I highly recommend Dr. Boyce as an equine vet, my miniature horse had some kind of allergic reaction with severe swelling to jaws and cheeks, Dr Boyce was very quick to respond and quickly treated her and was great to work through the treatment plan moving forward with us! Thank u to the staff at Evangeline Animal Hospital. Dr. Boyce was referred to me a few weeks ago, as my precious Maisie, the English Mastiff, was diagnosed with bone Cancer in her left hind leg. We live in Halifax, made some calls, and immediately felt comfortable when talking with the staff and Dr. Boyce. We were left with very little options to try and save our girl, so we made the venture to Saulnierville to have her leg amputated. Everyone was so kind and helpful, given... the situation...we felt like home. Dr. Boyce and her team did an amazing job with Maisie, and explained the process before and after. Lots of calls from the staff over a period of 2 days while she rested at the clinic, just to let us know how she was doing. Maisie came home with us 2 days later and is doing remarkably well! Our dog Sidney received the great gift of excellent care from both vets, Shannon and Ben. What makes a difference to us as animal lovers, is the care, love, kindness and compassion they show in all that they do. They truly understand the bond we feel towards our beloved pets. The other morning, my little dude Cadburry decided it was a great time to wake me up at 2 am because his little ears were bothering him.. Last year had an emergency with my diabetic cat. I had never been to this particular vet but it was on a Sunday night and with the condition boobear was in it couldn't wait. Dr. Ben did not hesitate to meet me there. Unlike the vet in Yarmouth a year before when he first was diagnosed, he was very compassionate and gave me hope. He provided him excellent care. Many tests were given that same night and the visit costs were truly great. They called me daily for a couple of a man to check up on him. They also wouldn't do any procedures that weren't necessary. Not the vet for me, they are poor at there job and then blame the costumer. Just had them call me and tell me my dogs and me are not welcome there anymore. We had to say goodby to our boy Rusty on October 6, 2016. The vetrinarian and vet tech made our goodbys so comfortable. We were in a back area that looked like an apartment. He was on a blanket on the floor. I was allowed to lay down with him during the whole process. They are so empathetic and compasionate. They made our goodby a little easier. The vet explained the whole process in such a compassionate way. We've had nothing but the best care from Dr. Boyce and the Evangeline Animal Hospital team. It's been a long road for our dog, Dover. What started as ear infections turned to a skin issue and then to eye discharge. We initially met with Dr. Boyce at a different clinic and it was no question we would follow her to her new practice. She was the first vet to look at the whole picture rather then just treat the flared up symptom. After two years of treatments(steroids, anti fungals, foot soaks, eye drops, topical sprays, blood work and diet changes) and numerous set backs, Dover is finally healthy! His skin issue(which re-occurred on his left front paw) is cleared up, his ears are dry and his eye weeps no more. Best of all, he is free of the cone of shame! I strongly recommend Evangeline Animal Hospital for the best in veterinary care.Read Less
