If your willing to drive 10 minutes outside of the city this is what you get: amazing staff who take time to explain to you what the issue is, they are always friendly, they stay open for you if your running late, they do not charge those ridiculous bloated London prices and they treat your pet like family. I was just here with my younger dog, who is extremely skittish and reactive at the vet's. Dr. Bhup was wonderfully patient with him, giving him time to explore and settle, and come to him, quick and smooth with the needle for his shot, and completely accepting of my silly, anxious dog's limitations on the exam! This is the absolute worst place. I had such a horrible experience here. I brought my cat here after she stopped eating drinking and walking. I had her for 15 years and knew it was time to put her down. She was in a great deal of pain. The woman at the front was exceptionally rude for no apparent reason. Not friendly at all. The vet that I got was an old man who was no better. He seemed very judgemental and not personable at all. He was absolutely no help. Not to mention it seems his fine motor skills are diminishing. He had trouble even picking up a pen so its no surprise that when it came time to euthanize my beloved cat, it took him 4 injections because he couldn't get the needle in the vein. What was an already hard decision became even harder as I had to watch him insert a needle into my cat mulitiple times, shaving her here there and everywhere. Finally he got his son to come in and assist. The son and daughter were much more friendly, no complaints there. But this old man was tossing around my unconscious cat like she was nothing during the most delicate time. He also proceeded to tell me while she was being sedated, so her last moments essentially that I had to go talk to the bitchy woman outfront. Turns out he only wanted to know how much money I was willing to spend on cremation. So I missed the last few moments of my cats conscious moments because they wanted to know how much money they could get out of me. After my cat has been brutalized by this old should be retired vet, the bitchy woman at the front refused to allow me to take my cat home for burial. Even though my township allows it. I had to leave my cat in the hands of this brutal vet clinic. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It doesn't even deserve one star. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET DONT GO HERE. Read Less

Great care and service; a vet in Woodstock told me my cat would need to be put down after his liver failed, but after talking with the wonderful staff they assured me that the life could be saved. They offered a great deal of information on reviving the cats liver, caring for him & how to continue care. I'm glad to say Pauly is as spry and playful as he was as a kitten years later. Read Less

I have had nothing but the best experience here. I have lost a dog thru cancer and they were so nice and compassionate thru out everything. I now have another dog and bring her here and they take the time to explain things to you and don't make you feel like your a pest or silly for asking questions. Knows nothing about Siamese cats...said my female Siamese cat should weigh 9 pounds when all her life she didn't weigh any more than 5 pounds...wouldn't call her by her name instead kept calling her "kitty"said he couldn't do blood work on her without putting her under anesthetic because she was too small...kept me there for almost 2 hours explaining what he couldn't do without taking extra steps...finally gave her an x-ray which "I" had to hold my cat in position for...decided my cat had arthritis...checked her teeth and said they were infected...prescribed a high dose of Metacam twice per day for pain...this dose would have been very harmful for my tiny 5 lb cat had I not done my research...I felt that he was more concerned about making money then treating my cat...I got a second opinion and they were able to do blood work without anesthetic...other than some tartar build up which was easily removed my cat's teeth were white and healthy...the blood work showed my cat had hyperthyroidism and had Shaw had any clue about the symptoms he would have recognized and treated my cat accordingly...he seemed very nice but as far as a vet goes I would not trust him with Siamese cats...or any other animal for that matter... Ive always adored this family and their care for my dog. I cant say enough about them. We are known on a 1st name basis there since my dog is so high maintenance. They care for my dog and his allergies like they would their own. Best prices in town and they do not try to sell you what you don't need. My family goes there and I send every friend I can.
