I brought my healthy male long haired chi in for routine neutering. I called at 11am and was told he was doing "well" and was out of surgery. I was then called at a little after 12 saying that he had many complications during surgery and stopped breathing multiple times on the table. For them to say "they would do everything they could for him." I then got a call 20 minutes after that saying he died... My husband instantly left our home less then 10 minutes away to go to t...he vet. When he got there my Hughy was not only gone, but ice cold. When he first got to the clinic he was told to wait a minute before he could even see his body. Where a heat lamp was put on him to make it look like he had just died, but it was obvious he had been dead for hours at the very least. My husband was then told "its normal for dogs to die from neutering". I will NEVER use this vet again. When I asked for a autopsy of his body. They refused to give me his remains saying his body was already being "dealt with", a vet tec that was working there told me outside that the vet had ordered my dogs remains immediately disposed of. When I asked her if this was routine, for them to quickly remove the remains off sight and disposed of. She said she had never seen it happen before with any other animal. She also tattled on the dr and said during the operation he said IN the operating room and I quote her "oh crap I think I used too much anaesthetic". NEVER will I EVER use this vet again. Nor would I ever recommend them. Oh and then he tried to make me pay for the neuter after he killed my dog. Arguing that dogs die all the time from this surgery. Pathetic excuse of a vet and a liar. Dropped my daughters cat Buddy off at vets today for neuter. When I went back to get him at 330pm, he was not there. They had sent him home with the wrong person!!! Apparently they had 2 similar cats in today and mixed them up. While mistakes happen and they apologized, this is not acceptable. Cat was at someone else's house for who knows how long, stressing him out and also stressing out my daughter who had to later go pick him up. Read Less

WOW..we had a very different and bad experience with this clinic.We called explained what was going on,that we only had limited funds.The lady at the desk assured us it would be ok.I had 230.00 When we got our dog there,we took him into the room,explained what was happening,that we do not have the funds to cover a huge bill,to please do what he could to fix the problem.Our dog could not stand or sit up,he kept falling over,the vet brought a saline bag in and stuck it in the back of his neck just under the skin.The back part of his neck blew up like a balloon and the saline went no where,my dog then went #2 all over the bed and smelt like death.The vet said the initial visit will cost 200(for the after hrs cost), I almost had a heart attack because that is not what was told to us.I asked him to please help where he could,he worked something out to have the x-ray done which showed grape like things in his stomach,all he said was he ingested something,which we knew was not the case,he was a very very picky dog.The vet then wanted to us to pay around $2000.00(he stated it would cost close to this amount) to keep the dog overnight and pump him full of anti-biotics but this would only cover the cost of him staying,not anything else,well of course i got angry.I said can you do something to try and help him now.He injected him with 2 anti-biotics,then gave me 2 of each anti-biotic in pill form.He told me to take him home and in 12 hrs give him one of each pill,that when we woke up in the morning,he will be running around like he wasnt sick.It ended up costing 296.00,i had to borrow the money. What i am angry about is,he told us he would be ok by morning ,he died less that 2 hrs after we got him home.The fact that he tried to push all these extra costs on us did not sit well either.If he had said he was going to pass,it would have been better than telling my family he will be ok and then die not long after.He also gave me 2 cans of some special kind of dog food in small like cat tins,said no cost but was charged 5.00 for each can. I found this man without a care in the world for the animal,he was not gentle with him and he was matter of fact attitude about the cost.He knew he would die and just tried to get what he could.I spoke to 2 other vets about it,and described what the x-rays showed.Both said it sounded like it could have been cancer or something like it if that is the only spot they appeared,it was a full body x-ray and they only showed all through his stomach. Idk..no one knows for sure what he died of,all i know is,he had a lousy bed side manner and lied. I do know of 2 other people with the similar things happen with their animals and both dieing after being given some antibiotics by this same vet. I will never trust this vet again. Read Less

Nice place until you get into the room with your pet. I was there on two separate occasions and talked to two different doctors, both times I was asked to pin my dog down so they could look in his ears. They seemed afraid of my dog. Other clinics would have calmed him down, gave him some treats to distract him while they looked in his ear, the same way I give him ear drops at home. My dog just turned 1, is very hyper, and as you can imagine he does not like to be pinned down by his head which is what I said to the doctor. I chose this place to take my dog because he had an ear infection and it is much closer to home. From now on I think I will be making the drive to Stirling. My dog has never hurt anyone and has never been treated that way at other clinics. If you are not comfortable around dogs, don't become a vet. Does he look like something to be afraid of? Read Less

I just moved to Belleville and my cat Marley became very sick...I was able to get an appointment right away and once we found out she needed surgery, again an appointment was made for the next day. despite Bell not being my regular vet, and this being my first visit here, i truly trusted my little pupper was in good care when i needed to drop her off for an emergency ear cleaning and nail trim. the vet is personable, informative and respectful as well as his assistant. there were no secrets, he walked me through every step of what needed to be done to ensure her comfort and safety, he even showed me the slides of her ear bacteria and explained it all to me. really loved the amount of care that he took with my fur baby. First visit here tonight with our new pup Kira to get her first set of shots. The vet seemed very knowledgeable and friendly, as well did his receptionist. It was a clean, inviting environment, and I look forward to dealing with them more in the future. I am Gizmo's owner and just had to review Dr. Lubana and his staff. We started going to Dr. Lubana early last year when we couldn't reach an after hours vet for my poor Shih Tzu, Cassidy, who had been crying and restless all day.Dr, Lubana told us to bring him right up. After x-rays and a check up it was determined that his anal glands were badly infected, to the point where they could have erupted and required emergency surgery. We immediately left our former vet, Both of our dogs had been there 2 weeks earlier and both were given a clean bill of health. However after having both dogs rechecked by Dr. Lubana, not only were Cassidy's anal glands infected but both he and Piper had pretty bad ear infections. Dr. Lubana is the most caring vet I have encountered. He truly cares about the animals and works with you to make sure they get the best care. At the end of September I had to take my beloved 15 1//2 year old Burmese, Pudge to be put to sleep. Dr. Lubana ensured that Pudge felt nothing, giving him a sedative before injecting the drug to stop his heart. We had previously had another animal put to sleep and that vet did not give the sedative! That poor dog was terrified at the end and I wouldn't wish that departure from this world on anyone! This animal hospital was the only one in Belleville that would take my Rosie in for treatment when she contacted PARVO as a puppy. She was so close to death following after hours (and very expensive) treatment at the emergency animal hospital in rossmore .... Our veterinarian that we had used for years with our other dog and cat would even let her in the building. My dog would not be here today of it were not for their amazing care and genuine concern. I absolutely regret bringing my dog to this pathetic excuse for a veterinary clinic. My pug had a cut on his eye and Dr. Lubana prescribed us drops and reassured us it would heal. After a week it seemed to be worse and his eye was turning blue, and the scratch was quite pronounced so we took him back. (After arguing with the receptionist, who insisted we had never been there in the first place, and who later realized she had filed our paperwork incorrectly.) The vet prescribed one more set of drops, told us it was normal and was healing and sent us home. Well over the next three days my poor dogs eye collapsed, causing him unbelievable amounts of pain and stress. His eye was literally dribbling out of his face. We took him to a real vet who said he needed emergency surgery as soon as possible to remove the eye. Thinking back to how completely filthy the clinic was, I'm surprised every pet that goes in there doesn't come out needing emergency surgery. For example I have never been to a vet who doesn't have a sink in their exam room. The vet didn't wash his hands once, even in between appointments. And a big red flag was when he took my dogs temperature anally, wiped the thermometer on a piece of Kleenex and threw it back in a drawer. No washing of instruments or hands. Do yourself a favour and stay the hell away from this place. I have already begun the process of reporting this vet to the OCV and will warn everyone I can about this disgusting facility.Read Less

We usually use Dr. Singh, who is associated with the clinic and does house-calls. We first found him when our 20 year old cat was covered in fly eggs, had been dying for weeks, and needed to be put down. He was very good with my partner and even placed him (the cat) in the grave she had dug. We took our puppy there to be spayed and Dr. Lubana was great. Not too expensive, etc. One of the women at the desk seemed to be having a bad day that day (I guess we all do), but not something we have experienced since. Now our pup had a porcupine incident and my partner removed all but one of the quills from her paws. They were kind enough to provide a sedative without needing to bring her in so as to remove the last quill, and cut her clawsbecause she hates it when we touch her paws! So, it may be the worst place for quills, but this clinic had helped us care for our animal ourselves and at home. All vaccines were also done in our home to reduce stress on our dog, and our cat was put down at home as well. If these sorts of services appeal to you, call this clinic. Read Less

Good service for a fair price. The vet gives honest assesment of the situation, so you can make good decision about treatment for your pet. This vet also uses generic scientific names for drugs, which I really appreciate(it seems a lot of vets out there don't even know what they are prescribing, but instead are just trying to sell you a product). I love this place! Took my mothers cat in the other night who was in terrible pain and covered in maggots. It was literally eating this cat alive. I called after hours and explained everything to him he told me $70 to have the cat put down and $60 for after hours call which was less then it usually is but because it was in so much pain he as I did didn't want the cat to suffer anymore. When I took the cat in he was very sympathetic, explained everything to me. He didn't take the cat from me he let me stay with it the whole time. He moved at a pace that kept me comfortable. He was very gentle with her. I recommend them to anyone. They don't just care about the money they care about your animal.Read Less

This vet office is very well priced. Although it may have just been because it was a Sunday, the vets assistant had no idea what she was doing. I am a vet assistant myself and was doing the restraints for the vet. The vet wasn't telling us what exactly he was doing. My friends cat has a suspected UTI and the vet didn't even try to run a urinalysis, which is a standard procedure with any urinary issue. He just assumed it was a UTI and put the cat on medication along with a steroid shot. (To reduce inflammation) he didn't feel for where the IM injection was going, while he quickly injected the cat I was bit and scratched up because he hasn't told me he was going for it. I just feel like it could have been handled better in a more professional manner, with actual vet techs or VAs on duty. Read Less
