I will be forever grateful for the care that Callander Animal Hospital has always given my furry family. Dr. Ron cared for my animals for years and was always there in an emergency. When Dr. Neil came along, he took on some of our appointments, prior to Dr. Ron's retiring, and also did a fabulous job. Once Dr. Ron retired, I had no concerns having Dr. Neil take over full care of my dog (who did have a lot of health issues). Dr. Neil always showed he cared and was willing to take the time to not just deal with my dog and his health issues but also help me figure out how best to proceed with his care. I ended up having almost 15 years to share my life with my furry soul mate, thanks to Dr. Neil and everyone there at the clinic. My appreciation is endless. Read Less

I have no complaint about the vets. Neil has been there for me for almost 15 years . He is awesome and my Yorkies all trust him. I like Dr Nancy and Dr Steve's knowledge and caring ways also. I do find the desk staff has changed immensely. It will never be anything like it was! I hear the best receptionist has retired and what a shock! Wanda knew all of us by first names and our dogs names. It didn't matter how long we had been away, she remembered our concerns and sympathized with us. She was always smiling and giggled as she talked to help us relax as she was buzzing around helping the vets. I will miss her and a few other wonderful people whom I haven't seen for while but that is Covid. I guess the WONDERS of the old building went with it and it hurts. Hang in there Julie! Read Less

Awesome place to bring your animals. These people really care for your pets and you. My parents have been using this place for years and I have been bringing my cat and dog here for four years now. They had one vet in training that wasn't up to par a couple years ago but he moved on quickly and all the staff there now are amazing and very honest. Even though animal care can be expensive, here they will lay out all your options and work with you to provide the best care possible without overcharging. Highly recommend bringing your pets here. I can't say enough about the care of the vets at Callander! I have rarely NEEDED them but when I have, I've had the most exceptional service. I live in a remote community where Callander comes once a year and I am eternally thankful for that. I've been able to call and ask advice, get meds and some of the best care possible. Recently have needed care for my injured dog that I did not want to fly out of my community. With Dr. Neil's help, I was able to get my big fella back on the mend. I appreciate the care given when I made repeated frantic calls. They calmed me and provided advice and prescribed meds that I believe, quite honestly saved my furry baby's life. Every time they come to my community, my boys want to go to the vet clinic. They learn fantastic things from the vets as they take care of not only my four legged babies but also my 2 legged ones too. If one of my kids become a vet, it would be because of the influence of Callander. Read Less
