Terrible, terrible clinic. Overcharges, alter rates discussed earlier, terrible customer service (very rude and hangs up on clients), tried to speak with the vets, was told was to busy and not willing to speak to me. For excitable animals, Did not even offer a alternative or a take home sedative that I found out was available from other veterinarians. Seems to be only concerned about charging outrageous rates. Decided to finally do some research on other experiences this clinic has had with other folks, to find out that on other platforms, they have terrible ratings. Eg. Yelp. Be aware of Tammy in reception, will talk over you, will not give you a chance to speak, be very rude and will hang up on you. This is my recent personal experience with her. After choosing not to see my dog and telling me to find another vet, I asked for his clinical notes to give to another vet. They said they couldn’t give me his notes and hung up again. VERY rude. I've been with East Oshawa Animal from the beginning because this is the Sunnybrook Hospital for pets. They offer all the advanced technology and a personal touch and with my present dog who is a Golden retriever/black Labrador mix named Max who recently had surgery on his left knee for an ACL ligament tear. My gratitude goes to Doctor George Hillis who specializes in these injuries and other orthopedic injuries who was able to diagnose the problem early and work out a plan to get Max healing fast. The team there worked miracles from post laser treatments with Kadri to the front staff checking in on Max regularly. I'm pleased to say that after only one week Max is showing signs of a great recovery and it'll only be a short time before we're given the thumbs up from Dr. Hillis that I'll be able to take him on more adventures. What I admire about Dr. Hillis is that he speak for our pets. We might be blinded by too much love for our four legged companion to see the real issue. And I trust Dr. Hillis. Read Less

I used them only for reproductive services. I found them extremely expensive and incompetent. Had TCI done on one female dog, the vet took 45min the first procedure and nearly 1hr the next. I have had this same procedure done at two other vets and they completed it in under 5 min. My poor dog had to stand still on a table with a rod up inside her while this vet fumbled around. Small wonder the procedure didn't work. That cost me around $2000 with progesterone timing and the two procedures. Then for a pregnancy check, i had to pay about $250 for 2 minutes of ultrasound. Their semen storage fees are also more than other vets i've found. Then they don't bill regularly so you get a whopping bill in the mail every few years. I will never go back to this vet for any reason. Read Less

East Oshawa Animal Hospital had been providing care for our cat for a number of years. As he is an older cat, he seemed to take a turn for the worse one day. Feeling very concerned that something was very wrong with him we rushed him to the EOAH. We arrived just past 6:30 p.m. We were subsequently informed that they were too busy to see our cat and turned us away. We were shocked and disgusted by their utter disregard for the health of one of their patients and our family member. Will never return to this place again and I would suggest that you consider taking your pet to someone who actually cares about animals and not just about money or what time it is. Read Less

I would 'STRONGLY' recommend you find another Vet as this place OVER-CHARGES, tries to keep all paper work (including rabies tags) or tries to charge you ($25. per animal) for the paper work, which rightly by law is yours. They also charge you an outrageous consultation fees and knowing pretty much what is wrong with your pet they try to get you to pay (again outrageous fees) for many tests that are not needed. e.g. my dog had a skin problem and they wanted to do skin scrapings and biopsies which were not needed.
