owner. My wife believed everything she had said and was willing to do whatever it took to make our pup top notch, but I will be looking into getting a second opinion because I don't see this being any more than a money grab. We first came to Corydon Animal Hospital recently after moving to Winnipeg - we had been on a road trip and our dog had been attacked by a farm dog on a pee break in the country. Dr Madill treated her injuries with great gentleness and affection.  We've taken our animals there for a few years now. We had our very elderly cat euthanized when her kidneys failed and the staff was very kind and compassionate. I just brought the whole zoo in for checkups and shots and by the end, Dr Madill had both cats chilling on the table while the dog was being examined. I've never seen anyone manage to keep multiple animals so calm all at once. Totally love this clinic! Read Less

What a professional and wonderful service! My deaf cat had some teeth and gums issues, and was brought in for a health and overall assessment. It turned out that he needed to have some teeth pulled out and a thorough dental cleaning. So attached to my cat, I was really worried. It was so hard to bring him at the clinic for the procedure, and sign the release form in case he died or got some injuries. Despite all this, they really took their time to explain everything on the iPad (I'm Deaf too!). They were also willing to communicate with me by email, and they even showed me the op room where Tango would have his procedure. They were really helpful, open, friendly, and so patient! Oh!
