I have 2 sick dogs that have been being helped by Dr. Amy. She left the clinic I was at in Hamilton, I heard she came to this clinic, but when I call noone seems to know wether she works there, wether I can book an appointment, or anything about her... I just keep being told to call back. Well I got told to call back again, by a lady who called and left a messafe AS she was leaving the office, and it's the long weekend. I called back and, again, noone can answer any questions. "Call back tuesday." Well if you haven't been able to even answer if she works there, and can take my dogs as clients for the last 2 days, what will be the difference Tuesday? I think Dr. Amy is the best vet I have been to, I just really have questions that need to be answered and I need to see a vet, I was hoping for some answers but the front desk staff here has forced me to go see another vet, probably one of the many that couldn't help my pets before I met Dr. Amy. Cheapest very around. But not cheap service. Great with animals. Make you feel comfortable and give you lots of information so you feel confident taking your fur baby home and providing the care needed. Read Less

Dr.Burgess is outstanding. Takes the time to explain the issue and how we are going to fix the problem. Staff are kind and caring and treat the animals the with a lot of care. Plus our dog loves loves the treat she gets when she is finished and leaves. Read Less

Dr.Burgess is the best veternarian ive ever personally met, and this is alot to say seeing my best friend of over 27 years is also a vet with their own practice! Hes always gone the extra distance for us and our pets, hes even come in on a Saturday evening on his day off too top it off in an emergency situation for one of our dogs. Hes the living example of what all vets should strive to be.... We consider Dr. Burgess as a part of our family, his word is final wjen it comes to the well being of our pets! Hes had a few "not so great" receptionists over the years that have dragged his flawless reputation down but i assure you that their not speaking his views all the time a.d recommend requesting to speak to Dr. Burgess personally when you find their not working with you when you call.Read Less

Horrible service ..rude on the phone in compassionate situations..comments such as lessons learned (my car broke down and need insulin for my Doby) ..by far the rudest front desk lady I have had to deal with. Took my cat to the animal hospital of Cambridge and after $1000 of testing they said to put him down. We took him to Dr Burgess for a second opinion and he is currently saving my cats life for 1/10th the cost. Amazing Dr, amazing person. Read Less

I was just at Burgess Animal Hospital for the first time and they are wonderful. The front staff have a great sense of humour and are very friendly. The vet we saw was very knowledgeable and did not push any products, foods or medications on us. They made our experience very comfortable with no pressure for anything. They were fast and efficient with procedure and payment processing...no waiting! I showed up a few minutes prior to my appointment and within 5 minutes we were in with the Vet. We"ll be moving soon and both of us and our pets will be sad when that day comes, Dr Burgess has been our vet for 20 years now and there is no one like him in all of Cambridge, not only his skill as a surgeon but his bed side manner makes anyone leaving there pet feel safe. After looking for a vet that was comfortable with my adopted very large 160 lbs Rottweiler we found Dr. Burgess by a referral. ( a man who owns 3 rotti ) Apollo still doesnt love Dr. Burgess when it comes to needles and getting his nails cut but I would not bring him anywhere else. Unless Dr. Burgess recommended it. He did have surgery at the Guelph University that went very well. I now travel from out of town just to see Dr. Burgess. We are so thankful for his care and the care we receive from his staff.
