General Info
Dr. Nina Honda graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 1994. Prior to that she obtained her Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and designed computer software for five years before returning to school to fulfill a long-held dream of becoming a veterinarian. Since obtaining her DVM degree she has worked at small animal hospitals in Oakville, Burlington and Waterdown Ontario. In 2005 and early 2006 she and her husband designed and constructed Cornerstone Animal Hospital which opened in Burlington in May 2006.

If I would give a lower rating I would.
I am a pet sitter and when one of my client's dog injured his leg I obviously came to his vet for help. I believe it was Jenni Rose who met me at the door. She didn't let us in without appointment, did not take a look at the dog and did not even show sympathy, although the dog was in pain.
I came first thing early morning, the whole clinic was empty. She was very rude and the best thing she could do was make an appointment for us next week.
I wish I could leave 0 stars.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We’d been with Dr Honda since my little one was a just a puppy. But once my dog turned 10, she lost all interest and kept commenting on how old he was getting. During his last check up in August I mentioned to her several times that my dog was crying after every meal, but she appeared to pay no attention. 2 months later my baby passed away suddenly. The emergency vet performed an ultrasound and found he had a tumor in his liver/ spleen that burst causing his organs to shut down. To think that this could have been detected early and treated properly. This woman should NOT be allowed to treat animals- heartless!

Dr Honda and her staff are wonderful! This team has such a deep love for the fur-clients that cross their doorway. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic!

In considering this clinic, first impression was negative. Not only did I wait over 20 min, idling, call ended in silence. Certain there are better vets around!

Dr. Honda is an amazing vet who is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and skilled. She is very calm, likeable, and truly listens. Even when we moved to Mississauga we kept her as our vet despite the drive. For our lab (who had a lot of medical issues), Dr. Honda always gave solid advice and options. She also performed one surgery for our dog and based on subsequent treatment by a top oncologist, the quality/approach for the treatment was excellent. All the other staff also are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Honda.

We have been so very fortunate to have Dr. Honda and her amazing staff care for our pets for the past 15+ years. She takes the time to get to know our fur family as well as our human family and has compassionately helped us through the loss of two of our pets. When our 14 year old Pomeranian, Tucker, was ill this past spring, Dr. Honda went above and beyond with his treatment - without which, we would surely have lost him.
I can't recommend her highly enough - your pets will receive excellent care with her!

I've been bringing my 4 pets to Dr. Honda for the past 5 years. My husband an I have never experienced such compassion and care as we do with Dr. Honda, as well as the staff. They treat my pets as if they were their own. Wonderful staff and knowledgeable, and any questions I may have always answered. Going over and beyond is an understatement. No matter how busy they may be, they've always have room to fit an emergency.
Burlington is very lucky to have Dr. Honda and the Cornerstone Animal Hospital.

We have been customers for almost a year and had been taking our 2 dogs there until they charged us for a vaccine they never administered. When we realized we had paid for it but our dog never received it, we contacted them to setup an appt and they refused to give it to our dog without another examination. I assumed they would absorb the exam fee seeing as how it was their fault but they would not. I would not recommend this vet as they take advantage of their customers and try to gauge you for more exam fees while "pre-charging" you for vaccines your dog has not yet received. Read your bills very carefully with this place!

I am a pet sitter and when one of my client's dog injured his leg I obviously came to his vet for help. I believe it was Jenni Rose who met me at the door. She didn't let us in without appointment, did not take a look at the dog and did not even show sympathy, although the dog was in pain.
I came first thing early morning, the whole clinic was empty. She was very rude and the best thing she could do was make an appointment for us next week.

Even when we moved to Mississauga we kept her as our vet despite the drive. For our lab (who had a lot of medical issues), Dr. Honda always gave solid advice and options.
