We had absolutely horrible experience from Barrie Animal Hospital and Dr. Mark Bolton.
My 7 years old Boxer was completely healthy and happy dog before he got to the Dr. Mark Bolton in Barrie Animal Hospital and he advised to remove a small lump from the front paw (non cancerous - just minor cosmetic surgery). After about a month of total nightmare, we ended up with leg amputating to save the dog's life. My biggest mistake was that I agreed to that surgery, because it wasn’t something complicated - just small bulp on the leg with easy access to remove. But I even couldn't imagine how low is Dr. Bolton skills! He made the stitches too tight and blocked blood supply to the leg. That is a stupid mistake even for a beginner student!
A week later technician changed the bandage and didn't notice that the paw is hugely swelled and completely cold - zero level of competency. And only a week later I was there when they change the bandage and was shocked when I saw the leg - completely cold and with no signs of life. Two weeks without blood supply!!! BUT, even after that, Mark Bolton continued to assured me leg is fine and looks good for him. Instead of taking urgent action he just recommended salt water soaking! I know it's hard to believe but it happened. Unfortunately the end of the story was predictable - necrosis was started and to safe the live we were needed to amputate the leg.
About moral side - All of that required additional visits to change more bondages, open a wound, etc. And they continued to charge me even though it was only the result of their own mistakes. Unbelievable level of greed and avarice and absolutely no morals, no ethics!
BEWARE OF THIS HOSPITAL, THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEIR MAIN CONCERN IS HOW TO MILK THE MOST MONEY OUT OF YOU AND NOT FOR YOUR PETS OWN GOOD. Please think twice before bringing your pet here! There are a lot of other animal hospitals that are much better and with much more skilled staff. I hope my story doesn't happen to anybody else.

We've been taking our dog to Barrie Animal Hospital for 3 years now. Very thorough and friendly. Unlike some vets, they don't expect you to pay for expensive tests for otherwise healthy animals.

We have been going here for years. The front staff are awesome, the vet is always friendly. I only ever had one issue with them, but we worked through it and they really do a good job. We had to euthanize our cat and they were awesome once the day came. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Small clinic with reasonable pricing. Like any other vet be wary of the upsells on Vaccines and tests. Have only been twice so will update as my dog gets older. Doctor is friendly but room maintence sometimes seems to fall short (dirty blanket with fecal matter on table) not his fault but the fault of staff. Ample parking.

We had absolutely horrible experience from Barrie Animal Hospital and Dr. Mark Bolton.
My 7 years old Boxer was completely healthy and happy dog before he got to the Dr. Mark Bolton in Barrie Animal Hospital and he advised to remove a small lump from the front paw (non cancerous - just minor cosmetic surgery).
