We began using Aspen Springs Animal Hospital based on the suggestion of family friends who travel from Whitby to Bowmanville for their pet care. We were using another pet clinic in Bowmanville that we kept hearing horror stories about, and felt a lot of pressure to do things "their way". We feel that the team at Aspen Springs is dedicated to providing our dog with the best care, and keeping us educated on the relevant aspects of care to keep our dog happy and healthy. Very displeased with the service. Paid over $900 for my cat and came out with him feeling worse and no idea of what to do to help him. I had two vets from this place give mixed information, and one of them said that "some of their staff knows more about what's going on than others".... I had to go to another vet to find a way to help my cat that wasn't going to cost more than I could afford. I almost had to put my cat down with the information this place was giving me. I wonder how many people have put down their animals due to the high cost of treatment they quote... If it wasn't for another vet's honest opinion my cat would be dead... Read Less

Everyone at Aspen Springs Animal Hospital is absolutely incredible. Our dog shouldn't be alive but because of the personalized care and compassion that Dr's Troughton and Benzaquen provide he's healthy and happy. Our dog is one of us and therefore a very important member of the family, but we can't help but wonder if he's loved even more by the staff at Aspen Springs than he is at home. My dogs LOVE going to the doctor. You can tell that the staff truly loves animals. I switched vets when my Aussie had to have x-rays of her foot and I could hear them with her in the back praising her and her tags jingling in happy excitement. I also have a reactive dog that for the longest time was afraid to have anyone she didn't know even look at her. They work with her amazingly and she walks in with tail wagging. Read Less
