I came in here a couple weeks before Christmas and the staff tried to completely take advantage of me, and arguably did. I went in to get the second round of shots for my dog. I asked a couple of questions, "how do I clean her ears? how do I safely trim her nails?" I've never had a dog indoors for long enough that the nails never stayed short.
"No problem, I'll have a nurse show you how to do it, it's SUPER easy". So she swabs our girls ears and leaves, then a nurse comes in and doesn't explain but insists on demonstrating how to cut the nails. Well a simple instruction like "slowly and not too short" would've sufficed, it sure isn't rocket science. Then she gave the kennel cough vaccine and I'm 90% certain that it all shot over her head and in her eye, none of it in her nose.
Long story less long than it could be, I got to the counter to pay and leave just to be given a bill for $170 instead of the $50 I was told. They tacked on money for the nail clipping, antibiotics (that I wasn't told were prescribed or necessary), the inspection of the ear wax sample (which I NEVER asked for) and I can't recall off hand what else. I told them to take the antibiotics back, I didn't want them. I looked at the bill and didn't argue all of the other charges because they were services rendered and I'm not a douche (even though I didn't ask for them, and wasn't informed they were additional expenses). The girls looked at me like I morphed into satan in front of them. Called someone from the back to say that "he doesn't want these" so that they could take 'em back after glaring at me as though hoping to instill shamefullness.
The next day I got a call from them and they left a message. "Hi Mr W, so sorry about your appointment last night. I didn't realize that this appointment was 8 weeks after the first vaccine appointment. We're going to have to have her back in in 4 weeks because this innoculation won't be effective, too much time has passed."
Honestly, I will never set foot back in this place. I have half a mind to track down the manager and demand my money back. I simply can't believe that a business can get away with such a incompetent and unprofessional service.
