This is a terrible vet clinic! They were doing a routine throat swab test on my cat and because of malpractice, a piece of the swab broke off and she swallowed it. They told me it was only 1 cm long...
This is a terrible vet clinic! They were doing a routine throat swab test on my cat and because of malpractice, a piece of the swab broke off and she swallowed it. They told me it was only 1 cm long. IT WAS 4 INCHES LONG! She underwent unnecessary surgery. I also had to wait for 2 hours before they even told me anything! They also encourage you to do expensive procedures that are not necessary.
Save your pet's life and do NOT go here!

My cat was critically l was reccommened to go to them and when l got there they turned me away because l didnt have an appt. It was Sunday early am l was despareley trying to get help. I begged them with my cat lying in my arms crying in parking lot. They couldnt even come out to look at him. Well after driving around in despair l found somewhere else but l believe time was an essence. He passed my baby boy. I will never forget this and how incompassionate and rude the girl was on the phone to me. All l wanted was help.

My dog Riley ingested over 250 grams of dark chocolate. We took him to Askey Animal Hospital where he was given immediate care. Dr. Kohn and his staff were very professional and attentive to our pets needs. They induced vomiting and Riley is back to his old self today. The quality of care and their friendly approach was exceptional!! The bill for the services was very fair.

Very happy with service at this clinic and really appreciate that they are open 24 hours. Parking available. Fees were reasonable. They followed up. They didn't push unnecessary services. I also visited another location in Aldershot and it was confusing when they had records on two computer systems but they seem to have worked it out and no problems recently.

We recently took our family cat here on two occasions. The first visit with Dr. Cheung was a good experience .She was professional and compassionate. Our second visit was not so pleasant .Our cherished family pet was restrained for her ultrasound so excessively that she was limping immediately after and for the 4 days following. While we understand that pets are not the most co-operative and do require some restraining for some procedures, once it reaches that point you should have the pet owner/bill payor assist with the restraining as the pet knows it's care giver/owner. On top of having to put our pet down due to her illness she also had to suffer undue additional pain as a result of a disregard and a lack of compassion for her well being that we had to pay for and will remain as a traumatic experience in our final memories of our beloved family pet. Will never go back.

I took my dog to Askey late at night a few weeks ago as she had cut a paw badly. The wait time was reasonable considering there were other clients ahead of me. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and the vet and nurses were very helpful and professional. Although I have a regular vet I would still recommend Askey Animal Hospital and I am grateful for the 24 hour service they provide.

My family took our dog there who was coughing pretty bad, and was truly uncomfortable to them. The vet had told us that it was a heart murmur and that with meds he would be fine. Left the hospital after paying $800.00 only to have our family pet I’m just pass away in our arms 5 minutes after leaving them. They had failed to tell us the full extent of his sickeness by leaving out that his lungs were filled with liquid. We went back right away... they wouldn't give us a refund at all and Secretary wouldn't even talk with us. My family waited 45 minutes to talk with the vet about what happen and he never showed up. They had left us with our deceased dog for over 30 minutes. Please Stay away from this clinic. they only care about money not ur pet.

I cannot say enough good things about Askey Animal Hospital at Walkers and Fairview. We had to put our cat down last night and the care and compassion they gave us/her was heart warming. They are open 24/7 so we were able to go by everyday this week until the end to spend time with our cat. They are accommodating, compassionate, professional, and above everything else, they are pet owners. I highly recommend them.

For the past four years we always try to make our cat's and dog's appointments with Dr Joanne Cheng. She's fantastic. Her demeanor is so caring and she does remember her patients. She thoroughly explains procedure and treatment options, without bias, and patiently asks "if we have any further questions" to ensure that we understand what has been discussed.
Knowing that we can get quality emergency care, 24 hours a day from vets who have our pet's medical history is quite comforting.

VERY disappointed in the emergency service offered. Went on a Thursday night (2am). The receptionist was very nice and so was the vet. Before offering any answer as to what was going on she suggested $300.00 X-rays which a 19 year old student could obviously not afford. The following day after a short conversation with a vet friend, we were informed our puppy had a kennel cough which is basically a dog cold. VERY disappointed.

I went in a Saturday morning, two people ahead of me, one vet on duty and one nasty receptionist who has no love of animals or her job. Beattie's animal hospital is wonderful! Amazing staff, friendly receptionist great experience.
Asker's is a smelly dirty money grubbing shack.

Terrible experience with our Parvo Puppy Hank. Spent 470 dollars for 1/2 a day at their Aldershot Clinic. Originally quoted 1900 dollars for 3 days. Hank was kept in the 'quarantine room' which was a disgusting old basement room. Finally on the fourth day we decided to put him down as he was not improving. Paced the office for 45 minutes waiting for the vet to come out and say he was gone, she never came back out. They gave us a 'deal' by only charging us for 1/2 the fourth day and handed me a bill for 3400 dollars. Truly an awful experience all around. DO NOT SEND YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

I came in on Christmas Eve with a cat I had adopted hours prior. The cat was found in a home, who's owner had sadly passed away and was alone for quite some time (he was fed by the neighbor). However since my kitty is a Ragdoll, he is very prone to fur matting and had TERRIBLE ones that were pulling at his skin and caused tearing. We were a little upset and anxious as I was not expecting this upon pick up. We brought him in right away, at first the receptionist was very short with us and made a passive aggressive comment saying that we were making her Xmas Eve shift busier than she'd like (she was serious), she was definitely a little difficult to work with. However the Vet we had was fantastic (young brunette). She was very gentle with our cat, understanding and didn't waste our time. She was honest with what she recommended and didn't try to up-sell us.

We called this hospital on Christmas Eve when we came home to our dogs eyeball hanging out.
They told us they were not able to deal with such trauma and referred us to an emergency vet in Mississauga.
They neglected to tell us there is an emergency vet in Burlington, just down the road that we could go to (who might I add are EXCELLENT). It turns out their affiliated with the Mississauga vet, so they send people there.
We found out about the Burlington emerg. Vet from my sister in law. And they were phenomenal!!!
Good to know that that Askey doesn't have my pets best interest at heart and are willing to send us to Mississauga instead of the excellent hospital that's local in Burlington.
What if my dog died on the way to Mississauga ?
This place should be absolutely appalled with themselves. I have told everyone I know to never go here.

My family took our dog there who was coughing pretty bad, and was truly uncomfortable to them. The vet had told us that it was a heart murmur and that with meds he would be fine. Left the hospital after paying $800.00 only to have our family pet I’m just pass away in our arms 5 minutes after leaving them. They had failed to tell us the full extent of his sickeness by leaving out that his lungs were filled with liquid. We went back right away... they wouldn't give us a refund at all and Secretary wouldn't even talk with us. My family waited 45 minutes to talk with the vet about what happen and he never showed up. They had left us with our deceased dog for over 30 minutes. Please Stay away from this clinic. they only care about money not ur pet.

I cannot say enough good things about Askey Animal Hospital at Walkers and Fairview. We had to put our cat down last night and the care and compassion they gave us/her was heart warming. They are open 24/7 so we were able to go by everyday this week until the end to spend time with our cat. They are accommodating, compassionate, professional, and above everything else, they are pet owners. I highly recommend them.

For the past four years we always try to make our cat's and dog's appointments with Dr Joanne Cheng. She's fantastic. Her demeanor is so caring and she does remember her patients. She thoroughly explains procedure and treatment options, without bias, and patiently asks "if we have any further questions" to ensure that we understand what has been discussed.
Knowing that we can get quality emergency care, 24 hours a day from vets who have our pet's medical history is quite comforting.

VERY disappointed in the emergency service offered. Went on a Thursday night (2am). The receptionist was very nice and so was the vet. Before offering any answer as to what was going on she suggested $300.00 X-rays which a 19 year old student could obviously not afford. The following day after a short conversation with a vet friend, we were informed our puppy had a kennel cough which is basically a dog cold. VERY disappointed.

Unfriendly and abrupt receptionist. I felt like I was an intrusion on her day she too k great delight in telling all in earshot how busy the vet was, how long we would have to wait. Reiterated to myself and my daughter "you did not have an appointment". "You dog looks stable". This is from the receptionist!!!!
This is not an emergency service!!
I went in a Saturday morning, two people ahead of me, one vet on duty and one nasty receptionist who has no love of animals or her job. Beattie's animal hospital is wonderful! Amazing staff, friendly receptionist great experience.
Asker's is a smelly dirty money grubbing shack.

Terrible experience with our Parvo Puppy Hank. Spent 470 dollars for 1/2 a day at their Aldershot Clinic. Originally quoted 1900 dollars for 3 days. Hank was kept in the 'quarantine room' which was a disgusting old basement room. Finally on the fourth day we decided to put him down as he was not improving. Paced the office for 45 minutes waiting for the vet to come out and say he was gone, she never came back out. They gave us a 'deal' by only charging us for 1/2 the fourth day and handed me a bill for 3400 dollars. Truly an awful experience all around. DO NOT SEND YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

I came in on Christmas Eve with a cat I had adopted hours prior. The cat was found in a home, who's owner had sadly passed away and was alone for quite some time (he was fed by the neighbor). However since my kitty is a Ragdoll, he is very prone to fur matting and had TERRIBLE ones that were pulling at his skin and caused tearing. We were a little upset and anxious as I was not expecting this upon pick up. We brought him in right away, at first the receptionist was very short with us and made a passive aggressive comment saying that we were making her Xmas Eve shift busier than she'd like (she was serious), she was definitely a little difficult to work with. However the Vet we had was fantastic (young brunette). She was very gentle with our cat, understanding and didn't waste our time. She was honest with what she recommended and didn't try to up-sell us.

I'm not impressed so far. Zero communication to me on how my cat is. Way overpriced. The one vet seemed nice. That's about it. Feeling sad. Won't take my animal here again.

We called this hospital on Christmas Eve when we came home to our dogs eyeball hanging out.
They told us they were not able to deal with such trauma and referred us to an emergency vet in Mississauga.
They neglected to tell us there is an emergency vet in Burlington, just down the road that we could go to (who might I add are EXCELLENT). It turns out their affiliated with the Mississauga vet, so they send people there.
We found out about the Burlington emerg. Vet from my sister in law. And they were phenomenal!!!
Good to know that that Askey doesn't have my pets best interest at heart and are willing to send us to Mississauga instead of the excellent hospital that's local in Burlington.
What if my dog died on the way to Mississauga ?
This place should be absolutely appalled with themselves. I have told everyone I know to never go here.
