South Barrie Animal Hospital Vets and staff are unbelievable. If it wasn’t for them my girl Ginger who lived tell she was 13 1/2 yrs old she was a Malemut Husky 120lbs. She had Cancer and bad hips. And with this they did everything to help her live a long happy life which she did because of them. We also had another dog named Marley and she lived tell she was 13 yrs old. She was really sick twice were she should have passed because of them. But because of the two Vets fast thinking they saved her life. They are the most caring office and we would never change offices. There very caring and compassionate and u need that in a Vet. People if u want a office that puts your animals first all the time this is the office for u. There a very loving,caring and very compassionate Thank u to Dr Iqubal , Dr Nezra and staff

We just moved into the area and they were recommended and had great reviews. They took our Ginger with only 20 min notice and were understanding about us not having much money due to all the moving expenses. He made some viable suggestions and worked with our very difficult little girl during her trying time. Thanks. We have not found our new vet

We had absolutely horrible experience from Barrie Animal Hospital and Dr. Mark Bolton.
My 7 years old Boxer was completely healthy and happy dog before he got to the Dr. Mark Bolton in Barrie Animal Hospital and he advised to remove a small lump from the front paw (non cancerous - just minor cosmetic surgery). After about a month of total nightmare, we ended up with leg amputating to save the dog's life. My biggest mistake was that I agreed to that surgery, because it wasn’t something complicated - just small bulp on the leg with easy access to remove. But I even couldn't imagine how low is Dr. Bolton skills! He made the stitches too tight and blocked blood supply to the leg. That is a stupid mistake even for a beginner student!
A week later technician changed the bandage and didn't notice that the paw is hugely swelled and completely cold - zero level of competency. And only a week later I was there when they change the bandage and was shocked when I saw the leg - completely cold and with no signs of life. Two weeks without blood supply!!! BUT, even after that, Mark Bolton continued to assured me leg is fine and looks good for him. Instead of taking urgent action he just recommended salt water soaking! I know it's hard to believe but it happened. Unfortunately the end of the story was predictable - necrosis was started and to safe the live we were needed to amputate the leg.
About moral side - All of that required additional visits to change more bondages, open a wound, etc. And they continued to charge me even though it was only the result of their own mistakes. Unbelievable level of greed and avarice and absolutely no morals, no ethics!
BEWARE OF THIS HOSPITAL, THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEIR MAIN CONCERN IS HOW TO MILK THE MOST MONEY OUT OF YOU AND NOT FOR YOUR PETS OWN GOOD. Please think twice before bringing your pet here! There are a lot of other animal hospitals that are much better and with much more skilled staff. I hope my story doesn't happen to anybody else.

We have had all our cats treated here for years and the vets and staff here are top notch. The prices are very reasonable compared to all other vets in Barrie, and the Doctor's never try to push us to do costly bloodwork unless absolutely necessary. 1 of our 11 year old cats has FIV and has had to have 2 enemas approximately 1 year apart...and in both cases the vet was able to easily determine his constipation by feeling around his stomach without the need of any tests or bloodwork. So I am beyond confident in recommending South Barrie Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets as much as we do...because the vets and staff here care for our pets as if they were their own!

I recently went to this hospital with my brother because his dog Lucky has been vomiting once in a while and has not been acting like himself for a while now. We brought him in, and we were provided with immediate care in which the Vet did an exam and recommended to do a few tests to find out exactly what was wrong with him. We left Lucky with them for a few hours and we also appreciated the fact that they called with updates to let us know he was doing during that time since we were so worried. Afterwards, we were called back to the hospital where the Vet discussed the results of the tests in-detail with us, and we were shocked to find out that he had a problem with his pancreas. The Vet gave detailed info about Lucky’s problem and further treatments as well. We were given some medications and special low-fat food. Lucky is already feeling so much better now and is back to being his normal self! He acts like a puppy again and I’m very thankful to the vet and the staff who took care of Lucky so carefully and lovingly. I’m glad that we agreed to the tests: they were worth it since we found the problem Lucky might had for a long time. The staff were all very helpful and I highly recommend this hospital to everyone! Thank you all so much for your help!

This past Friday my husband and I took our small dog in to see the vet because she was crying out in pain. We told the Vet that was on call, that we suspected that she was constipated. He ignored everything we said and continued to tell us that she would need every test imaginable. A total estimate of about $1269.10. We then asked him to explain why he thought she needed all of this. He had NONE. He basically said that he had no idea what was wrong with her and that’s why all the tests. We then Decided to take our dog to our regular vet once they could pencil us in that day. Turns out, she was just constipated. It was under $200 to figure this out and she has been her normal self since. I do not like this vet. He has “30” years experience apparently and I’m sorry but, zero intuition and cannot listen to the dogs owners, whom know their dog the best. I will never reccomend this vet to anyone. Nor will I ever take my pets here again.

I highly recommend this vet. My dog Biscuit went in for routine bloodwork and the results showed that he was very ill. Dr. Iqbal advised me of his diagnosis and discussed, in detail and extremely patiently, his condition and treatment. Every time I call in or drop in unexpectedly, Dr. Iqbal will come out and greet me and ask about Biscuit and answers any questions I have. The fees, I feel, are very reasonable. They do not "nickel and dime" you. Dr. Iqbal will even personally call me to check on Biscuit or give results. BETHANY is WONDERFUL!!! She is so sweet, caring and knowledgeable. Biscuit and I often go for a walk and visit Bethany. She always takes time to cuddle Biscuit and give him treats. When it is time for any of Biscuit's treatments, Bethany is always patient and loving with him and he willingly goes with her without any hesitation.

If I could give more then 5 stars to South Barrie Animal Hospital I would ! Not only does the clinic always smell & look clean ( hard to believe it is a vet clinic, always so fresh ) but whenever I come in I'm greeted by Bethany, she is a wonderful nurse and is always so caring & understanding. Each time I come in with one of my fussy cats, Bethany has no issue handling them...as they can be feisty. I always get a follow up phone call the next day along with a few days after that which makes me feel as if they truly do care about me and my pets ! I highly recommend this clinic if you want fantastic prices along with amazing staff who go above and beyond... South Barrie is the place to go !! Keep doing amazing and saving animals... THANK YOU SOUTH BARRIE TEAM :D

I never have to wait to be seen by the doctor, even if they are busy they handle each situation with a smile on their face. I would not bring my pets to any other vet ! Wonderful caring staff. Really looked after all my cat's needs, especially when I had to board them. Beth is really wonderful with all animals and my cat Tiger absolutely adored her. He was a real cuddly cat and Beth would cuddle and brush him every chance she got. Highly recommend this vet.

We have had all our cats treated here for years and the vets and staff here are top notch. The prices are very reasonable compared to all other vets in Barrie, and the Doctor's never try to push us to do costly bloodwork unless absolutely necessary. 1 of our 11 year old cats has FIV and has had to have 2 enemas approximately 1 year apart...and in both cases the vet was able to easily determine his constipation by feeling around his stomach without the need of any tests or bloodwork. So I am beyond confident in recommending South Barrie Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets as much as we do...because the vets and staff here care for our pets as if they were their own!

I recently went to this hospital with my brother because his dog Lucky has been vomiting once in a while and has not been acting like himself for a while now. We brought him in, and we were provided with immediate care in which the Vet did an exam and recommended to do a few tests to find out exactly what was wrong with him. We left Lucky with them for a few hours and we also appreciated the fact that they called with updates to let us know he was doing during that time since we were so worried. Afterwards, we were called back to the hospital where the Vet discussed the results of the tests in-detail with us, and we were shocked to find out that he had a problem with his pancreas. The Vet gave detailed info about Lucky’s problem and further treatments as well. We were given some medications and special low-fat food. Lucky is already feeling so much better now and is back to being his normal self! He acts like a puppy again and I’m very thankful to the vet and the staff who took care of Lucky so carefully and lovingly. I’m glad that we agreed to the tests: they were worth it since we found the problem Lucky might had for a long time. The staff were all very helpful and I highly recommend this hospital to everyone! Thank you all so much for your help!

This past Friday my husband and I took our small dog in to see the vet because she was crying out in pain. We told the Vet that was on call, that we suspected that she was constipated. He ignored everything we said and continued to tell us that she would need every test imaginable. A total estimate of about $1269.10. We then asked him to explain why he thought she needed all of this. He had NONE. He basically said that he had no idea what was wrong with her and that’s why all the tests. We then Decided to take our dog to our regular vet once they could pencil us in that day. Turns out, she was just constipated. It was under $200 to figure this out and she has been her normal self since. I do not like this vet. He has “30” years experience apparently and I’m sorry but, zero intuition and cannot listen to the dogs owners, whom know their dog the best. I will never reccomend this vet to anyone. Nor will I ever take my pets here again.

I highly recommend this vet. My dog Biscuit went in for routine bloodwork and the results showed that he was very ill. Dr. Iqbal advised me of his diagnosis and discussed, in detail and extremely patiently, his condition and treatment. Every time I call in or drop in unexpectedly, Dr. Iqbal will come out and greet me and ask about Biscuit and answers any questions I have. The fees, I feel, are very reasonable. They do not "nickel and dime" you. Dr. Iqbal will even personally call me to check on Biscuit or give results. BETHANY is WONDERFUL!!! She is so sweet, caring and knowledgeable. Biscuit and I often go for a walk and visit Bethany. She always takes time to cuddle Biscuit and give him treats. When it is time for any of Biscuit's treatments, Bethany is always patient and loving with him and he willingly goes with her without any hesitation.

If I could give more then 5 stars to South Barrie Animal Hospital I would ! Not only does the clinic always smell & look clean ( hard to believe it is a vet clinic, always so fresh ) but whenever I come in I'm greeted by Bethany, she is a wonderful nurse and is always so caring & understanding. Each time I come in with one of my fussy cats, Bethany has no issue handling them...as they can be feisty. I always get a follow up phone call the next day along with a few days after that which makes me feel as if they truly do care about me and my pets ! I highly recommend this clinic if you want fantastic prices along with amazing staff who go above and beyond... South Barrie is the place to go !! Keep doing amazing and saving animals... THANK YOU SOUTH BARRIE TEAM :D

I never have to wait to be seen by the doctor, even if they are busy they handle each situation with a smile on their face. I would not bring my pets to any other vet ! Wonderful caring staff. Really looked after all my cat's needs, especially when I had to board them. Beth is really wonderful with all animals and my cat Tiger absolutely adored her. He was a real cuddly cat and Beth would cuddle and brush him every chance she got. Highly recommend this vet.
