Dr. D'Souza is so lovely. I love how she treats us and our pets. Dogs and cats! She's patient and explains everything so well without trying to take you for whatever she can, which was our experience with O'Sullivan's. We also saw a colleague of hers once when our terrier was sick and was the same, caring and not pushing extra expenses.

After going to them by a referral, I took my cat to update her shots so I could take her to the groomers the following week, which required all vaccines to be up to date. I talk to them about her lack...
After going to them by a referral, I took my cat to update her shots so I could take her to the groomers the following week, which required all vaccines to be up to date. I talk to them about her lack of using her litter box, and said it sounds like a behaviour issue but lets do blood work to cancel that out. Not even 5 mins later blood was done and the vet was gone, left me in the room, so when I went to the front desk and asked if she forgot she about her vacine!? She told me to come back another day since she wanted to wait for the blood work. ( which came back negative). I was taken back since the only reason I came in was for her shots, and just mentioned something else which they took and ran with. They charged me almost $300 for something I didn't even want to do and told me to come back ( which with working full time ) doesnt agree with my schedule. Went back to my usual vet and wont be going back ever to Essa! What a rip off!

Lost Boys Hope uses Essa vet for all our rescue dogs. They are patient, caring and look out for the dogs like no other. Some of our dogs come in damagaed and Dr June always treats them with the softes...
Lost Boys Hope uses Essa vet for all our rescue dogs. They are patient, caring and look out for the dogs like no other. Some of our dogs come in damagaed and Dr June always treats them with the softest hand. She knows her stuff! And her staff are top knotch!

I was referred to this clinic and will refer everyone else I know. Each staff member was truly concerned about my cat and never made me feel like I burdened them with calls or questions. They always made time for me, and the doctor after a long day at a conference, saw me at the clinic after hours on my cat's last day. Because my cat was a bit of a medical mystery, it was difficult to diagnose her but after doing a lot of research myself the doctor was right and did everything right. I never felt taken advantage of, the fees were reasonable, and I was never pushed to spend more or buy more. But more importantly, they should sincere care and concern for me and my beloved pet. They did all they could for my pet and were accurate and caring in doing it. I would not choose any other vet.

All of the staff here are friendly and great to deal with! Bella has never been afraid of a visit here. I highly recommend every one at Essa Vet!

I have been going to Essa Vet for the past 13 years !!!! Dr D'Souza is simply amazing !!! My dogs all love her and I trust her 100% in any diagnosis !!! She has never been wrong in caring for my dogs ! She is so knowledgeable and if she does not know something she researches the issue and finds out the best plan of action. I now have 6 dogs and I will never go anywhere else. Definitely the best vet in Barrie !! Her staff is kind and considerate !!! Prices are also very reasonable compared to a lot of other vets in town !!!

On Thursday June 23rd we had to send our beautiful big boy Mumbles across the rainbow bridge to Dog Heaven.. He was our trusted and loyal best friend for 9 years.. The staff at Essa Veterinary Services and the Veterinarian on duty were the most kind and compassionate people! They provided our family with support and genuine caring during such a difficult time. It was the hardest thing for us to do although the right one for our beloved Mumbles. Thank you to all for such caring and compassionate service.

I was referred to this clinic and will refer everyone else I know. Each staff member was truly concerned about my cat and never made me feel like I burdened them with calls or questions.
