Dog had a UTI; went out 7 times at night. Called the clinic in the morning; had a urine sample. Asked if they could analyze sample and provide antibiotics or some other relief. Told not until next d...
Dog had a UTI; went out 7 times at night. Called the clinic in the morning; had a urine sample. Asked if they could analyze sample and provide antibiotics or some other relief. Told not until next day and could not provide drugs unless there was a wellness exam. Could you wait more than 24 hours for a ‘Wellness Test’ to get relief? Money grab?
Vets are self regulated, so there is no national fee schedule. My dog was suffering and they couldn’t analyze the urine sample without a ‘Wellness Test’ and not until the next day. Come on! Do you get a full physical every time you visit your doctor. Luckily, I found the Wilson Street clinic.

We've been going to Dr. De Boer for approximately a year and we've been very happy with the care at Golf Links. We have a greyhound and the clinic was recommended by other sighthound people: the doctors know about sighthounds. We no longer live in the Hamilton area, but we will still be taking our dog there because we like the vet and the clinic.

Dr Pittaway is a wonderful vet. I've had many dealings with him over the years and he is by far the most kind, compassionate and knowledgeable vet I have met. I will continue to take my animals to him as long as he is in business. The clinic is always impeccably clean, and the staff are friendly, attentive, caring as well. Hands down the best clinic in town.

I can't possibly articulate just how particular I am and how difficult to please; and yet, Dr. Pittaway is the perfect vet for our family. I trust him, my dogs trust him, he's knowledgeable, he's accessible, he appreciates my point of view, he has a great sense of humour, he's great at his job, he's great with my dogs, he acknowledges other approaches to veterinary care outside of traditional western medicine, his clinic is clean, his staff is professional, he goes more than the extra mile. I drive over an hour each way to visit him. I would drive 3.

I have required a vet for my cats and dogs over the years many times (since 1981). Dr. Pittaway is, by far, the most compassionate and competent vet I have every encountered; I can't say enough about his bedside manner, the gentle way he handles our two dogs. They seem to intuitively know he has their best interest in mind. His staff is also phenomenal. I would never go anywhere else.

I want to thank Dr. Pittaway and his most caring Staff for all their love and support they have given me and my little Eddie, God rest his soul! Saying goodbye to my one and only, was one of the most difficult times of my life. Not only do I trust that Dr. Pittaway is a very knowledgeable Veterinarian but also I feel was put on this earth to help these helpless animals and there owners give the best health treatment and love needed in these most difficult times. What makes me accept the loss is that I strongly believe Dr. Pittaway and his staff had Eddies well being at heart and avoided him from a long suffering ending which I know would have broken my heart. I am confident to recommend Dr. Pittaway and his competent staff to all my family, friends and co-workers for the care of their loving pets in need. Again, Eddie and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr. Pittaway is, by far, the most compassionate and competent vet I have every encountered; I can't say enough about his bedside manner, the gentle way he handles our two dogs.
