Today I went to this animal hospital instead of MartinTown because I didn't have time to take the trip up today. My dog has a ear infection and he is a lab, so it happens quiet frequently, the exam went pretty well, the vet was very informative and gave me lots of information on how to prevent ear infections; although, after our exam, our dog decided he would like to mark his territory by peeing on the wall. We have a very hyper chocolate lab that at all costs we have tried to train but we likes to pee on walls only at the vets office; I then proceeded to ask for paper towel and the women then sighs and goes, "yeah we seen", "can you take your dog out of the office its going to be a while". Then our name gets called for our prescriptions; as it usually costs about $150 for an ear infection. Total today; 301.00... and when told that we usually only pay about $150 at MartinTown, we were told that maybe we should just go there then; and I absolutely will. I will not return to this vets office and I will not recommend anyone that I know to this Vet clinic. I have never been treated so poorly at a vet's office.Read Less

Two weeks ago, I was referred to SLVAH with my dog in crisis: bloated with full torsion. He had emergency surgery, then a second hospital stay when he had some trouble recovering from it all. I could not have been happier with how the entire clinic, from veterinarians to technicians to office staff, responded to our emergency, my worry, and my dog's health. The team at St Lawrence Valley Animal Hospital were so fantastic coming in early for us and so friendly. They made this very stressful situation bearable. It's so great to see a vet who's not just about medicine. Dr. El-Korchi is obviously an animal lover and made our pup feel much more at ease than usual vet visits. He also coached us on how to give our pup amazing care so we were able to take her home sooner and didn't have to leave her in a 24 hr facility over night. Plus he made more than one phone call to our house to check in on Pedro. They were all so busy but still managed to make time to answer all of our questions and make us feel at ease.
