Belmont Veterinary Services

This is the first time I have owned a dog of my own. I went to a couple of different vets in London and was not terribly impressed (long waits, a different doctor every time, expensive). Someone told me to look in one of the smaller areas around the city. I've had wonderful service from Dr Lynn Lam and the young women on the front desk at Belmont Veterinary Services!! As soon as you walk in the door, you are warmly welcomed in this bright cheerful office. I rarely have to wait for my appointment. Dr Lam has always answered my many questions with patience. When the problem with my toy poodle is not obvious, she offers different solutions and tells me how much they will cost. She doesn't push me to choose the most expensive procedure, but explains the various options clearly. I really feel confident in this doctor's ability! The prices seem reasonable to me. When Dr Lam suggested that I try a dental treat, she gave me a large sample size for free, to see if it was what we wanted. I know that this vet service is a little ways outside of town, but for me AND my dog, it is WELL worth it!!! Thank you! Read Less

I have been taking my dog to Belmont Veterinary Services since he was a pup. The staff there are always cheerful and very kind to him and me. Their clinic is always clean and organized. The prices are more than reasonable. I suggest them to everyone. Read Less

I have been going here for as long as I have had my Bassett Hound, they are kind very caring and treat my Baby as if she was their own. They did not make me pay up front as another person said. I can't say enough about the staff at Belmont Veterinary Services. Everyone is so personable, caring and knowledgeable. They do their best to accommodate your schedule and assist in any way possible. They truly care for your pets and don't just treat them like 'animals'. Read Less

We needed one of our cats to be seen on a Sunday and were referred to Belmont to see an on call vet that day. The staff were willing to meet us as soon as we could get to the clinic. It is so nice for me to have a Vet so close to home. My kitties are outdoor cats and do not like to be put in a crate and driven for miles to see a vet so when Belmont Veterinary Services opened I was happy to take the kitties there. I have a soft heart when it comes to strays and after considering taking a stray cat to animal control, I have chosen to have him looked at by Belmont Veterinary Services. The staff were excellent and treated us all well, helping me to figure out how to help this poor animal. I want to find a home for him and getting him vaccinated and soon neutered with Belmont Veterinary Services will be the first steps. I show and breed Persians, have four "house" cats, two dogs and two rabbits. I am also a member of Purrfect Companions of Norfolk Cat Rescue and on a regular basis bring rescues in as well. The health and well being of the animals in my care are of the utmost importance to me. I've been to many of the veterinarians around the area (5+) because with helping the rescue at times I must go to other clinics. I also was a client at a clinic here in Tillsonburg for over 6 years before I made the decision to call around and meet other veterinarians. Dr. Lam (as well as Dr. Raj and Dr. Salvati) are wonderful veterinarians. After so long I think many veterinarians lose the compassion they once had. Many start to see your pet as a number and forget that they are far more than that to you. But not at Belmont Veterinary Services. It makes me happy to know that anything that can be done, will be done (or at least offered). I realize that Dr. Lam only graduated in 2012 but honestly, I love the fact that she is not set in her ways like so many veterinarians are. She knows about many of the new (and more effective) treatment options and isn't afraid to do research and double check things to ensure your pet is truly receiving the BEST possible care. Dr. Lam, Dr. Raj and Dr. Salvati have saved many of the pets (rescues) in my care and I am quite confident these animals wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for their many hours of hard work and dedication. Receptionists, assistants and technicians handle a great deal of stress. There are many disrespectful and downright RUDE clients and people that they have to talk to and be pleasant with (not that they deserve it). I've watched as Kendra, Lisa and Amy have had to deal with these type of people and it always amazes me how well they handle it even when they are being egged on. Even though they are likely feeling quite upset, they put a smile on their face and don't let it affect how they treat and handle their other clients afterwards. These ladies are awesome and I always enjoy chatting with them when I come in. I often joke about Belmont Veterinary Services being like a second home because I am there so often. Funny this is, I wouldn't have any problem chilling out with these ladies (and gents!) each day because they are not only great at their professions but are also wonderful, kind, caring people all around. I have been going to Belmont vet for almost 10 years. I was going when Gil was the owner and still continue to be a costumer with the new owners. I have had wonderful and caring service from the new owners, Lynn (the vet there) and Kendra (the vet tech). Even when gil was the owner it was pay up front as it should be. You can't trust people these days. You Mr. Steve should know that if you have been going there as long as I have. Its like that at every vet. It's people like you who ruin businesses names. You didn't have a bad experience with them you just didn't have the money up front to pay them for a service you needed. They have a business to run. The staff do care about our pets. Very much. The staff are wonderful people and I will continue giving them my business. Excellent people and excellent service!! Read Less
