I somehow mistakingly wrote the wrong review about this place of business confusing it with Companion Veterinary Hospital in Cole Harbour. The Eastern Passage Veterinary Hospital is an excellent place to take your fur babies to be taken to. The staff is amazingly welcoming and happy. They genuinely care about your loved ones and give excellent care. I cannot recommend this place enough for your pets. They are well knowledge and certainly make you feel more than welcome when you enter this place of business. Read Less

Extremely friendly staff. The Doctor was very polite and inquisitive; she took the time to ask lots of questions about our pet's issue. My cat's not fond of new people, but she and the vet-tech were capable of manipulating her for her nails to be trimmed without issue. Great experience, really reasonable prices. Read Less

Outstanding care. I am relatively new to the area but have been a pet parent for decades. My job has forced me to relocate. I am famililiar with many veterinary hospitals but I can tell you this one supersedes any before. Every single person in that clinic is incredibly knowledgable and brilliant. I was able to get a same-day appt. Staff VERY friendly! Able to get lab results right away as they have a lab on-site. I would highly recommend them! When I advised I had a dog with anxiety in meeting new people and being in new places, they knew just what to do to help ease her fear! Read Less

My 10 week old Golden Irish puppy, Clover has had the best care at this vet so far! Upon registering my girl, she was offered puppy socialization classes for a few weeks one evening per week, which she has attended for the past 3 weeks. She has a blast with the staff and other puppies! She comes home tired and ready for bed. They staff are able to provide answers for any questions, and can pick up on behavioural issues and provide tricks to fix them before the pup gets too old. We were also provided with a puppy starter pack with information, some treats, poop bags, etc. She had her first vet appointment this evening, and she was so excited to see the staff there! She met Dr Hill for the first time and she was great with my high energy pup, and offered her some food to distract her from her needles. I am so happy we chose to come to this vet!Read Less

All of the staff at the clinic are very caring. Our Prince Charlie stayed in the royal Red suite that is now available for cat stays. Charlie had lots of room, lots of toys, a treehouse that he could climb and lookout the window. Charlie gave them the stare for the first day but then they won him over. We were very lucky to be able to watch Charlie on our computer and knew he was doing well. Thanks everyone. Some how I've managed to miss reviewing them.  Wow.These guys and gals are pretty fantastic.  I live in the Passage and a year ago acquired a pooch.  Given they are a 2min drive from my house they were the logical choice for veterinary care for her.  I was told by others they are more expensive than other clinics.  However, if I don't have to schlep across the city and they are good with my dog then I'm not so fussy on the expense.  Before they were officially my vet I unfortunately had to take pupster to the emergency clinic.  They, of course, asked who my home vet was.  I explained I didn't have one yet (had only had the dog for 3 days) but was hoping to use EPVVC.  They faxed over the dog's report from the emerg visit to them anyway.  A day later someone from EPVVC called to check up on us, see how pupster was doing. And we weren't even patients of their's at this point!  My dog came from a not so great home so has some issues we're working her through.  These folks were more than happy to indulge the princess and do things at her pace....and the pockets full of treats seemed to have helped her adjust!  She has eventually learned that the vet doesn't always mean bad things, and is quite comfortable going in now.  There have been a few times I've needed last minute appointments, once I even showed up without one, and they happily accommodated us.  These folks are happy, friendly, polite and most importantly good with my sensitive dog.  They get a solid 5 stars from me! Our first and so far only experience with the clinic was during the loss of our cat. The staff and veterinarians were more than comforting during the difficult process of saying goodbye to our cherished family member and their professionalism and caring for our well being as well as for the comfort of our cat were outstanding. Eastern Passage Village Veterinary Clinic is a gem of a vet, tucked away in one of the furthermost suburbs of Halifax.Located in Eastern Passage, this vet clinic is open long hours so that you can arrange appointments around your work hours.  The staff are friendly and professional, and it's obvious they love their patients.A few years ago, we adopted our first cat Zed from these folks.  Although they have discontinued the adoption program, they're still a great resource for pets both young and old.  The prices are reasonable, and there is no pressure for add-on services that aren't strictly necessary.
