I'm so thankful the staff was able to fit us in quickly because of a cancellation. We had an excellent consultation with the doctor who was most helpful and responsive as well as very gentle with a scared pup. Thank you all.

We understand leaving home can be stressful for many pets, and are happy we could make the experience a little easier for everyone. Give your pup a pat from us!

I would advise to avoid at all costs. On my initial visit, the staff could not have been less professional or helpful, at the time that my cat most needed care. It was genuinely shocking.
My cat had received a tentative diagnosis from an emergency vet, and I'd taken him into Halifax Veterinary for further examination/information.
They were extremely brusque with me and showed no patience for any of my fairly straightforward questions about my cat's diagnosis. My only desire at that time was for information. Poor manners would be fine if they'd shown any care to my cat, but they could not have been less interested.
At no time did I allow myself to become confrontational or excited, because my cat's health was my overriding concern at that moment—time was very important.
When I addressed questions to the vet tech (whom I'd briefly mistaken for the doctor), she stopped what she was doing and glared at me like I'd just committed a grave social error or something. She abruptly left the room, and I was told minutes later that no blood would be drawn and that I should leave.
(I was later told by an employee, not present, that they'd been having "a hard time" at the clinic. I don't know what this means, but I feel like allowing it to affect the work to such an extent is the definition of "unprofessional.")
Ultimately, happily, we found a better vet. And my cat, whom Halifax Vet Hospital had written off, is doing great.
So, just beware. There are better options.
