Dr Lee is who I go to when I need full and straight answers, compassionate service, and a very high standard of competence and care. I have almost 30 years of experience with companion animal care and over those years I have seen many veterinarians, and Dr Lee is very high on my best-of list. I don't live anywhere near the clinic but I travel there because I know that my animals will receive excellent service, and I do not have to worry about what he isn't telling me or considering (because he explains everything in great detail and answers every possible question I can come up with, which I really appreciate!), what options we haven't explored (he gives me all the options), or whether I'm being overcharged. Sorry I need to add my review here just because I have read how ridiculous some of the other negative reviews are which are not even justified. I have been a client for several years now with Dr Lee for two of my dogs. Both dogs see him at least twice a year for annual checkup and heartworm checkup. Recently one of my dogs has been seeing him more frequent due to health concerns from old age. Dr Lee is always very thorough and really takes his time to answer all my questions and concerns. He is up-to-date with his medicine treatment options and always has his staff call, or sometimes even call personally to see how my dogs are doing when my dogs see him for other health concerns. There are many vets around, but after been through so many health concerns with either of my dogs and seeing Dr Lee, I am confident that I am getting the best possible advice, care and treatment. In terms of the negative review about how this vet is only about making money. Let's be realistic and honest here. All vets need to make money, it is a business. If you don't make money, you close down. But is it fair to claim that Dr Lee is all about making money? I completely disagree with that. Dr Lee knows his clients personally and based on your finance capabilities, he suggests which treatments are recommended based on your budget. Ultimately you are the one making the decision on what treatments to receive. For required medications he tries to suggest the best available treatment while also trying his best to help you save money in the long term. Dr Lee is passionate about his role and he truly cares about my dog's health. He expresses compassion when things are tough and I am very happy that he is providing care for both of my dogs. My husband & I always have a great experience with the staff and Dr.Lee. He is very informative and personable. We take both our cat & puppy to have services/check ups done and are always pleased. They accommodate our schedule and the ladies at the front are always so friendly. I always appreciate the follow up calls as well! Joey (our dog) had surgery Monday and is doing great! I am shocked and revolted at how uncompassionate the veterinarians at this clinic are. I had to watch my rat die while induring what seemed to be exquisite pain. The vet asked me to pay $80 for an examination of what was clearly an animal in extreme pain on top of another $110. $190 plus tax in total. I wish I had the money to pay for the service unfortunately on a min wage salary I can not afford over $200. The vet clinic did not offer any sort of payment plan or show any sign sympathy. All in all a very cold experience for me leaving me traumatized in guilt over my poor pet rat. I will never be back and hopefully people will realize what a terrible clinic they are. Read Less

Having visited this vet twice, both times i have been pleasantly surprised by the professional and approachable manner of the vets and their team. Prices are very reasonable and they are happy to explain options and cost breakdown of the treatment involved. You don't leave there feeling you are just source of income for the practice. I have been taking our animal family members here for 10 years, and each time feeling like we were welcome. Our Lab, passed away at 16.5 years old, and our new baby was introduced to the Dr's 2 years ago. Recently we had to take our dog "Twinkle" to an emergency clinic in Willowdale and were unable to sign for an exorbitant document as we wanted to be able to have our vet look at her. The following morning without sleep as we cared for our baby all night, and agreed top leave her with them to bring her back to health. We were just starting to make the arrangements and she died before our eyes. It has left us devastated, but wanted to at least recognize the BVH to be truly looking after our pets. Their fees are affordable and reasonable, as we found out with this experience, as they charged 1/3 of other clinics. Sometimes situations place restrictions on what we can afford, as much as we love our pets, but to gouge like the Clinic in Willowdale did is inexcusable.
