The first time I used this veterinary clinic I was very impressed with them because the vet that examined my dog was finally able to successfully diagnose an ongoing problem my dog had been having for years. The treatment was proving very successful and I was sure I'd found a competent vet for my dog. She (Dr. Mackenzie) was always open to follow up calls and if I had any questions she was always there. But now she's gone. I took my dog in for a problem he was experiencing with his eyes. I spent five minutes with the tech and 15 minutes with a new vet I'd never met before. She stated it was probably just fatty deposits in his eyes and she was not concerned about it. But it led her to another diagnosis that I had dealt with in the past, that of my dog having hypothyroidism. A previous vet had misdiagnosed him with this and it cost me hundreds of dollars in meds and vet visits. She stated that he has a recurring skin issue and eye issues and that these were indicators of hypothyroidism. I responded that he didn't have any other symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite, mental dullness, fur loss, etc. She told me that just because he doesn't have all the symptoms doesn't mean he doesn't have it. What kind of diagnosis is that? We talked a bit more and I left. The worst part was the bill...$76 for 20 minutes of their time! I then called them days later to renew a prescription for my dog that I had taken him off of a short while back because he had been making good progress. But here was still a small patch that was being persistent so I wanted to deal with it. The vet demanded to see my dog before renewing the prescription. Another vet bill so she can assess whether or not my dog needs a med he's been on before and had success with?! Ridiculous!! I've noticed they're one of the few vet clinics that does not feature their staff on their site. I would imagine it's because they have such high turnover that it would be too expensive and time consuming to update it as often as needed. It seems the only good part of this clinic has left and probably won't be returning. What's left is not worth your time or money. Avoid this clinic!

I left Beattie's Animal Hospital in Hamilton for this clinic. Its a 30 minute drive for me from Hamilton to West Brant but its been the best decision I've made thus far for my Frenchie, Salsa. When walking in, we're greeted by welcoming faces and Salsa is treated to all the attention he could ever want. We don't wait long to see our vet and Dr. Jessika Bronsoiler and she is truly compassionate, empathetic, experienced and provides answers to my endless questions in terms I understand. She's given us endless tips at our visits, checks in via phone with us after his recent neutering or when starting new medications (this is everything because many vets want another appointment to charge another visit) and also gently corrects inaccurate information I've picked up from my previous vet clinic without judgement. I can't recommend them enough.

West Brant Animal Hospital's quick attention to my dog suddenly becoming ill after digesting a small piece of homeade "slime" was incredible. Our whole family was incredibly stressed, and we were very scared. They ran tests and told us about follow up. What most impressed me was that for almost an entire week afterward, they called to follow up on our girl's progress and to see how she was! The Doctor herself even called to check in. Very impressed. Thank you for being a great team in a very stressful time for our family!

My dog had been suffering with what I assumed to be seasonal allergies for years. I had been through a previous vet who quite frankly couldn’t come up with a decent diagnosis of my dogs condition and even misdiagnosed him as hypothyroid. It was a mistake that cost me hundreds in vet bills. The doctor at West Brant performed some tests on my dog that other vets never even attempted. In the end through diagnosis and consultation we determined that it was a yeast/bacterial infection that was causing his problems. He’s now on meds that will hopefully lead to a full recovery and an itch-free dog. The resulting bill was not nearly as bad as I imagined it would be - an added bonus. Overall it was a positive experience that yielded real results. I’ve had bad experiences with vets in the past and quite frankly I’m very mistrusting of them. But hopefully my new found faith in this practice will not be misplaced.

We were new clients to the clinic and we arrived 10 minutes early for our pre-scheduled appointment. They stuck us in a room as soon as we got there. Very small room with no windows and left us there for 55 minutes. Did not check on us at all. (My husband fell asleep) We were minutes from walking out when someone finally came to us. Then we find out that our previous vets files were not loaded into their computer and all they had was copies of "paper invoices" from our previous vet. Do they really want be to believe that they intend to read these invoices and get to know my animals. WE WILL NOT BE BACK !!!

Tue staff at West Brant Animal Hospital are in a word; Amazing.
Professional, courteous, caring and sensitive, they helped me to remain calm when my little puppy had been attacked and mauled by a much larger breed dog.
Their competence was so reassuring, and the level of passion they possess for the care and treatment of our animals is unparalleled.
I liked that they explained each procedure, the what, why and how of it, as well as the cost.
As this was a significant unexpected event, so was the cost, and I was given the choice (budget-wise) of what I could afford for my little Delilah.
As a family on a budget, this was truly appreciated.
My dog is doing so much better now, and I know that it was definitely a result of the doctors at West Brant Animal Hospital, and God as well, of course.
I would recommend to anyone and everyone in the area, if you're looking for a quality, choice animal care center staffed he people who care, West Brant Animal Hospital is the place to go!

I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff here. They are very compassionate and truly care about animals. From the front desk staff to vet Kylie they took excellent care of my dog Jack when he was hit by a car. I've been to a few vets before but never one that got down on the floor with my animal and treated him as if he were her own. I highly recommend West Brant Animal Hospital, I'll never take my pets any where else.

After running into an emergency situation after hours; and having no help from another local vet, the team at West Brant went right to work to save my dog. They were kind, gentle and helpful beyond any expectation- even have gone as far as to check up twice now just to make sure everything is ok. After being disenchanted for years with the service from other vets, we were referred to West Brant Animal Hospital and the difference was immediate. They care, from the front desk to the lead veterinarians. My first appointment was over an hour long and not once did I feel rushed, or sped along. They were attentive, informative, caring and fair in terms of price.
A special shout out to Jessica and Melinda who were beyond wonderful with my dog. Just this past week we lost our best friend, Ovi and despite his short time I know he trusted everyone there to take care of him. Thank you.

West Brant Animal Hospital is by far the best veterinary experience we have had. Our family dog was incredibly sick and we had gone to a few different veterinary clinics that were disappointing with respect to the inadequate care they provided, their lack of professionalism, and outrageous fees. When we went to West Brant Animal Hospital, they took a great deal of time and effort to care for our dog. She was a complex case, but the veterinarian was open and honest about the results provided, explained what they meant, and helped paint a picture of what we could expect over the coming weeks should our dog remain sick and what actions we could take should we wish to pursue them. The veterinarian called our home a week later to follow-up on our dog to ensure that she was okay and provide us with an opportunity to ask her any questions at that time. I would highly recommend the West Brant Animal Hospital to anyone who genuinely wants the best care for their pet(s).

I took my new puppy to West Brant Animal Hospital for the first time, last week. It was a totally 'positive' visit for both my Chihuahua Peanut and for me! Very bright and clean when we walked in the door and we were greeted by cheerful staff right off the bat. Doctor was awesome, took her time to explain everything to me, handled pup so lovingly .... how could we not help but make this our "to go to" place for Peanut? Great experience!

MONEY GRAB! We take our dog routinely to this clinic. PARVO I`ve been told by another local clinic is good for two years. We just took our dog this past week, and were charged for the vaccine, when it was just done last January. This time, they made the bill look different then last time. Just to confirm people, PARVOVIRUS VACCINE and DA2PPC is the exact same thing! Consult with other vets before booking any treatment with you animals at this clinic. These are the two things you will see on your bill, and they mean the EXACT same thing! In other news, they made us do blood work due to his age. After taking blood, they explained to my husband that they will require blood work for teeth cleanings (which we never intended on doing), so that was an additional $88.90 on top of our bill. When we initially called to book the appointment, we were given these exact fees $55.00 for the doctor exam with the vaccination, $17.00 for the parvo vaccine, and $18.50 per tube of the revolution (which we never get more than 3). Our price nearly tripled from my conversation over the phone with the receptionist to $306.09. Don`t get me wrong, we LOVE our dog, and take care of his needs. We are just extremely disappointed with this clinic, and will be looking into another that will better take care of our dog.

They offer a discount if bringing in multiple pets for yearly needles and check ups, and they did not try to have us spend unnecessarily for extra shots our kittens did not need

Another vet bill so she can assess whether or not my dog needs a med he's been on before and had success with?! Ridiculous!! I've noticed they're one of the few vet clinics that does not feature their staff on their site. I would imagine it's because they have such high turnover that it would be too expensive and time consuming to update it as often as needed. It seems the only good part of this clinic has left and probably won't be returning. What's left is not worth your time or money. Avoid this clinic!

I left Beattie's Animal Hospital in Hamilton for this clinic. Its a 30 minute drive for me from Hamilton to West Brant but its been the best decision I've made thus far for my Frenchie, Salsa. When walking in, we're greeted by welcoming faces and Salsa is treated to all the attention he could ever want. We don't wait long to see our vet and Dr. Jessika Bronsoiler and she is truly compassionate, empathetic, experienced and provides answers to my endless questions in terms I understand. She's given us endless tips at our visits, checks in via phone with us after his recent neutering or when starting new medications (this is everything because many vets want another appointment to charge another visit) and also gently corrects inaccurate information I've picked up from my previous vet clinic without judgement. I can't recommend them enough.

West Brant Animal Hospital's quick attention to my dog suddenly becoming ill after digesting a small piece of homeade "slime" was incredible. Our whole family was incredibly stressed, and we were very scared. They ran tests and told us about follow up. What most impressed me was that for almost an entire week afterward, they called to follow up on our girl's progress and to see how she was! The Doctor herself even called to check in. Very impressed. Thank you for being a great team in a very stressful time for our family!

My dog had been suffering with what I assumed to be seasonal allergies for years. I had been through a previous vet who quite frankly couldn’t come up with a decent diagnosis of my dogs condition and even misdiagnosed him as hypothyroid. It was a mistake that cost me hundreds in vet bills. The doctor at West Brant performed some tests on my dog that other vets never even attempted. In the end through diagnosis and consultation we determined that it was a yeast/bacterial infection that was causing his problems. He’s now on meds that will hopefully lead to a full recovery and an itch-free dog. The resulting bill was not nearly as bad as I imagined it would be - an added bonus. Overall it was a positive experience that yielded real results. I’ve had bad experiences with vets in the past and quite frankly I’m very mistrusting of them. But hopefully my new found faith in this practice will not be misplaced.

Very small room with no windows and left us there for 55 minutes. Did not check on us at all. (My husband fell asleep) We were minutes from walking out when someone finally came to us. Then we find out that our previous vets files were not loaded into their computer and all they had was copies of "paper invoices" from our previous vet. Do they really want be to believe that they intend to read these invoices and get to know my animals. WE WILL NOT BE BACK !!!

Tue staff at West Brant Animal Hospital are in a word; Amazing.
Professional, courteous, caring and sensitive, they helped me to remain calm when my little puppy had been attacked and mauled by a much larger breed dog.
Their competence was so reassuring, and the level of passion they possess for the care and treatment of our animals is unparalleled.
I liked that they explained each procedure, the what, why and how of it, as well as the cost.
As this was a significant unexpected event, so was the cost, and I was given the choice (budget-wise) of what I could afford for my little Delilah.
As a family on a budget, this was truly appreciated.
My dog is doing so much better now, and I know that it was definitely a result of the doctors at West Brant Animal Hospital, and God as well, of course.
I would recommend to anyone and everyone in the area, if you're looking for a quality, choice animal care center staffed he people who care, West Brant Animal Hospital is the place to go!

I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff here. They are very compassionate and truly care about animals. From the front desk staff to vet Kylie they took excellent care of my dog Jack when he was hit by a car. I've been to a few vets before but never one that got down on the floor with my animal and treated him as if he were her own. I highly recommend West Brant Animal Hospital, I'll never take my pets any where else.

After running into an emergency situation after hours; and having no help from another local vet, the team at West Brant went right to work to save my dog. They were kind, gentle and helpful beyond any expectation- even have gone as far as to check up twice now just to make sure everything is ok. After being disenchanted for years with the service from other vets, we were referred to West Brant Animal Hospital and the difference was immediate. They care, from the front desk to the lead veterinarians. My first appointment was over an hour long and not once did I feel rushed, or sped along. They were attentive, informative, caring and fair in terms of price.
A special shout out to Jessica and Melinda who were beyond wonderful with my dog. Just this past week we lost our best friend, Ovi and despite his short time I know he trusted everyone there to take care of him. Thank you.

West Brant Animal Hospital is by far the best veterinary experience we have had. Our family dog was incredibly sick and we had gone to a few different veterinary clinics that were disappointing with respect to the inadequate care they provided, their lack of professionalism, and outrageous fees. When we went to West Brant Animal Hospital, they took a great deal of time and effort to care for our dog. She was a complex case, but the veterinarian was open and honest about the results provided, explained what they meant, and helped paint a picture of what we could expect over the coming weeks should our dog remain sick and what actions we could take should we wish to pursue them. The veterinarian called our home a week later to follow-up on our dog to ensure that she was okay and provide us with an opportunity to ask her any questions at that time. I would highly recommend the West Brant Animal Hospital to anyone who genuinely wants the best care for their pet(s).

I took my new puppy to West Brant Animal Hospital for the first time, last week. It was a totally 'positive' visit for both my Chihuahua Peanut and for me! Very bright and clean when we walked in the door and we were greeted by cheerful staff right off the bat. Doctor was awesome, took her time to explain everything to me, handled pup so lovingly .... how could we not help but make this our "to go to" place for Peanut? Great experience!

MONEY GRAB! We take our dog routinely to this clinic. PARVO I`ve been told by another local clinic is good for two years. We just took our dog this past week, and were charged for the vaccine, when it was just done last January. This time, they made the bill look different then last time. Just to confirm people, PARVOVIRUS VACCINE and DA2PPC is the exact same thing! Consult with other vets before booking any treatment with you animals at this clinic. These are the two things you will see on your bill, and they mean the EXACT same thing! In other news, they made us do blood work due to his age. After taking blood, they explained to my husband that they will require blood work for teeth cleanings (which we never intended on doing), so that was an additional $88.90 on top of our bill. When we initially called to book the appointment, we were given these exact fees $55.00 for the doctor exam with the vaccination, $17.00 for the parvo vaccine, and $18.50 per tube of the revolution (which we never get more than 3). Our price nearly tripled from my conversation over the phone with the receptionist to $306.09. Don`t get me wrong, we LOVE our dog, and take care of his needs. We are just extremely disappointed with this clinic, and will be looking into another that will better take care of our dog.

They offer a discount if bringing in multiple pets for yearly needles and check ups, and they did not try to have us spend unnecessarily for extra shots our kittens did not need
