General Info
We maintain a supply of common medications pets require. When more uncommon medications are needed, we use our contacts at pharmacies locally. We also carry a large range of pet foods. Prescription foods are available for pets with specific illnesses. Life stage diets are available for healthy, young, adult and senior dogs and cats. We will tailor a health care program to suit the needs of your pet. Our policy is to provide preventive medicine and health care from birth through the golden years.

I had a puppy that took a fall off a couch. From what I could tell it was possible the puppy had suffered some head trauma. Dr Hess and his amazing staff accommodated me where my own veterinarian wouldn't. He was very kind and considerate and took time to explain what was taking place with the puppy and showed me the his x-ray. I wonder if he's taking new clients because I'd be willing to drive the hour+ to be seen by him and his wonderful staff... Dr. Hess' patients owners are are great too. Special thank you to the woman who I met outside the clinic while I was debating about going in. I really appreciate the hug and the assistance you provided while I was in a panicked state. If you're reading this CoCo is doing well and I pick him up today (05/14) :)

I have taken my cat to this clinic for many years. The staff, technicians and veterinarians are always friendly, helpful and provide excellent care. Three years ago my cat had to undergo major surgery. Under the care of Dr. Hess and his staff, she recovered beautifully. Trust me, it is worth the drive to Acton.

I have been taking my fur babies to this Dr. Hess and the Team for years and they really get how much our pets mean to us. Recently, as my senior baby was going through a sudden onslaught of emergency issues, the whole clinic truly seemed to rally around us to assist in her urgent care. When it was time for us to finally say good-bye to her there was support, a thoughtful process and even a homey family room where we could sit with her for a private goodbye. A thoughtfull sympathy card signed by all and phone checks followed. This note is my return thanks and I am sure we'll be introducing someone new as soon as the tears clear.

Acton Veterinary Clinic is the only clinic I trust with my pet, each and every visit I feel at ease as Dr. Hess takes the time to thoroughly explain every detail to me. I am always greeted kindly by the front desk and I have even had Dr. Hess and the team follow up to ensure all is okay. Highly recommended!

i would like to thank Dr.Hess and his staff for there hospitality and great service they provided for me yesterday. This veterinary clinic takes the time to really take care of your loved ones. My baby girl Diamond got so sick 3 days after delivering 7 beautiful puppies with bloody diarrhoea and vomiting Dr.Hess and staff took her in with no questions asked even after closing time they all stayed!!!!!!. How many vets do you know that will do that.? After he looked over diamond he them took care of all the pups. He really takes the time to answer all your question and he stays calm, which helps, so would i recommend this veterinary clinic ABSOLUTELY . I just found my new vet.

We are just so overjoyed to find a vet that really cares and means it. Worth the drive to Acton. Dr Stephen Hess spent so much time with us and explained so much. We were in no way hurried out like most vet clinics will do. Our dog just loved Dr Hess, lol. When we went to leave he started to follow the doctor and forgot about coming with us. Yes at last we have found a vet that we can trust and feel so comfortable with.

Dr Hess is the best vet I have known.All of the Drs at Acton vet clinic are wonderful.They are all very caring and compassionate.They always take the time to explain everything, you are never rushed out of that office.My dog was near death he had seizure after seizure.It did not look good for our boy but Dr Hess seen us right away and saved our dogs life.Thank you so very very much to the amazing Doctors and staff at the Acton vet.I definitely believe in miracles now!

Dr Hess is the.best vet I've ever used. I came from a small town west of Kitchener with my German Shepard 10 years ago(just moved into Acton). She hated the vet . She had to be muzzeled to go to her old vet and would bark at place even if I drove by it. Dr Hess took of her muzzel and I thought he was a dead man but she kissed him and her tail waggeled non stop. He now looks after my Basset Hound and Chocolate lab and he treats them awesome. His entire staff is great with animals also.

Dr. Hess is a fantastic Vet. He takes his time with your pets, he listens, he's honest and out of all 8 pets we've had throughout the years - there has never been a problem he couldn't solve. Even after I moved to the city, I still drive to the Acton Veterinary Clinic for my two dogs. I would highly recommend Dr. Hess and the Acton Veterinary Clinic.

My family has been taking our animals to Dr. Hess for the last 30 years. This is the only clinic I trust with my current fur babies. Knowledgable staff... And Dr. Hess appears to know more than the average vet about my particular breed of cat (Siamese).

The staff here is very good and they understand how our animals are part of the family. We take all three of our dogs here, and took them in for their vaccinations and summer flea/heart worm prescription today. Definitely look them up if you need a vet in the Halton Hills are - worth the trip!

I had a puppy that took a fall off a couch. From what I could tell it was possible the puppy had suffered some head trauma. Dr Hess and his amazing staff accommodated me where my own veterinarian wouldn't. He was very kind and considerate and took time to explain what was taking place with the puppy and showed me the his x-ray. I wonder if he's taking new clients because I'd be willing to drive the hour+ to be seen by him and his wonderful staff... Dr. Hess' patients owners are are great too. Special thank you to the woman who I met outside the clinic while I was debating about going in. I really appreciate the hug and the assistance you provided while I was in a panicked state. I have taken my cat to this clinic for many years. The staff, technicians and veterinarians are always friendly, helpful and provide excellent care. Three years ago my cat had to undergo major surgery. Under the care of Dr. Hess and his staff, she recovered beautifully. Trust me, it is worth the drive to Acton.

I have been taking my fur babies to this Dr. Hess and the Team for years and they really get how much our pets mean to us. Recently, as my senior baby was going through a sudden onslaught of emergency issues, the whole clinic truly seemed to rally around us to assist in her urgent care. When it was time for us to finally say good-bye to her there was support, a thoughtful process and even a homey family room where we could sit with her for a private goodbye. A thoughtfull sympathy card signed by all and phone checks followed. This note is my return thanks and I am sure we'll be introducing someone new as soon as the tears clear.

i would like to thank Dr.Hess and his staff for there hospitality and great service they provided for me yesterday. This veterinary clinic takes the time to really take care of your loved ones. We are just so overjoyed to find a vet that really cares and means it. Worth the drive to Acton. Dr Stephen Hess spent so much time with us and explained so much. We were in no way hurried out like most vet clinics will do. Our dog just loved Dr Hess, lol. When we went to leave he started to follow the doctor and forgot about coming with us. Yes at last we have found a vet that we can trust and feel so comfortable with.

Dr. Hess is a fantastic Vet. He takes his time with your pets, he listens, he's honest and out of all 8 pets we've had throughout the years - there has never been a problem he couldn't solve. Even after I moved to the city, I still drive to the Acton Veterinary Clinic for my two dogs. I would highly recommend Dr. Hess and the Acton Veterinary Clinic.

My family has been taking our animals to Dr. Hess for the last 30 years. This is the only clinic I trust with my current fur babies. Knowledgable staff... And Dr. Hess appears to know more than the average vet about my particular breed of cat (Siamese).

The staff here is very good and they understand how our animals are part of the family. We take all three of our dogs here, and took them in for their vaccinations and summer flea/heart worm prescription today. Definitely look them up if you need a vet in the Halton Hills are - worth the trip!
