You really don’t know how scared I was when my dog, Luna, got terribly sick and I had no idea what to do to help her. I called the Centennial Animal Hospital where she had been going to for a number of years, and they were so helpful and comforting to us. Did take her right away and helped her out right away which made my Husband and I so grateful that she did not suffer at all. I can’t express how grateful I am. The staff was terrific and always has been. Thank you so much ❤️🫶🏻 Read Less

Great people! During the long weekend, we had a bit of a family emergency. I accidentally treated our 6 year old cat with our dog's flea treatment. Huge mistake. Because we live in a very rural area and it being Sunday of a long weekend, it was a huge concern of ours that we wouldn't be able to have her treated. After multiple calls to vets closer, and no reply we called the Centennial Animal Hospital. They answered, understood the urgency of our call, and got her in asap! They were kind, understanding, and very helpful people who had our total trust. Our kitty was home 4 hours later, with specific instructions for us, as to what to watch for, and how to keep her comfortable. She made a full recovery with thanks to the wonderful staff at Centennial Animal Hospital. Read Less

I was up visiting my sister when her 10 month old puppy got a chew toy caught in her mouth. We tried to remove it with no luck. This clinic was within minutes of my sisters house. When we called to see if we could bring the dog in we were told no as the vet my Sister currently uses was in Gravenhurst and the puppy was not a client of theirs. The puppy was becoming more agitated. The closest after hour clinic was in Barrie. The biggest worry getting the puppy that distant was she was agitated trying to get the toy out of her mouth as well as the fact she gets car sick. We could not even get a gravol into her as she could not swallow. My sister was in tears seeing her puppy suffer and was worried that if she threw up she could aspirate on her vomited. After an hour and a half trip to Barrie she finally got some excellent care from vets that care. Her puppy needed to be sedated as there was no way to remove the toy without the sedation. I find it very hard to understand how she could be refused help whether she was a client or not. This was a puppy in need of help and was within a 5 minute drive to their clinic. That would be like me not being able to go to an after hour clinic here in Bracebridge because I am not from this area only to be told I needed to go back to my home town and use one of their after hour clinics. How sad is this. I don't get it. To say to a pet owner clearly upset trying to get help for their puppy "Our clients are our first priority." how cold is that. Well let me tell you just lost a future client. For those reading this the toy the puppy got stuck in her mouth was a orange Tastybone Trio shaped like a wishbone. Hopefully no other pet owner will have to go through this. I feel bad for any tourist coming this way with pets that may need care being turned away for not being clients. Read Less

I've had nothing but great service here. The most recent vet I had was Dr. Wendell and she was so incredibly thorough with the information about my dog including different recommendations and paths we could take. She did not pressure me to do anything in particular. Every time I've gone here, they have been nothing short of great. When my dog almost sliced off her toe, they did a great job. The technicians also do their jobs professionally and efficiently and clearly care tremendously about animals. All the staff are female (as far as I'm aware), so if your dog has a hesitation towards males (as mine does), then this would be useful. I've heard they are pricey, but to me it's worth it for the service. Also it's nothing compared to a different vet I had in a different city. Would definitely recommend. Read Less

I used to bring all my pets this to this hospital but my new cat's breeder used a different one, i thought it would be better to just keep it the same as this new place already knew my cat. Today we had an emergency and i knew centennial would be open at 9. So i took him in this morning with no appointment, he was seen quickly. The staff and Dr. were very knowledgeable and friendly. I was worried it was going to be expensive but it was quite affordable. They got him all cleaned up and sent us on our way with a plan for health and how to use medication and new food. We also planned for follow up phone calls to check in on us. Totally regret ever taking him elsewhere. I will be bringing him back here for as long as I can. Read Less

We required some simple tests for our dog who is undergoing chemotherapy.  We looked at several Muskoka area veterinarians - and Centennial seemed the most professional on the phone.  They quoted exactly what the tests would cost (and they cost exactly what they quoted) and they seemed to have a genuine love for their patients.  We arrived a little late with our three legged dog, were greeted cheerfully, they were very familiar with OVC in Guelph who is our dogs primary care provider and the site was well organized, large, clean, bright and full of positive energy.  Naturally, lots of vets have this feeling since one assumes they love animals.  Combined with a strong sense of discipline, a cheerful, clean and bright work environment and excellent pricing on their services, I suggest this ought to be a first stop in looking for a vet in the Muskoka area.
