Avon Animal Hospital

General Info
We are a multi-species veterinary practice offering premium outpatient and in-clinic care for your pets and horses. Our veterinarians work hard to remain current on animal health care topics and are proud to utilize many of the latest technologies in veterinary medicine. Companion animal services range from routine vaccines, exams and dentistry, to sophisticated soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery. For horses, we provide either on-farm or in-clinic care, including wellness exams, export certification, pre-purchase evaluation, colic diagnosis, vaccination, dentistry and lameness work-up. Our equine hospital and reproduction laboratory also enables us to perform many elective surgical procedures, as well as advanced reproductive work such as equine embryo transfer. All of our veterinarians are members in good standing of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. Our equine vets are also proud members of the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

Made an appt. Took my dog in for a cough and was told he was having heat failure...BUT..They don't do xrays or any surgeries at this location, that I'd have to make ANOTHER appt and go to their Windso...
Made an appt. Took my dog in for a cough and was told he was having heat failure...BUT..They don't do xrays or any surgeries at this location, that I'd have to make ANOTHER appt and go to their Windsor vet hospital. How can you call yourselves an Animal HOSPITAL? And why was I not informed of the lack of services when I called to make my appt?????? I did go to the Windsor location where there I was told my dog was NOT having heart failure but just inflammation of his treachea.... It's just very lucky for my dog that he was not in heart failure because he would have died during the wait to get to the other hospital. This is just very poor service and irresponsible of this clinic, to not informed people of this lack of services when we call to make an appointment... I will NEVER use this vet again, thank you for wasting so much of our precious time and misdiagnosing my dogs condition, causing me so much stress thinking he was going to die!

Excellent large animal vet staff, would recommend Dr. Doubleday to anyone looking for a vet for their horse(s). Very personable and friendly Hospital staff who seem to genuinely care about your fur babies. Travelled 4 hours round trip to have kittens needles and neutering attended to and it was worth it!

AAH staff are amazing. I live over an hour away and I will alway bring my animals to them. We've had to say goodbye to 3 cats over that last five years and the vets, techs and office staff are so fill...

We've had to say goodbye to 3 cats over that last five years and the vets, techs and office staff are so filled with compassion and love. Harley does not like to wait quietly for Dr Heather to come to him and is very vocal until she does. Many thanks for the help and compassion with the passing of Ozzie. He knew he was loved.
