Used to go here few years back and had a couple of bad experiences. Through the years I've heard many people in our subdivision, and people in and around town make many complaints too about this clinic. Do yourself a favour and stay away. Too many negatives to mention, and their are so many other wonderful clinics in town to choose from. Oak Ridges Animal Hospital is wonderful too, if your willing to go a bit further south than Aurora

When I lived in Richmond Hill, I brought my dog to Abbotsford Animal Hospital, and even after we moved downtown and had a new vet, it was the only place I would take her when she stopped eating, and after an ultrasound - where we were by her side in the back room, contrary to some other reviews - it was discovered her heart was beyond repair, and we said our tearful goodbyes to her in the room she had received physio for years and was comfortable in.Fast forward and we now have 2 dogs, and they have a local vet downtown, but when serious issues came up with our older dog, I went straight to Dr. Bockneck at Abbotsford for a second opinion and ended up having him do the x-rays and ultrasound. For this ultrasound, she was dropped off and I picked her up a few hours later, along with a copy of the ultrasound on disc, and thankfully she will be okay and won't require surgery.The fact that they have the equipment and experience to do so many procedures in house at Abbotsford means a lot to me. So even though I can get my dog's teeth cleaned at my local vet, I feel more confident taking her for the 45 minute drive up to Aurora to get it done at Abbotsford where they have the ability to do a more advanced x-ray on her teeth. I LOVE my dogs, and my older dog has always been a nervous girl, but she has always happily walked into the back with the vet techs, and that is only when she is going in for a procedure, any other examinations have been done in one of the many exam rooms they have there with me by her side. Lastly, I need to do a shout out to Annette, the head vet tech at Abbotsford, and the first Canadian awarded Petplans 2016 Vet Tech of the Year Award of North America. Her love of animals, and her calming influence of nervous dogs like mine, is a wonder to behold. Annette was the therapist who did physio on our previous dog, and was by our side when we said goodbye to our beloved old girl. Annette is one of the many reasons I trust Abbotsford with my beloved dogs. I am obviously a fan, and don't just take my word for it, there are many Google reviews of other pet owners who love Abbotsford, and a few reviews on Yelp, but they are all hidden.

Did excellent job removing our cats lower canine tooth after she had an accident, fees just seem very expensive they bill you for every little thing. Very professional atmosphere and staff.

I took both of my dogs for teeth cleaning here and for all their other needs too. Everything that is done is the right thing and I'm not the most trusting person in the world but I thoroughly trust the drs who run abbotsford. I usually go to see dr Cole but all 3 main drs are great. Been going for 10 years and will continue to trust them with my babies

Good vet :) dr. Clark is awesome! The facility is very clean. Dr. Clark takes the time to explain everything.. he takes very good care of my pups. As for the previous comments about taking the dogs to the back. It is a normal practice. The dogs behave much better for the services when they are taken to the back. I would also assume the back is cleaner and is safer. You always have to do what is best for the pet. This practice has very loving and passionate techs .. I have complete trust in them.

Abbotsford Animal Hospital is an incredible place to bring your pets. We spent hours researching and visiting different clinics in the area, but none compared to Abbotsford. I am thankful every time we bring our pets in that this is the clinic we chose to care for our dogs. The clinic is very well organized and well maintained. Every member of the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and are always quick to answer any questions we may have thoroughly and without making us feel rushed. All of the veterinarians are also incredible at what they do, they make every experience at the vet better both for our pets and us as well. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a safe and caring place to bring their pets, you will not be disappointed!

I have been a client for 10 years now. Even though I moved away I have kept them as my vet - because you won't find better. They have treated both my special needs dogs as well as my foster animals. I've referred adopters here as well. I have seen all the doctors here and they always give me options. Their vet techs are incredible as are their front desk staff!

I unfortunately had to put my cat of 20 years down last year and I can truly say this place eased the traumatic experience. It was still absolutely heartbreaking, but the doctor on duty was beyond patient and beyond compassionate. He was a young doctor (maybe in his 30s) and he sat on the floor with me and went over her blood results countless time.... Never showing any sign of annoyance as I cried my eyes out. I was just thinking about this experience now as I lay here with a new cat best friend. I would highly recommend this clinic. I have moved to Barrie or else I'd still be going there. Hope to find a animal clinic here as good as this one!!

Not really sure what these people are talking about.. My puppy has never left my sight when I've gone. The vet there was awesome and seemed to like my pup just as much as I do! So friendly, love taking him here. Ask for your cost breakdown upfront and you won't get changed for unnecessary things, didn't realize this the first appointment but it's been great ever since.

My dog jersey is a 7 year old Sheppard, she was very sick we thought we were going to have to put her down but Dr. Cole was absolutely beyond amazing! He worked with us on a budget to find out what was wrong and then he did everything he could to get her better-and stuck to the budget as he understood money was tight. My dog is coming home today because of his kind heart compassion and amazing drive as a vet! Would recommend him and his team 1000 times over! Thank you so much for what you have done for me and my family words just don't seem enough!

Like Vivian mentions, this place takes your pet into some back room to do everything where you can't see what's going on, and your pet is scared being alone with strangers in a strange place. I've moved around a lot over the years and been to dozens of vets, and I have never seen any other vet do this. Everyone else does exams, vaccinations, etc there in the exam room with me, explaining what is happening and answering questions.They also run the common scam of giving 3 year vaccinations and telling you to come back and get them redone every year. Vaccine related sarcomas may be rare, but tripling the risk to make extra money by lying to the customer is despicable. Read the vaccine manufacturers own guidelines, and stop ripping people off.

I took both of my dogs for teeth cleaning here and for all their other needs too. Everything that is done is the right thing and I'm not the most trusting person in the world but I thoroughly trust the drs who run abbotsford. Abbotsford Animal Hospital is an incredible place to bring your pets. We spent hours researching and visiting different clinics in the area, but none compared to Abbotsford. I am thankful every time we bring our pets in that this is the clinic we chose to care for our dogs. The clinic is very well organized and well maintained. Every member of the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and are always quick to answer any questions we may have thoroughly and without making us feel rushed. All of the veterinarians are also incredible at what they do, they make every experience at the vet better both for our pets and us as well. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a safe and caring place to bring their pets, you will not be disappointed!

I have been a client for 10 years now. Even though I moved away I have kept them as my vet - because you won't find better. They have treated both my special needs dogs as well as my foster animals. I unfortunately had to put my cat of 20 years down last year and I can truly say this place eased the traumatic experience. It was still absolutely heartbreaking, but the doctor on duty was beyond patient and beyond compassionate. He was a young doctor (maybe in his 30s) and he sat on the floor with me and went over her blood results countless time.... Never showing any sign of annoyance as I cried my eyes out. I was just thinking about this experience now as I lay here with a new cat best friend. I would highly recommend this clinic. I have moved to Barrie or else I'd still be going there. So friendly, love taking him here. Ask for your cost breakdown upfront and you won't get changed for unnecessary things, didn't realize this the first appointment but it's been great ever since.

My dog jersey is a 7 year old Sheppard, she was very sick we thought we were going to have to put her down but Dr. Cole was absolutely beyond amazing! He worked with us on a budget to find out what was wrong and then he did everything he could to get her better-and stuck to the budget as he understood money was tight. My dog is coming home today because of his kind heart compassion and amazing drive as a vet! Would recommend him and his team 1000 times over!
