I had a very unprofessional and cold hearted experience with this clinic. This was my dogs regular clinic. She is a 4 month old puppy. She had been there 3 times for all her shots and boosters. Two days after her last shots we were camping and she got a fishing hook stuck in her paw. It was in the morning so we went straight there. When we got there they told me a vet wasn’t in yet and they would come out to get us when there was. A vet showed up about 5 minutes later and 10 minutes after a vet tech came out and told us that they didn’t have any openings to see my dog until 10:20. The time was 8:10 in the morning. The fishing hook still in my dog’s paw also had 2 other hooks on it that my puppy was trying to get at with her other paws and mouth so it was a bit tricky to keep her still for another 2.5 hours. She knew the situation of the dog and when I asked if a vet couldn’t look at it sooner she said all the vets had procedures to start that morning so no. I was furious because this was her main clinic and they wouldn’t even look at it or try to do an emergency appointment. I continued to call another vet and called a pembroke animal hospital and even though she wasn’t their client and didn’t have an appointment they said the ver wouldn’t be in until 9 but if we brought her in they would take her right away to make her feel comfortable. So we drove to Pembroke and sure enough they were very welcoming and treated her hooked paw as an emergency and saw her right away. They were very kind and the procedure only took 30 minutes to do. Thank goodness we found this clinic to even consider to look at her when my pup’s own clinic didn’t even consider looking. This experience showed me how they treat their clients and it’s not very good. If this was a life threatening injury or another emergency happens again, I wouldn’t feel safe trusting Cobden clinic would even look at her. So no, I do not recommend this clinic and have transferred all my animals to Pembroke. Read Less

Awesome! One of our farm dogs was having an impossible time pushing out a huge puppy. It was stuck in there for a day and a half. We finally gave up trying to get it out. Called John. He met us at the clinic after midnight. He sedated her and had that huge puppy out in a jiffy. Very reasonable with the price considering the late call. Would give 6 stars if possible! Read Less

Veterinary service 5/5 Very friendly with the animals and very informative. Receptionist 1/5 Was told 2:40 appointment and got their to find out it somehow magically changed to 4:20 even though their call the day before verified it was 2:40. This miscommunication has happened twice now and it’s getting in the way of work. Now that being said a lot of the receptionist are 5/5 that work there but the few that we have dealt with the past couple visits need to be more organized. Read Less

Excellent care of our ailing dog. Very compassionate and sincere when the time came for us to let him go. Dr Crerar is absolutely a blessing. Front end receptionist is very helpful and knowledgeable in her job. We've been dealing with this place for many years. took my dog here to get fixed because it was cheaper then pembroke. they tried to charge us prior to the surgery for an IV that we didn't need. I asked if they would give it to him if he needed it and they said yes. also took my dog in for an emergency and they had to sedate him twice because they didn't give enough the first time. other then that great.Read Less

The vets and staff at the Cobden Animal Hospital are amazing. Kind. Patient. Understanding. And willing to explain exactly what they were doing. All the things you desperately need when your fur baby is sick. I had to rush one of my basenjis in after being hit by a car. It was a Saturday afternoon after 4 pm and they answered the phone! Told me not to panic they'll be there waiting for me. And they were! Did a wonderful job and surprised me by not charging me a fortune for the visit.
