We thought not being able to accompany our dog into the veterinary office would be difficult for communication. We were wrong. Prior to his appointment we expressed our concerns and after his exam the vet called us and went over everything thoroughly. We're very happy with the service our pet receives at Snelgrove. Always professional and helpful

When I scheduled the appointment to bring my dog in for vaccinations as a 1st time client I made it Very clear that I had to come in with him (despite recent Covid restrictions) as he has bad separation anxiety (I rescued him when he was 2yrs). I was told they would make an exception due to my circumstances.
I showed up for my appt and was told that whomever I spoke to did not make a note of the exception, didn't remember our conversation and they wouldn't honour the agreement. They offered no alternatives, such as sending the vet outside to see my dog.
My dog is a blood donor and I had the blood work, fecal and urinalysis records sent over so they already know he must be very healthy or he wouldn't be able to donate.
They have lost a potential client because they are unprofessional, uncompromising, and inept.

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, we have strict regulations in place to keep our staff safe. If even one of our staff members test positive due to our close contact on a regular basis treating our patients, we would have to close the entire hospital down for an unknown period of time. Our staff are even taking excessive measures outside of work to lessen their chances of acquiring this virus. We do have a waiting list of clients who are waiting until they can enter with their pets. We are sorry this was not clarified to you at the time of scheduling.

I was terribly disappointed wih the service that was provided and on top of that they have a bad habit of overcharging. When you compare their prices to other vet's you can see the huge difference for the same service being provided. Which can only mean that hey are money hungry. They don't care about your situation as long as they get paid. They know what they are doing is wrong but continue to do so because people love their pets!

I first began taking my little dog Isis to snelgrove to see Dr. McQueen who is the greatest vet in the whole world. She is so compassionate and kind. When I lost Isis she called me to see how I was. This is what's so special about all the staff and vets at snelgrove.....they care and are very supportive...now I bring Lily and I will drive miles to bring Lily in if I have too....they are the best. Lily has also seen Dr. Stephanie Gunsinger and she is wonderful. I'm just so grateful to have found snelgrove veterinary services.

Went to this vet to get my dog treated. He was bitten by another dog. They glued the wound shut, which I have come to learn is bad because the wound has to drain or it can abscess which can lead to HORRIBLE problems and infection. She told me as well, if he licked his wound open my dog would have to come back and go under anesthesia to get stitches, which would be SO expensive. The vet told me about a "therapeutic laser", which I didn't want on my pet but they ended up giving it. It was only $20 but when I was asking against it, it was still given because it would "promote healing". My dog is in worse condition now because the bite was glued shut and has not helped with healing. I wasn't given a cone or anything to clean or dress the wound with. My dog ended up being able to reach where it was glued shut and it poured out with discharge. But they did clip my dogs nails without charge which was nice. But I am very sad my dogs wound was not treated properly.

My family has been going to this clinic for years. Our animals have always been treated so kindly; even our larger more aggressive dog. I now live several cities away but will continue to utilize this clinic as our main Doctor. The people that work here are clearly animal lovers as you can see it on their faces the second they make eye contact with your little ones. Dr. Ioannou is a wonderful person who clearly cares about your pets.

All the staff at Snelgrove are absolutely wonderful. Thanks so much for taking care of Luci and all our previous furry family members. Particularly with Luci, you've helped a lot for her arthritic changes in her leg, and she has become more active and is much happier again. Thanks to Dr. Jessica for giving me the advice needed to help her overcome her fear of 'the vet' as well. Perserverance really paid off! Not having to worry about going there to get a checkup makes it worth the extra efforts.

I have since moved to Whitby yet I still make the drive 2 hours round trip, in order to have my dogs stay in the amazing care of Dr McQueen.

A number of years ago we used to go to a different vet and when we brought our cat in because she was losing muscle mass, the other vet told us that it was just old age and there was nothing we could do. So, we went for a second opinion and that is how we found Snelgrove. They immediately diagnosed the problem, gave us a treatment plan and our cat lived for another 7 years after that. Snelgrove staff have always given us top notch service. They go the extra mile to make sure that our cats are cared for. We never have to follow up with anything - they always call back when diagnoses are in, or if food is in. Even though we no longer live in Brampton, we don't consider going anywhere else.

Went to this vet to get my dog treated. He was bitten by another dog. They glued the wound shut, which I have come to learn is bad because the wound has to drain or it can abscess which can lead to HORRIBLE problems and infection. She told me as well, if he licked his wound open my dog would have to come back and go under anesthesia to get stitches, which would be SO expensive. The vet told me about a "therapeutic laser", which I didn't want on my pet but they ended up giving it. It was only $20 but when I was asking against it, it was still given because it would "promote healing". My dog is in worse condition now because the bite was glued shut and has not helped with healing. I wasn't given a cone or anything to clean or dress the wound with. My dog ended up being able to reach where it was glued shut and it poured out with discharge. But they did clip my dogs nails without charge which was nice. But I am very sad my dogs wound was not treated properly.

My family has been going to this clinic for years. Our animals have always been treated so kindly; even our larger more aggressive dog. I now live several cities away but will continue to utilize this clinic as our main Doctor. The people that work here are clearly animal lovers as you can see it on their faces the second they make eye contact with your little ones. Dr. Ioannou is a wonderful person who clearly cares about your pets.

All the staff at Snelgrove are absolutely wonderful. Thanks so much for taking care of Luci and all our previous furry family members. Particularly with Luci, you've helped a lot for her arthritic changes in her leg, and she has become more active and is much happier again. Thanks to Dr. Jessica for giving me the advice needed to help her overcome her fear of 'the vet' as well. Perserverance really paid off! Not having to worry about going there to get a checkup makes it worth the extra efforts.

I have since moved to Whitby yet I still make the drive 2 hours round trip, in order to have my dogs stay in the amazing care of Dr McQueen.

Very Disheartening, Called to see if they could see my 16 year old cat today, for his oozing rash on his hairless leg. They had an appointment, great! however i'm broke, can I come in and pay on Thursday? Today is Monday. Them- No... can you wait till Thursday? Me-You tell me, can he wait, its swollen, hairless and oozing" Them- "Not sure, don't you have a credit card?" Me-"No sorry, and I have $30 to my name right now. You really won't make an exception?" Them- "No" I can see that the money is far more important then the health of these animals! #itsonlyformoney #itsbusiness

A number of years ago we used to go to a different vet and when we brought our cat in because she was losing muscle mass, the other vet told us that it was just old age and there was nothing we could do. So, we went for a second opinion and that is how we found Snelgrove. They immediately diagnosed the problem, gave us a treatment plan and our cat lived for another 7 years after that. Snelgrove staff have always given us top notch service. They go the extra mile to make sure that our cats are cared for. We never have to follow up with anything - they always call back when diagnoses are in, or if food is in. Even though we no longer live in Brampton, we don't consider going anywhere else.
