would you like to tell me what is included in an exam at your office? Because the vet I took her to after I left your place did her temperature, found out she was dehydrated and her heart rate was out of wack.. all you did was put it on a scale and report me to the SPCA for her weight loss which you should know was medically related and not caused by me like you assumed

I actually brought my dog in because of the weight loss and the vet did not do anything other than weigh her and ask what I did,I brought her in because of the weight loss over the last 4 months, they never asked about her eating habits nothing, nobody offered to help me I have gotten her help through a vet that actually cares about the animal and not just the money. Which is what I said I would do when I left there was get her help somewhere else. When I said I could not afford $500 that day I was told to give my dog to a rescue and that is when I said you can go f*** yourself she's my family.

You are a grown up like the rest of us and responsible to pay bills. Veterinarians are just employees and can't pay other people bills. Paying other people bills doesn't equal care and love.

We are sorry you feel this way; but we found ourselves obligated to respond (though sincerely did not want to). You brought you dog (8 years old) in for being limping (last seen in 2014; no history of any medication used since this date not even a de-wormer). On exam; dog is severely emaciated grade 1-2 (skin on bones) out of 9 (Purina scale). she was Hardly able to walk or raise her head. During history taking; you said that this has been going (losing weight) for 6 month but she was not in pain and that is why you did not bring her in for exam. The lady vet. prepared an estimate for diagnostics and you declined because monetary limitation (which is nothing wrong with it). During discussion; we offered you giving the dog up to a rescue group if there is no opportunity to treat (irrespective to the reason) but you used vulgar language (go and etc...) and picked up your purse to leave. while paying your bill; you continued your disrespectful talk. We asked you kindly to find yourself another vet. We wish you all the best

The female owner of this Clinic was extremely rude to me on the phone. I was explaining that I wasn't able to keep my dog on a certain medication because of its expense. She was very rude in telling me that my dog should never have been taken off of it in the first place. I mean, I already feel bad enough about this. I told her that my dog's well-being is very important to me, but that my two children have to come first. All I wanted was for her to fill a prescription, but she wanted to give me the third degree about not keeping the dog on constant medication. Amy and she told me to find another vet. Little did she know that I was only too happy to. I would not recommend.

When the Lady veterinarian asked about how is Dexter doing and Mrs. Leighton answered that he started itching again. It was the veterinarian duty to verify that there is compliance with the treatment and understanding the disease (environmental allergy/ food intolerance or both). This especially true in this case as we always see the husband during office visit (Mr. Leighton) but we never had the pleasure to see you. Many times there is a missing link in communication especially if the person who brings the dog is not the same person who gives the medication. We do not judge people actions; We address the situation from the medical point of view only especially in case of allergy as it act like a snow ball effect (itching will compromise skin barrier, bacterial dermatitis will develop, otitis externa will occur and needs medication to control; etc...). And when is it a repeated situation like in this case. It was when Mrs. Leighton started shouting and said don't give me this attituded; among other things.The lady veterinarian was just asking to verify compliance. Shouting and verbal abuse are not tolerated and that is why we asked you kindly to find another veterinarian. We wish all the best

I haven’t been so blessed in my life other then having John and Rita taking care of my fur babies. I lost my little white dog cookie but it wasn’t due to lack of trying John went above and beyond to save her but I guess it was her time😢she was 13.
My English bulldog struggle with tail infection from day one and no one could figure it out other then John sadie had to have her tail removed because she was born with a defected tail and the infection would never go away due to the deformity that John had figured out. John was hesitant to perform the surgery because he hadn’t done one to that scale before but I had faith in him he done the surgery with better results then expected! Now all my babies are happy healthy and living their best life with no issues.
I would trust these two with my life💞💞💞

I can not say enough about how professional and caring both vets are at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Here are all the pluses: phone calls are answered by a human, emergencies are dealt with immediately, follow ups are part of the caring plan and the level of experience and expertise of both vets is next to none. To me, the important part is their constant need to ensure that the smallest details are considered and looked at when caring for my dog.

We were so touched by the kindness and compassion at Saint Mary's. They truly care and take the time to talk with you to really make sure your pet gets the best care possible. We just had to put our 15 year old cat, Webster, down. Such a hard thing to do, but it made it a little easier because of their kind and understanding ways. In time, we will likely get another cat, the house is so empty now. And for sure, we will be taking our cat to Saint Mary. They are the most caring vets I have ever come across. Kindness at such a dark time means so much. Would recommend them to anyone and their prices are very reasonable.

John and Rita really care about your pets! We have been taking Max there for about six years and they take great care of him. He had a mass removed by John and the outcome has been excellent. John showed us and explained thoroughly how we could treat Max at home! He was seeing Max every second day and not charging us a cent! He and Max have become great friends and I can't say enough good things about the service John and Rita provide to Max and us. Highly recommended by myself and Mike. Thank you , John and Rita. Absolutely terrible, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to take their pet here! Took my dog in with an emergency they looked her over decided she would need a shot of sedative brought me a paper to sign with what they told me the price would be, afterwards it was almost $125 more than my quoted price. Then the icing on the cake, I asked how long sedative would last and I was told half an hour, on our 30 minuet drive home her sedative had finally kicked in fully and she could no longer lift her head up. I called back and was told that I could bring her back in if I really thought it was necessary but that by the time I got her back she would "probably be fine" after all she walked out of the vet's office and got into the car. My poor dog couldn't stand up for 5 hours after I got her home. Never again.

If there were more stars I would definately be giving them to Saint Mary's! They went above and beyond for our cat Hunter when he was sick. It took a few trips into see John but he finally figured out what was wrong with him. I should mention that Hunter was pretty much on his death bed, hadn't eaten or drank water for 6 days. John was so good with him and with us, he texted me and called me several times a day to see how we were doing and I am certain he did not charge me for everything! Thank you so much Rita and John!

I brought my mothers cat to the St Mary's Animal Hospital as she was extremely sick. I must say that when I was told that Freckles may not survive I was devastated. I advised my mother and we made "plans". Freckles had to stay at the hospital and on the second day, she started to improve by the evening she was ready to come home. I don't know what they did but they saved her life. Freckles will always have her problems but we know know what to feed her and what signs to look for. Thanks to St.Mary's Animal Hospital my Moms beautiful Freckles gets to enjoy her life, again.

John and Rita are very caring vets who take the time you need and never turns you away. You can tell they really love what they do and they make you feel welcome with a warm smile. They never rush you, and are always a phone call away with helpful advice. Both their hours and prices are excellent and honestly, they’ve spoiled our large fur family with their loving care. I highly recommend them, and quite frankly, would never go elsewhere as they are quite simply the best.

I first started going there shortly after they opened. Due to a mistake from a different vet, my pug got an overdose of the rabies vaccine. Both John and Rita worked together and saved my dog's life...

Without a doubt this is the best animal hospital in the Windsor area (I've been to them all). They are much more attentive and caring than the others. Also the people here are very friendly and informative. They took the time to explain everything in detail, and made my cat much healthier and happier. You wont get just another temporary and expensive solution with this animal hospital, you'll get a long-term solution and a better quality of life for your pet. Very much recommended!

We recently had one our dogs attacked by another dog and he suffered serious damage to one eye as well as injury to his paw. The medical attention received by Drs. John and Rita at Saint Mary's Animal Hospital was second to none. They are professional, caring and skilled in what they do. We were very satisfied with the care "Buddy" received from these veterinarians ( both immediate care and post-op. care) and would recommend them highly.

This especially true in this case as we always see the husband during office visit (Mr. Leighton) but we never had the pleasure to see you. Many times there is a missing link in communication especially if the person who brings the dog is not the same person who gives the medication. We do not judge people actions; We address the situation from the medical point of view only especially in case of allergy as it act like a snow ball effect (itching will compromise skin barrier, bacterial dermatitis will develop, otitis externa will occur and needs medication to control; etc...). And when is it a repeated situation like in this case. It was when Mrs. Leighton started shouting and said don't give me this attituded; among other things.The lady veterinarian was just asking to verify compliance. Shouting and verbal abuse are not tolerated and that is why we asked you kindly to find another veterinarian. We wish all the best

I haven’t been so blessed in my life other then having John and Rita taking care of my fur babies. I lost my little white dog cookie but it wasn’t due to lack of trying John went above and beyond to save her but I guess it was her time😢she was 13.
My English bulldog struggle with tail infection from day one and no one could figure it out other then John sadie had to have her tail removed because she was born with a defected tail and the infection would never go away due to the deformity that John had figured out. John was hesitant to perform the surgery because he hadn’t done one to that scale before but I had faith in him he done the surgery with better results then expected! Now all my babies are happy healthy and living their best life with no issues.
I would trust these two with my life💞💞💞

I can not say enough about how professional and caring both vets are at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Here are all the pluses: phone calls are answered by a human, emergencies are dealt with immediately, follow ups are part of the caring plan and the level of experience and expertise of both vets is next to none. To me, the important part is their constant need to ensure that the smallest details are considered and looked at when caring for my dog.

We were so touched by the kindness and compassion at Saint Mary's. They truly care and take the time to talk with you to really make sure your pet gets the best care possible. We just had to put our 15 year old cat, Webster, down. Such a hard thing to do, but it made it a little easier because of their kind and understanding ways. In time, we will likely get another cat, the house is so empty now. And for sure, we will be taking our cat to Saint Mary. They are the most caring vets I have ever come across. Kindness at such a dark time means so much. Would recommend them to anyone and their prices are very reasonable.

John and Rita really care about your pets! We have been taking Max there for about six years and they take great care of him. He had a mass removed by John and the outcome has been excellent. John showed us and explained thoroughly how we could treat Max at home! He was seeing Max every second day and not charging us a cent! He and Max have become great friends and I can't say enough good things about the service John and Rita provide to Max and us. Highly recommended by myself and Mike. Thank you , John and Rita. Absolutely terrible, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to take their pet here! Took my dog in with an emergency they looked her over decided she would need a shot of sedative brought me a paper to sign with what they told me the price would be, afterwards it was almost $125 more than my quoted price. Then the icing on the cake, I asked how long sedative would last and I was told half an hour, on our 30 minuet drive home her sedative had finally kicked in fully and she could no longer lift her head up. I called back and was told that I could bring her back in if I really thought it was necessary but that by the time I got her back she would "probably be fine" after all she walked out of the vet's office and got into the car. My poor dog couldn't stand up for 5 hours after I got her home. Never again.

It took a few trips into see John but he finally figured out what was wrong with him. I should mention that Hunter was pretty much on his death bed, hadn't eaten or drank water for 6 days. John was so good with him and with us, he texted me and called me several times a day to see how we were doing and I am certain he did not charge me for everything! Thank you so much Rita and John!

I brought my mothers cat to the St Mary's Animal Hospital as she was extremely sick. I must say that when I was told that Freckles may not survive I was devastated. I advised my mother and we made "plans". Freckles had to stay at the hospital and on the second day, she started to improve by the evening she was ready to come home. I don't know what they did but they saved her life. Freckles will always have her problems but we know know what to feed her and what signs to look for. Thanks to St.Mary's Animal Hospital my Moms beautiful Freckles gets to enjoy her life, again.

John and Rita are very caring vets who take the time you need and never turns you away. You can tell they really love what they do and they make you feel welcome with a warm smile. They never rush you, and are always a phone call away with helpful advice. Both their hours and prices are excellent and honestly, they’ve spoiled our large fur family with their loving care. I highly recommend them, and quite frankly, would never go elsewhere as they are quite simply the best.

I first started going there shortly after they opened. Due to a mistake from a different vet, my pug got an overdose of the rabies vaccine. Both John and Rita worked together and saved my dog's life...
I first started going there shortly after they opened. Due to a mistake from a different vet, my pug got an overdose of the rabies vaccine. Both John and Rita worked together and saved my dog's life! I trust them completely with all of my pets. It's so nice to be a name and not a number.

Whether it be advice, a check up, or surgery they've always gone above and beyond for mine and my parents animals. Without a doubt this is the best animal hospital in the Windsor area (I've been to them all). They are much more attentive and caring than the others. Also the people here are very friendly and informative. They took the time to explain everything in detail, and made my cat much healthier and happier. You wont get just another temporary and expensive solution with this animal hospital, you'll get a long-term solution and a better quality of life for your pet. Very much recommended!

We recently had one our dogs attacked by another dog and he suffered serious damage to one eye as well as injury to his paw. The medical attention received by Drs. John and Rita at Saint Mary's Animal Hospital was second to none. They are professional, caring and skilled in what they do. We were very satisfied with the care "Buddy" received from these veterinarians ( both immediate care and post-op. care) and would recommend them highly.
