Lisa and her team have gone above and beyond time and again for my sick cat.
When I faced an emergency situation, Lisa was away and still kept in constant contact throughout, offering advice and conferring with the various emergency veterinarians we saw. Her team is so full of compassion and helped us get into the OVC when it was necessary.
Lisa’s integrative approach has drastically improved my cat’s quality of life throughout his illness. She has never given up on him and reassured me when I needed it the most.
I feel so lucky to have a veterinary team that I feel 100% confident and comfortable with. They are always gentle with my cats and are amazing at working with them, even for trickier tests.

My dog's health was declining rapidly. I kept telling Lisa that my guy was losing weight and peeing everywhere and not eating, yet there were no red flags for her at all. I requested urine samples several times ( over a year ) and each time they showed protein in his urine, and each time I was told it was nothing to worry about. My dog became very ill right before Christmas and went into kidney failure on my couch Christmas day. We rushed him into an emergency vet (as several calls to Lisa leading up to this point went unanswered ) and it was there that he was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure. This was discovered ( within about 3 minutes ) by a urine test...that showed protein in his urine. So Lisa telling us that it was "nothing to worry about" was actually something to worry about.
Long story short, my guy was suffering from kidney failure for a very long time. Had Lisa bothered to look just a little deeper, we could have managed his issues and his pain.
My dog passed yesterday, a month after he was diagnosed by the emergency vet.
Please, go anywhere but here.

I called as they are located near me , don't do evening hours , don't do emergency visit and only has 1 sat available a month,. Not a convenient scheduling and no mention to help animal in need . Advi...

Dr. Lisa Burgess is an amazing vet! Dr. Lisa and her staff are kind, caring, and actually interested in the well-being of your fur-family, unlike many vets today. She never does unnecessary treatments and is honest about treatments, costs, etc. She uses herbal remedies (which I adore) but she uses medical remedies when needed. I recommend her to any one I run into looking for a great vet.

Dr Lisa and her staff are truly amazing. She blends the perfect amount of professionalism and caring. We lost our 4 year old Bernese to cancer (3 months only between diagnosis and death). It was a tragedy for us and would not have made it through as well as we did without Dr Lisa and her staff. Have a tibetan terrier with IBD and Dr Lisa has been helping with alternative care and traditional medicine when needed. Honestly, can't say enough good things.

I have been going to Dr. Lisa for 10 years. She is the best!!!! Dr. Lisa is caring, gentle and her diagnoses are always 100% correct. When I got my second dog, he was only 6 months old and he became very sick. I took him to the Emergency Hospital in Hamilton and they diagnosed him with allergies. After 24 hours he was still very sick. I took him back to emergency and they took an x-ray and found nothing other than he had allergies. Another day went by and he was not getting any better. I took him in to see Dr. Lisa and within seconds of looking at the x-ray, she said he had pneumonia. If I had not taken him to Dr. Lisa he would have died. She has been my hero on a number of occasions. I live 45 minutes away from her office and if I had to drive 3 hours, I would not hesitate. She is the best kept secret. LOVE HER and would never go anywhere else.

Lisa and her team have gone above and beyond time and again for my sick cat.
When I faced an emergency situation, Lisa was away and still kept in constant contact throughout, offering advice and conferring with the various emergency veterinarians we saw. Her team is so full of compassion and helped us get into the OVC when it was necessary.
Lisa’s integrative approach has drastically improved my cat’s quality of life throughout his illness. She has never given up on him and reassured me when I needed it the most.
I feel so lucky to have a veterinary team that I feel 100% confident and comfortable with. They are always gentle with my cats and are amazing at working with them, even for trickier tests.

My dog's health was declining rapidly. I kept telling Lisa that my guy was losing weight and peeing everywhere and not eating, yet there were no red flags for her at all. I requested urine samples several times ( over a year ) and each time they showed protein in his urine, and each time I was told it was nothing to worry about. My dog became very ill right before Christmas and went into kidney failure on my couch Christmas day. We rushed him into an emergency vet (as several calls to Lisa leading up to this point went unanswered ) and it was there that he was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure. Dr Lisa and her staff are truly amazing. She blends the perfect amount of professionalism and caring. We lost our 4 year old Bernese to cancer (3 months only between diagnosis and death). I have been going to Dr. Lisa for 10 years. She is the best!!!! Dr. Lisa is caring, gentle and her diagnoses are always 100% correct. When I got my second dog, he was only 6 months old and he became very sick. I took him to the Emergency Hospital in Hamilton and they diagnosed him with allergies. After 24 hours he was still very sick. I took him back to emergency and they took an x-ray and found nothing other than he had allergies. Another day went by and he was not getting any better.
