Dr. Ben as we call him is a terrific Veterinarian. He has been seeing my dogs and cat for almost 10 years. I met him about 13 years ago when my previous dog who was ill (cancer) had been suffering and we had to say goodbye. He did the procedure at my home where she felt safe and he was gentle and my dog did not suffer.He has been seeing my 2 dogs, 10 and 6 and my cat 9 for as long as I have had them and is always terrific. Just a wonderful man and caring, pricing is better than most clinics with fancy lobbies so do not let your eyes be the judge. He is a very good vet and person, totally recommended.

My 11 year old doxie needed dental work and we noticed all the great reviews that the Donlands received so we decided to take him there. We are glad that we did because 4 weeks later and he is doing great. Doctor Ben was very informative, thorough, reassuring and professional. The price was fair too. I will take my little guy there again.

Amazing spot! Met the vet a few times and he was very affordable and helpful, but I especially for go back for the staff. Found out my cat is diabetic, and they order extra diabetic food and insulin for me before I even ask. When I called in to order some, a girl who works there named Sheena (whom I usually deal with, though the other staff are also great) told me "I figured you were getting low, so I ordered some for you!". Definitely am yet to have better experience at a vet clinic.

Dr. Behzad Farokhzad (a.k.a. Dr. Ben) has been our vet for the last five years for our dog Rosie and our cat Max. We tried three other vet clinics in Toronto before finding Donlands Animal Hospital and Veterinary Clinic, where we felt totally comfortable and confident. Dr. Ben does not push unnecessary treatments or try to sell you things. He offers expert, non-judgemental care. Our bills were far less than at other clinics too.
Today we had to put our Rosie girl down due to non-operable cancer. Dr. Farokhzad was patient, kind and reassuring during this heart-breaking procedure; staff were great too.Hugs were offered and gladly accepted. We did not feel rushed at all. Simple gestures make all the difference at such a horrible, sad time like this.
Donlands is not a "fancy" vet clinic, so if that's what you are looking for you should look elsewhere. But if you are looking for excellent care from an animal-loving doctor who is realistic and fair, I would highly recommend Donlands and its owner/operator Dr. Farokhzad.

Rudest receptionist i have ever had to deal with ever. Called in to book an appointment for my dog and their receptionist was so rude i told her to forget it and booked an appointment at another vet hospital. My friend had told me about the dr. and said he was great, but when having to deal with this receptionist, i couldnt deal with someone who could be so inconciderate and rude. The Dr. should consider getting a new receptionist. Would never bring my dog there if i have to deal with her.

We called back, no apology. Just tried to sell us more meds. 110 dollars to make my dog violently ill. In the past he has charged us for lab tests, and if our dog gets better on his own, does not give us the results. Did he actually send anything to a lab or just steal my money?
He does not spend time to learn about your pet. He does not even read your dogs chart before hand. Kept asking how many months old our puppy was. Our dog is 8 years. He just wanted to push a neutering surgery.
I was telling my neighbor about this. She told me he killed her last dog a couple years ago by misadministering her shots.
DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY. Hes cheap for a reason. Cuz hes a butcher.

The office may not be as fancy as the high end "businesses" other vets operate but Dr.Ben is truly a remarkable human being and it is obvious that it is all about the animals, not the money. All vets should be like him, he saved my dog's life when I could not and I will be forever in his debt. I can't say enough about Dr.Ben and his caring staff.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. HE CAN ONLY DO BASIC SHOTS AND EUTHANIZATIONS.We started going to this vet initially because he was new in our area and initially his fees were reasonable and competitive. When most downtown vets are out to gouge pet owners and he seemed alright for the basics like vaccinations.We have found that he is incapable of anything else.Surly and ever changing and unknowledgeable receptionists make it worse refusing to tell clients important health info for their pet because they claim there is an unknown fee outstanding.We brought a puppy with a skin problem to him. We booked the appointment in advance, that day and arrived on time. As soon as we walked in it was clear he had no idea why we were there, and did not even check with his receptionist who booked the appointment about when we had booked it and what for. Instead he tried to get rid of us, saying that he was expecting a phone call from Revenue Canada. I guess we were supposed to know this meant Go Away?I had to insist he see our puppy because the skin on her face and shoulders was very itchy and red. He didn't even look, just said he didn't know what it was. I asked him 5 questions, like could it be demodex, etc., JUST TRYING TO GET HIM TO DO HIS JOB, but instead he just kept trying to get rid of us - by the way, this was an hour BEFORE closing time. Finally I had to tell HIM what to prescribe or her, in an attempt to treat her discomfort and o attempt to find out what her problem was by the process of elimination. He also quoted a fee for a minor, common surgical procedure that was over 7 TIMES HIGHER than what other vets charge. In addition to this his failure to properly treat an existing health problem in another dog, that, by not investigating it thoroughly in the 5 appointments we saw him for this specific problem, caused the dog to then have a full collapse necessitating, visits to the vet emergency service, and gruesome and agonizing multiple surgeries, and to make it worse, as if being sad and desperate pet parents weren't enough, costing us $1,000s. This dog had the condition for at least 2 months prior to it becoming an emergency. We took him to Donlands 5 times asking for help or a referrl, and we got nothing.

I met him about 13 years ago when my previous dog who was ill (cancer) had been suffering and we had to say goodbye. He did the procedure at my home where she felt safe and he was gentle and my dog did not suffer.He has been seeing my 2 dogs, 10 and 6 and my cat 9 for as long as I have had them and is always terrific. We are glad that we did because 4 weeks later and he is doing great. Doctor Ben was very informative, thorough, reassuring and professional. The price was fair too. I will take my little guy there again.

Things seem to have changed over the past couple of years.Dr Ben's receptionist is terrible and lacks the proper social skills and Customer Service training to be the front person for this business.My rating would have been higher if it wasn't for her.

Amazing. No vet cares for dogs as much as he does. I have been taking my coco to him for years. He cares for your dog not ur walet. Worth the travel.

Dr. Ben and his Team are amazing: one of the best technically skilled vets in the city; always honest; does not up sell; kind, compassionate and patient. He was recommended to me by multiple pet owners when I lived in the neighbourhood, and we've stayed with him years after moving to the West end - the drive is well worth it.

Dr Ben is so friendly. He doesn't upsell you and his prices are very fair. He is smart and knows his stuff!!! I feel very comfortable taking my dog there as I know she will get the best care.

Best animal service provider I have ever encountered or heard about. The office may not be as fancy as the high end "businesses" other vets operate but Dr.Ben is truly a remarkable human being and it is obvious that it is all about the animals, not the money. All vets should be like him, he saved my dog's life when I could not and I will be forever in his debt. I can't say enough about Dr.Ben and his caring staff.

Dr Ben is the best vet my dog has ever had. He is very caring. I have an 11 year-old blind English Cocker Spaniel. Because of her age, she needs to visit her vet on a regular basis. Donlands animal hospital is very affordable. Although I live so far from the clinic, Dr. Ben is the only vet I would take my dog to.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. HE CAN ONLY DO BASIC SHOTS AND EUTHANIZATIONS.We started going to this vet initially because he was new in our area and initially his fees were reasonable and competitive. When most downtown vets are out to gouge pet owners and he seemed alright for the basics like vaccinations.We have found that he is incapable of anything else.Surly and ever changing and unknowledgeable receptionists make it worse refusing to tell clients important health info for their pet because they claim there is an unknown fee outstanding.We brought a puppy with a skin problem to him. We booked the appointment in advance, that day and arrived on time. As soon as we walked in it was clear he had no idea why we were there, and did not even check with his receptionist who booked the appointment about when we had booked it and what for. Instead he tried to get rid of us, saying that he was expecting a phone call from Revenue Canada. I guess we were supposed to know this meant Go Away?I had to insist he see our puppy because the skin on her face and shoulders was very itchy and red. He didn't even look, just said he didn't know what it was. I asked him 5 questions, like could it be demodex, etc., JUST TRYING TO GET HIM TO DO HIS JOB, but instead he just kept trying to get rid of us - by the way, this was an hour BEFORE closing time. Finally I had to tell HIM what to prescribe or her, in an attempt to treat her discomfort and o attempt to find out what her problem was by the process of elimination. He also quoted a fee for a minor, common surgical procedure that was over 7 TIMES HIGHER than what other vets charge. In addition to this his failure to properly treat an existing health problem in another dog, that, by not investigating it thoroughly in the 5 appointments we saw him for this specific problem, caused the dog to then have a full collapse necessitating, visits to the vet emergency service, and gruesome and agonizing multiple surgeries, and to make it worse, as if being sad and desperate pet parents weren't enough, costing us $1,000s. This dog had the condition for at least 2 months prior to it becoming an emergency. We took him to Donlands 5 times asking for help or a referrl, and we got nothing.
