NOT EVEN A ONE STAR. My friend said that she would take Banjo for a grooming if I wanted to. I agree, it was definitely time. Banjo was getting a bit scruffy and a bit dirty. So off I went, calling around different groomers that were closer than his regular groomer, and that would take large dogs. Found one in Elora. We took Banjo yesterday to the Wellington Vet Clinic and Sharon was the groomer. We chatted a bit and I asked that he not be shaved but have at least a couple inches of hair left. And to be cut evenly all around. Nothing fancy, just an even couple of inches all around. We agreed it would be around $75.00 which is about the going rate. Later that morning I called to see what was up with Banjo because she did say it would only be a couple of hours and it was now 2. Sharon said that he was biting at the blow dryer so she had to let him air dry. OK, if thats the way it has to be I suppose I'm fine with it. A couple of hours later she called to tell me she had to cut him a bit shorter because he was still wet. Again, I'm fine with it if there is at least an inch of hair left. She agreed. Well, I got the call that he was ready around 3:30 and we could pick him up. When he came out of the back it was a shock ! My poor Banjo was hardly recognizable. He was shaved right down! Now, I already paid the fee which I was told was now just under $100.00 because he was there so long. Again, I figured it was fine if he would have looked better. I couldn't believe how awful he looked. I took him home and looked at him a bit closer. Well, it was a mess. His face was uneven, he now had lost one eyebrow. His belly had 6 cuts on it which he was licking constantly. Near his dew claw he also had another knick. On his belly it was so close to his skin that there was almost no fur left at all. Under his neck was also very very close to the skin. I called this morning to see if I could come to some resolution with Sharon the groomer. I wanted my money back. Sharon became very confrontational and insisted she had been doing this for over 20 years and really doesn't make any money at it. I maintained my cool and just stuck to the facts and reiterated the specific problems. She became more aggressive and insisted that my dog was an aggressive dog and was now not welcome back there because of this. And this was now the excuse why he was shaved and knicked in so many places. Lets just say. I'm not going back! Read Less
