I first began taking my little dog Isis to snelgrove to see Dr. McQueen who is the greatest vet in the whole world. She is so compassionate and kind. When I lost Isis she called me to see how I was. This is what's so special about all the staff and vets at snelgrove.....they care and are very supportive...now I bring Lily and I will drive miles to bring Lily in if I have too....they are the best. Went to this vet to get my dog treated. He was bitten by another dog. They glued the wound shut, which I have come to learn is bad because the wound has to drain or it can abscess which can lead to HORRIBLE problems and infection. She told me as well, if he licked his wound open my dog would have to come back and go under anesthesia to get stitches, which would be SO expensive. The vet told me about a "therapeutic laser", which I didn't want on my pet but they ended up giving it. It was only $20 but when I was asking against it, it was still given because it would "promote healing". My dog is in worse condition now because the bite was glued shut and has not helped with healing. I wasn't given a cone or anything to clean or dress the wound with. My dog ended up being able to reach where it was glued shut and it poured out with discharge. But they did clip my dogs nails without charge which was nice. But I am very sad my dogs wound was not treated properly. Read Less

This vet office is wonderful, we have a nervous Chihuahua but she is treated wonderfully here. Everyone that works here is kind and obviously loves animals.The prices are reasonable and they even suggested a follow up with the Vet Tech to save us money. I would recommend Snelgrove to everyone. My family has been going to this clinic for years. Our animals have always been treated so kindly; even our larger more aggressive dog. I now live several cities away but will continue to utilize this clinic as our main Doctor. The people that work here are clearly animal lovers as you can see it on their faces the second they make eye contact with your little ones. I use to live in Brampton and had vet I wasn't impressed with, then my neighour told me about Dr McQueen at Snelgrove so I made the switch (over 10 years ago) and I am so glad I did. Very Disheartening, Called to see if they could see my 16 year old cat today, for his oozing rash on his hairless leg. They had an appointment, great! however i'm broke, can I come in and pay on Thursday? Today is Monday. Them- No... can you wait till Thursday? Me-You tell me, can he wait, its swollen, hairless and oozing" Them- "Not sure, don't you have a credit card?" Me-"No sorry, and I have $30 to my name right now. You really won't make an exception?" A number of years ago we used to go to a different vet and when we brought our cat in because she was losing muscle mass, the other vet told us that it was just old age and there was nothing we could do. So, we went for a second opinion and that is how we found Snelgrove. They immediately diagnosed the problem, gave us a treatment plan and our cat lived for another 7 years after that. Snelgrove staff have always given us top notch service. They go the extra mile to make sure that our cats are cared for. We never have to follow up with anything - they always call back when diagnoses are in, or if food is in. Even though we no longer live in Brampton, we don't consider going anywhere else. Read Less
