If there was a -10 I would use it...Well they say it is painless and that it is humane... let me tell you it is NOT... we took Scooter to the vets today to cross over. They gave him his sedative and pain meds and said it would take 6-8 minutes and they would be back to give him his barbiturate... they came in and the vet said he wasn't quite asleep yet and proceeded to shave his leg and give him the shot.. All hell broke loose, Scooter started screaming bloody hell, thrashing around and latched onto my hand and wouldn't let go... then he fell asleep and crossed... the vet said that has never happened before... but believe me it was not painless nor was it humane. I have a puncture hole in the palm of my hand that the vet dressed. I will be writing to them tomorrow when I am calmer and will be looking for a new vet. Teddy went in for surgery and never got off the table 5 years ago , now this... I do not recommend Egan Fife animal hospital. I still hear him screaming and thrashing... I would rather he OD'd on the sedative and painkiller... my heart is more broken because of this

I'd like to say that Dr. Egan was very personable, kind and took the time to answer all the questions we ask (and we asked a lot). We had two rabbits we cared very much for and interviewed several veterinarians before getting them fixed due to the complexity involved in intabating them. Dr. Egan has a flawless record and is well verst in the proper methods of intubation for rabbits, which is why we don't mind paying more. You're paying for quality healthcare when you go to Dr. Egan and it shows.

Everyone from the reception team, the 'nurses' and the doctors are kind and friendly. My exuberant puppy, Daisy, is always greeted with lots of petting and hugs. She also loves to give everyone puppy kisses. A nice office with clean rooms. No 'animal' smell which is good.
