On one of the hardest days of my life, the team at CBS was so amazing. They saw my pain and put me in a private room to spend time with my dog before I had to make the difficult choice. I loved that it was not money driven as some. They we up front and honest that my poor dog needed to pass on. We were treated with the utmost respect and love and I will forever be a client of theirs. I didnt hear the typical let us put her on meds for 5 days in hospital and see. It was honest and the Vet we had was so caring and told us to take our time with our goodbyes. I highly recommend this place of business to all who want the best care for there loved one. We have been brining our Saint Bernard, Thor to CBS Animal Hospital since we first got him from our breeder. We would not bring him anywhere else. We love the staff there as they treat our dog with the same love they treat their own pets. More importantly our Thor loves them. Our biggest problem with bringing him to the vet is that he doesn’t want to leave and go home because he gets so much attention there. We highly recommend them for all of your pet care needs. This is just another rip off. I have a 17 year old dog, who is in great general health, other than dental problems. After paying $300 for a check-up, this clinic recommended that all this dog's teeth be removed. This is a major surgery for a very senior dog probably in the last stages of her natural life, and I declined as I considered it as inflicting unnecessary suffering on my beloved old girl. I requested antibiotics and a pain killer for her. After a mere few days, she seemed her old self again. She thrived and certainly wasn't in pain. Then her prescription ran out. Back to the vet, another $300 spent, and good for another month. The vet refuses to offer refills on the prescription as they simply want to continue to rip us off- no concern whatsoever for this pets suffering. The attitude is 'you shouldn't have a pet' if you can't pay, which is extortion. They would willingly subject a senior dog to unnecessary surgery to get their $2 grand, all the while knowing it will probably kill her, or cause her last year to be one of extreme discomfort. This vet has not the slightest inkling of empathy or compassion for the pet and certainly none for a pet owner. Treat your clients fairly and they may come back. Learn good business practice.  PS, Paradise Animal Hospital has poorly trained staff and vets as well, performed a botched kidney stone surgery on my Shih Tzu causing circulation problem and 3 additional surgeries. (His Penis had to be amputated) I took him to Bay Roberts Animal hospital where they saved his life. These scum charged us 4 thousand to nearly kill our beautiful dog. I forgive accidents, but I do not forgive overcharging and incompetence.  Take your critter to Bay Roberts for the best possible care in Newfoundland that I know of...just my and my wife's opinion ...I know of no other place that is trustworthy. My dog Tai has been seeing Dr. Patterson for years. She has always treated him as if he was her own and always had his well being a priority. She took the time to get to know us so we felt like family. Unfortunately yesterday we all said goodbye to tai after 16.5 years. Dr. Patterson and the staff we so unter standing and I truly felt the emotion everyone was going through. Went there today with our puppy Sam. The staff there are great! I've been taking my animals here for years and you will not find a nicer place to bring your animals. They are a business yes and charge to care for your animals but they don't over charge and are truly there for the best interest of your animal not the money they make. I have taken both of my cat's to 'CBS Animal Hospital'. For anyone that do know me, would know my cats are like my children. I wouldn't trust just anyone to look after them. I just want to thank Dr. Patterson and her staff for the wonderful treatment that they gave both myself and my 17year old puppy Baytoven on Monday September 21st 2015.
