Our large breed ate a ton of Berber carpet from a cat scratching pad (what turned out to be over a full sandwich bag full!) while we were out of town and the pets were home with our petsitter. We didn't realize that she had eaten it and the first day we were home she was vomiting everything she ate. When we noticed she was trembling, we called our rural vet and they were not accepting after-hours calls for January, but referring to WPG Emergency Vet on Pembina. We didn't like the reviews and wanted to get her in somewhere closer. I saw Plessis Vet on Google and they were still open! From what I had quickly read about animals ingesting rope (similar to the strands of Berber), we were afraid she was going to need major surgery. Dr. Virdi chose a less-invasive approach (and a much less expensive one too) that would stabilize her first. She ended up staying for three nights and we received updates from the Dr. himself on a regular basis. My husband and I were very impressed with how THOROUGH Dr. Virdi was throughout the process. He was very calm and seemed like he actually puts himself in the pet owner's shoes. We are so glad that he did not opt to put her into emergency surgery and that she is still with us. The prices are fair and the genuine service from both doctors was refreshing. We will definitely be back...but hopefully minus an emergency! ;) Thank you Dr. Virdi! Read Less

Decent overall experience - terrible customer service when calling in. We have taken our puppy to Plessis Vet since we adopted her through a rescue they are afflicted with. When I had a concern about her spay stiches not disolving and poking through the skin a month after surgery the receptionist was very rude on the phone and kept cutting me off telling me it was normal and not listening to my concerns. This never happen to my other dog during her spay so it wasn't normal to me. I just didn't appreciate the lack of compassion and understanding, they were cold and argumentative that nothing was wrong and trying to get me off the phone. Great Vet's, they set boundaries, have a great set up similar to a human clinic. I like how the procedures are done in a separate room; this room has a window. There's a nice clean washroom available if you need to go. My puppy greeted the vets asap. Gave good information plus, the vets are on the save page as me - save money and use the time efficiently. Went into the clinic with an emergency. The vet was not there but was called and rushed in despite bad roads. Everyone took great care of my dog and the vet ensured to explain everything that was done and what was required at home. Great clinic! Read Less

We took our cat around 3 pm early in Oct. Noticed a swelling by her tail and she was just not well. Dr. Virdi checked her out and said it was an abscess and that she needed surgery right away. He did the surgery and we picked her up the SAME day ! It was a quite badly infected abscess and he looked after her so well. We had to take her in a previous time in an emergency and again, he was so good with her and we were so glad they were open! We are grateful to him and the staff for the wonderful care our cat was given. She's pretty much healed from her abscess and he's still keeping a close eye on her. Read Less

Thank you Plessis vet for helping my fur baby in a emergency situation. I came home to her and a empty bottle of Motrin. I rushed her in and they brought her in right away and got her to throw up. She stayed over night to be montiered. I had amazing customer service and updates, thank you for being so kind to my baby girl. You made me feel better about the situation and what happened. Through a accident my cat went through a whole wash cycle. When I pulled her out she was gone. I did pet CPR and rush to Plessis Vet. The care and compassion we received was unbelievable. I was beside myself with guilt and anxiety over whether my kitty would make it. The vets both worked hard to bring her back. After hours and hours.... Our Kitty had a miracle recovery! Absolutely love this hospital! Very caring & considerate. Totally recommend. Never had any veterinarian ever show so much care for their patients and their owners.. Our baby just had surgery there & they were very caring, took excellent care of him! We are just amazed with the doctors there. Sorry just raving because it means a lot now we have a veterinary hospital nearby with great doctors & the hours and prices are very reasonable! Even open on the weekends with no extra charges!!
