Wee have 6 month old and 2 month old kittens. We started going here when we got the first one. Great people here. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The Dr is knowledgeable and really cares. They all do. Our little guy was malnourished and sick when we first brought him to her. Only one week had gone by and he was already getting better. She even called us everyday to see how he was doing and offer more help. I totally recommend this place for your furry friends.

I recently moved from Montreal to Toronto. In Montreal, I have been taking my current and previous cats to Baker Animal Hospital. That place was fantastic! I was recommended to Dufferin-Steeles Animal Hospital by a friend who brings her dog there. I felt at home right away! My cat was treated like she was the vet's personal cat, such warm and caring treatment and extremely knowledgeable. I just have one complaint: the vet didn't want to give my cat back to me; she said that she was the sweetest and gentlest Siamese she has ever seen! Shawney was scheduled for a dental cleaning the next week and I was kept updated during the process and was even sent Before & After pictures of her teeth! The vet and the staff are terrific! I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants assurance that their pet will be treated like family! Kudos!!!!!!

I would recommend Dufferin-Steels Animal Hospital to every pet owners. Dr Somer is a nice person, I feel comfortable to come here. My 2 cats have good experiences here as well. One of my cat got airway infection and Dr. Somer diagnosed it quickly, after the treatment he is healthy now. The customer service is pretty good, they are very efficient.

Our cat became ill somewhat suddenly after moving to North York and had not yet found a vet in that area. Dr. Somer was able to see us on very short notice(the same day within an hour of me calling) considering we had never visited her clinic before. She took lots of time to examine our cat, ask questions and review his previous medical history. We visited the clinic several times over the course of that week and the staff checked in on us via phone or email almost daily which was reassuring. Unfortunately as his illness had advanced so quickly we had to make the painful decision to put him down. Dr. Somer was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. She even made time to perform the euthanization the very next morning at our request even though she had a full day booked. We definitely will continue to go to Dufferin Steeles Animal hospital as our primary vet if we decide to get another cat in the future.

We have followed Dr. Somer from another clinic. She is our pets' veterinarian, not the clinic. She has assembled a caring and compassionate team and a lovely facility. She knows how important our pets are and that they are members of the family. She treats them as they were her own. She also treats the humans who bring their pets to her with the same respect and compassion. She explains procedures, options, costs, etc. in a clear manner. She has helped us navigate through some very difficult times with clarity and compassion. She definitely goes beyond expectation.
I can't recommend her enough!

Anyone who is a pet parent want only the best for their four legged fur babies. Three years ago, having visited Dufferin-Steeles Animal Hospital and meeting Dr. Somer, Nicole and Kelly, I decided that these are the individuals with whom I choose to entrust my two dogs. Dr. Somer and her staff are the most caring, compassionate, honest and trustworthy you will find and my dogs feel at ease and at home with them and absolutely love to be groomed by Jessica, the best groomer ever! If I didn't appreciate this clinic so much, I would not travel an hour and a half each way for our appointments. Thank you Dr. Somer and Staff for everything.

I recommend Dr. Somer and her wonderful staff to everyone with pets. Magic feels comfortable there, the staff genuinely cares, and they have talked me down from full blown panic when something is wrong with my kitty baby. I always feel like I can trust the advice I receive, that everything is explained clearly (including a breakdown of costs given before procedures), and that every person in the office cares about Magic's well being as much as I do. I don't even know what I'd do if I ever had to leave the GTA and couldn't take my furbabies there.

I recently moved from Montreal to Toronto. In Montreal, I have been taking my current and previous cats to Baker Animal Hospital. That place was fantastic! I was recommended to Dufferin-Steeles Animal Hospital by a friend who brings her dog there. I felt at home right away! I would recommend Dufferin-Steels Animal Hospital to every pet owners. Dr Somer is a nice person, I feel comfortable to come here. My 2 cats have good experiences here as well. Dr Somer is an absolute gem. She is extremely dedicated and does not push unnecessary tests or treatment. I just wish the clinic were more central. If it's convenient for you, I strongly recommend you check out this animal hospital.

I recommend Dr. Somer and her wonderful staff to everyone with pets. Magic feels comfortable there, the staff genuinely cares, and they have talked me down from full blown panic when something is wrong with my kitty baby. I always feel like I can trust the advice I receive, that everything is explained clearly (including a breakdown of costs given before procedures), and that every person in the office cares about Magic's well being as much as I do. I don't even know what I'd do if I ever had to leave the GTA and couldn't take my furbabies there.

Dr summers is by far the most honest and caring vet I've ever met.... I had TV show for animals for 5 years and worked with the best... None come close to her and the clinic

Excellent service! My two cats are always welcomed with open arms. It is heartening to see them respond so favorably. It is wonderful to find a vet and staff that my pets really enjoy being with.
