Amazing staff members. They love all the animals that walk in the door. Parking on site. Easily accessible by transit. If you have to wait there for a longer procedure there are areas and shops to run errands. They will also submit to your pet insurance for you and also offer grooming on site. Read Less

Today, I brought my beloved 16yr old cat Moonu who is like a child to me. She had not been to the vet for a very long time, but the clinic was completely non-judgmental and not pushy at all regarding vaccinations. The vet techs were very kind and you could tell they actually cared about animals. I had volunteered at an animal hospital in the past which left a very bad taste in my mouth (the things people do when pet moms/dads aren't around is horrendous), so I requested that they leave her in the exam room for as many procedures are possible. They were very accommodating and did her blood work with us. During her blood work, the techs were very gentle, even giving Moonu kisses on the forehead while holding her, which touched my heart lol. The veterinarian was also extremely sweet (I don't remember her name, but she is young and pretty haha), she was very knowledgable, honest and patient. She explained everything and even drew us a little diagram. I got the sense that she only does procedures that are completely needed. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. I brought my dog in two years ago for a simple teeth examination and left with an unnecessary blood work which I purchased solely based on the reading of their scale which "showed" that my dog had lost 1IB of weight, for a small dog thats a lot. Now I put showed in quotations because the reading of the scale is facing the receptionists desk so they could have said it read anything. I had asked 2x to use one of their smaller scales but the vet did not allow me to put him on it and told me that those scales are for cats. Now thats very odd considering that I just recently at another vet had him weighed on that same "cat" scale and it produced a much more accurate reading than the large one on the floor. Also i weighed him again a few days later and his weight was back to his normal weight and the blood work came back all normal. Now either they lied to me or their scale didnt give an accurate reading of my dogs weight. I spoke with the manager recently and he would not admit there was any fault on their end, though he was willing to refund half the cost of the blood test. Now I have to wonder why even refund half if you dont think anything wrong was done. I told him that a responsible vet would have checked with another scale before rushing to recommend a blood test. I got no response to that point. So Laird-Eglinton Pet Hospital please explain to me how a dog can lose such a large amount of weight and yet act completely normal and have a normal blood work? Could that scale have given out a not accurate reading? And why could the small scale not be used to weight him to confirm such an unusual reading? I purchased that blood work SOLELY on the reading of that scale. I would have not done so had the scale shown a proper reading and/or he was weighted on one of the small scales in the examination room. He was active and acting normal. It was the drop in weight that scared me and got me to purchase that blood work. Therefore I do not want part of what I paid back I want nt the whole thing refunded to me or at the very least an answer to my questions.  that is if customer service is really actually important to them. I brought my cat 5 times over the year for the same issue. They kept on pushing for an in depth invesigation that would cost $$$$. I kept on saying it was probably irritable bowel syndrome. They kept on saying it wasn't, My cat was also pretty old, so it felt like they thought he was going to die anyway.1000$+ later of pointless emotional vet visits, pain medication...I decided to go to a second opinion.IT WAS IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME and they gave my cat steroids that were 30$. The most amazing vets and technicians are here, taking only the best care of the lovely (and not so lovely or friendly) animals. Love this vet office! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Dr.Tung is the best! Saved my cat when she had kidney issues. Almost had to euthanize my cat at another clinic but luckily didn't and brought her to Laird for a second opinion. That was over two years ago and my cat is thriving now. So grateful I get these extra years with her. I am always impressed that the staff and Dr. Tung ask how my kitty is doing when I drop by for food and supplies. Shows they care!Read Less

I have had the pleasure of dealing with the staff at Laird-Eglinton Pet Hospital for over 10 years now. We have had two dogs so far, one of which had numerous health issues. My second dog is well on his way with already two operations under his belt at only two years of age... I have always found the staff to be supportive, knowledgeable, professional and caring. They were also very accommodating, friendly and fair. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great place to have their dog attended to and cared for. Hopefully you will not need to visit a vet clinic often, but in case you do, you cannot go wrong with this one! Read Less

We have been taking our dog to Laird Eglinton since he was a puppy. Our first visit was with Dr. Franklin and we liked him immediately - great bedside manner and knowledgable. I'm an anxious pet owner and he helped to calm any concerns I had. He is an excellent vet who truly cares about our dog. He is always careful to recommend the best option without unnecessary tests, meds, etc. We feel very lucky to have him! We even moved away but have kept him as our vet. Roxanne at the front desk is so helpful and goes above and beyond. One of the tech's (I think Lindsay?) is also great.The reason for the loss of a star is that while Dr. Franklin himself is definitely 5 stars, we've had average experiences with some of the other vets - the usual complaints not able to give us answers after tons of unnecessary tests. Putting him on meds for something so far off from what he ended up having. We now only see Franklin unless he's not working and it's urgent/we have no choice. Read Less
